A Simple Boho Wedding in Italy

How did you meet and get engaged?
We met in Sydney 2013 where we were both living at the time. We got engaged in August 2018 on top of the Sugarloaf Mountain in Co. Wicklow. It was a complete shock as it was the last thing Emma was expecting.

Describe your wedding:
We wanted to keep things simple and intimate, that’s why we decided Italy. Both of us have a love for the country.

Tell us about your bridal look:
I wanted a simple boho look and to wear something light and comfortable for the warm weather.
The dress was Grace loves Lace in London. When I tried it on I knew it would be perfect for the weather.
Hair and makeup was AnneMette (Wedding Hair and Makeup in Rome) could not recommend her enough. I didn’t know if I wanted my hair up or down so I let her decide what she wanted to do and it turned out perfect. I had a soft boho wave, with very natural makeup.

What did your bridesmaids wear?
Bridesmaids Dresses were from ASOS, light blue in colour to match the blue with the flowers. They were easy to wear and suited all the bridesmaids.

Tell us about your wedding venue:
We fell in love with Casale Doria Pamphilj the first time we visited. It was a rustic old farmhouse that was done up beautifully, had fabulous gardens for our ceremony and our dinner. The staff were so helpful and made planning our wedding easy.
