Sherelle and Mikey met 7 years ago at their local pub! They were each out with their group of friends and the got talking. The rest, as they say, is history.
“Mikey decided to propose at our son’s christening in September 2018 as all our friends and family were there so it was perfect and turned into a double celebration.”
Their wedding theme colours were black and white! Black is Sherelle’s favourite colour so she always knew it would be included in the theme.
Sherelle’s dress was from the Bridal Outlet in Baldoyle. She chose a beautiful Madison James dress in the colours ivory/champagne/nude and it was perfect. Her veil was a light ivory colour with scattered diamanté from Angelo Bridal in Dorset Street. Mikey wore a black 3 piece suit from Love Suits in Artane.
The bridesmaids wore stunning one shoulder black dresses from PLT Online and silver diamond shoes from New Look. The flower girls wore black and ivory dresses from SHDRCLOTH on Etsy and shoes from Shein. Their page boys and groomsmen also wore 3 piece black suits from Love Suits and shoes from Sports Direct.
They describe their wedding ceremony as perfect!
“Sandra Losty was our celebrant and I couldn’t recommend her enough. We knew we didn’t want it to be too long as our kids would get bored and she made sure of that and presented the whole thing so well. We both wrote our own vows and everybody commented on how well they went together.”
Their photographer was the amazing Peter Bell.
“From the moment himself and his wife Isabella arrived, we hardly knew they were there. Always in the background getting the most perfect shots and also helping Mikey calm his nerves and helping with my stepson’s tie as again he was so nervous and shaky. We had some pictures back within 3 days! Peter and Isabella are 2 of the most nicest people you will ever speak to and so professional if you’re thinking of booking them don’t hesitate you won’t be disappointed!”
“For favours we had shots put out at each of our guests seats. We hired a selfie mirror from Acorn Party Hire which was a big hit with all our guests and came as a package deal with a beautiful love heart arch.”
Sherelle’s favourite memory from her Big Day is walking down the aisle with her dad and seeing Mikey standing there, waiting for her.
“As soon as I got to him all my nerves went right out the window. His favourite memory is seeing me for the first time in my wedding dress.”
Newlyweds give brilliant advice! Here’s what Sherelle and Mikey have to share with other couples planning their wedding:
“Don’t worry or stress about the little things. More than likely things will go wrong and it just won’t matter on the day. Take time for yourselves after your ceremony if you can and just enjoy the day as much as you can. It really does go by so fast so take it all in and enjoy what you’ve both worked hard for.”
