How did you meet and get engaged?
We met in NUI Galway in 2006 but didn’t make it official until 2013. We got engaged in Sydney in 2017.
Describe your wedding:
Light pinks and creams. It was a summer wedding so I wanted the colours to be bright.
Tell us about your bridal look:
My dress was Susanne Neville. I loved how simple the dresses were. I went to Kadee in Athlone where Dee was really helpful. My hair was by Natalie O Brien and make up was by Caroline Coyne, the girls were brilliant! So relaxed and fun on the morning.
What did your bridesmaids wear?
My bridesmaids wore dresses from Jarlo London.
What was your ceremony like?
The ceremony was a very traditional church wedding. We had the Corrib string quartet for our church music and they were amazing!
Tell us about your wedding venue:
We had our wedding reception at the Salthill Hotel. I can’t recommend them enough. They couldn’t have done enough for us. Hazel was great and really helped us in the run up. Pauline on the day was so thoughtful and helpful. We had big numbers and the space suited our wedding perfectly. The food was also delicious.
What is your favourite memory from your wedding day?
The whole day! If I had to pick one maybe walking up the aisle with my dad and seeing Chris at the top.
Have you got any advice for other couples?
Don’t stress! I had such a relaxed fun morning with my mum and bridesmaids I think it really set the tone for the day. I didn’t feel nervous and really enjoyed every minute.
