A Mayo And Dublin Themed Wedding With Lots Of Green

Articles, Real Weddings
Say hello to Mary and David! They planned a uniquely themed wedding, centred around Mayo (where Mary is from) and Dublin (where David is from). To tie it all together, they had lots of green, which you can see in the bridesmaids dresses and flowers!

Mary and David met through a mutual friend and then got engaged during a beautiful proposal while on holiday in Nerja!

In a creative twist, they had a Mayo and Dublin themed wedding. Mary is from Mayo and David is from Dublin – such a lovely way to include their homes in the theme! The signature colour was green, which you can see in the bridesmaids dresses and flowers.

To match the theme, the bridesmaids wore sage green dresses. The lads wore navy blue suits.

“Our ceremony was in Ballintubber Abbey and it was absolutely fabulous. The Abbey, the atmosphere, the music… everything was perfect.”

They hosted the wedding reception and party at Knockranny House Hotel, with the help of the in-house coordinator, Claire!

“The staff were amazing and so kind and helpful and the food was out of this world. We were blown away by the service from Knockranny House Hotel.”

The wedding was beautifully captured by Agnus from Bokeh Photography!

“She was brilliant from start to finish. She made us feel so at ease. Agnes had us laughing all day, we loved how she done some really fun photos, I couldn’t speak highly enough of her. She even sent me on some sneaky photos before the dinner which I wasn’t expecting. We are so excited to see all of our photos in the coming weeks!”
