How did you meet and get engaged?

We’ve been together 10 years and 17 months of that engaged. We have 2 children together.

Describe your wedding:

My wedding was very relaxed and romantic. I wanted everyone to enjoy their day and to have a good time. I had a lot of flowers throughout all areas including the church and then the reception. My colours were very soft and pearlesque. I wore an ivory and soft blush underlay dress. My flower girls wore soft pearl ivory and my bridesmaids wore champagne pearl. The men wore navy suits to add depth to the overall look.

Tell us about your bridal look:

My dress was bought in Belladonna in Galway. I had the pleasure of having my dress selection with the lovely Tina. Tina was amazing and made me feel very comfortable. My designer was Kenneth Winston. My hair was done by the fabulous Louise Kearney from Bliss Bridal Hair. She was amazing and had a lot of suggestions on what would work best for me. My make up was done by Eilish Moran MUA. Eilish is such a lovely woman and made me look and feel amazing. On the morning of the wedding the ladies were such a pleasure and so much fun.

What did your bridesmaids wear?

My bridesmaids wore a soft pink pearl dress from Monsoon. They also had their hair and makeup done by the amazing girls.

What was your ceremony like?

I had a church ceremony in my local cathedral. I had the church decorated by an amazing company called Enchanted Wedding Company. I had a vision of how I wanted the church and they did not disappoint. People still comment on the decor all 7 months later. I also had the amazing Kayla MC Donagh sing at the church. Her voice is like something I have never heard before. She was truly amazing.

Tell us about your wedding venue:

My wedding venue was The Claregalway Hotel. From start to finish Nora was absolutely amazing. If I ever had a query or a question she was always at the other end of the phone no problem. Nora was so lovely and calm shot every detail. Even for my taster evening I got to bring two other people besides myself and my fiance and the food was amazing and we sat and had a lovely chat. Although the hotel is always very busy with weddings because of how amazing they are I can honestly say I always felt Nora and her team were there if I needed them and nothing seemed too crazy or too small to ask them. The room came fully furnished but I was allowed to add extra decorations like a flower wall and some cherry blossom trees with no problems. I can’t thank them enough for how amazing the day went without a hitch. It was also my daughter’s birthday and they had no problem bringing out a cake after our meal and got the whole reception guests to sing her happy birthday. A memory I’m sure she will never forget.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding day?

My favourite memory was when I got to the top of the aisle and got to hug and kiss my future husband. I was so overcome with emotion. I will never forget that feeling.

Have you got any advice for other couples?

Enjoy enjoy enjoy. Don’t sweat the small stuff and make sure you do things however you want. You only get to have the day once so do whatever makes you happy.
