Say hello to Jasmine and Wayne! This lovely couple tied the knot in a gorgeous outdoor wedding celebration and put the focus on organising a delicious meal and incredible entertainment for their guests. To bring it all together, they incorporated blush pink and blossom trees into their decor.
Couple: Jasmine & Wayne
Engagement length: 5 years
Wedding date: 2024-08-01
Wedding location: Mount Wolseley Hotel

Jasmine and Wayne met online, when Wayne poked her on Facebook. A few weeks later Jasmine spotted Wayne in a local club, so she walked up to him and poked him in person. Eleven years and three beautiful boys later, they tied the knot!
Jasmine says, “On Mother’s Day in March 2019, he had our first born son in a vest saying ‘mummy will you marry my daddy?’ at home whilst I was pregnant with our 2nd son.”
“It was a fairytale wedding day. It was the hottest day of the year and it was an outdoor wedding, the first in over a year and half on the premises. We had a blush pink colour scheme with elegant blossom tree table decor and outdoor decor to just give the most romantic feel to the day. Everything was perfect from start to finish.”
Wayne’s suit was a navy 3 piece suit with a silver waistcoat and ivory and blush pink rose, brown dress shoes.
Jasmine’s wedding dress was an ivory Morilee sweetheart neckline ballroom gown with a diamanté belt around the waist, with simple diamond necklace. Her earrings were her something old, a gift her mam had given her for her 21st. She wore platform heels with a diamond clip on accessory and her engagement ring.
The bouquet was a teardrop blush and ivory with two memory attachments of Jasmine’s grandad and granny, who sadly passed before the wedding.
The groomsmen wore navy 3 piece suits with brown shoes and blush pink flower.
The Bridesmaids had blush pink dresses with a diamanté belt, with a diamond necklace and earrings and a diamond hair piece for their hairstyles. All bridesmaids had a mini bouquet with the same flowers of the bride.
Flower Girls wore a blush pink dress with ivory shoes and socks and had a flower ring to carry and a flower headband.
Page boys had a blush pink waist coat, shirt and navy shorts and shoes on with sun glasses and signs to carry up the aisle. Their eldest son carried their rings up the aisle.
When talking about their ceremony, Jasmine says, “It was really emotional but beautiful. It was intimate and personal to us with a little bit of humour and included our songs which we loved. Our friends sang us up the aisle and sang the song ‘I get to love you by Ruelle’. We signed our register to ‘Bob Marley – Is this love’ sang by our friend. We exited our ceremony to ‘DNA’ by Billy Gillies.”
All the festivities were hosted at the beautiful Mount Wolseley Hotel.
“The venue was stunning and I had attended a day multiple years ago and always said I wanted to get married there. The room was set out stunning, and the meal was exceptional. We always say the food and music makes a wedding and the meal definitely didn’t disappoint.”
The wedding was beautifully captured by John Delaney.
“John was amazing from the booking to the moment we received our album. The morning of the wedding we didn’t even notice him in the room, he was so discreet getting all the beautiful shots of the dress and accessories. He was fantastic the whole day, he was efficient and was so professional. He got all the photos we wanted in seconds and didn’t delay with having them ready for us 4 days after our big day. We couldn’t praise John enough for his work. It honestly was an amazing experience with him. He was a great laugh too eased the nerves especially for Wayne.”
To entertain their guests, they had DJ Gary Sheehan, who had their guests up on their feet all night – the dance floor was never empty!
They had personalised love sweets as favours, which were eaten before dinner. They also organised a wedding newspaper with crosswords and information about themselves, including games for guests to enjoy between courses.
Jasmine shares her favourite memory from the day:
This is their advice to other couples planning a wedding:
“Don’t go overboard on spending for decor and extravagant things the guests don’t notice it, they really are there to enjoy the food and entertainment of the day.”
