How did you meet and get engaged?

We met in the famous Langtons of Kilkenny and got engaged at the top of the castle in Budapest.

Describe your wedding:

We loved the idea of something different and that’s what Mountain View provides. We really wanted a summer wedding and choose Mountain View as it has spectacular views and is a stunning venue. I love eucalyptus and white roses so they were central in the flower theme and bridesmaids were a blush colour.

Tell us about your bridal look:

I always knew I wanted to wear a cape and not a veil and got this designed by Ailva Bridal based in Dublin. I brought my dress to her and she designed it to suit the dress. My dress was bought in My Dress in Carrick on Suir Co Tipperary, I fell in love with the lace detail when I first set my eyes on it. My hair was a messy updo, Elaine Murphy Bridal Hair did a superb job on all the ladies that day. For makeup as the weather was so hot we wanted to look fresh and dewy and I loved my makeup. Makeup by Vaiva did my makeup.

What did your bridesmaids wear?

The ladies wore blush pink dresses bought online and they were really beautiful on them.

What was your ceremony like?

We got married in my local church in Knocktopher in Co. Kilkenny. It was fabulous with all our friends and family in attendance. It was a traditional ceremony.

Tell us about your wedding venue:

We knew we wanted something like Mountain View when we got engaged. I love Summer weddings and this venue is spectacular in the Summer. It is an exclusive venue for you and your guests so it felt like a really personal day for us. The food here is top class with the well known Marie Rafter being the head chef. The team at Mountain View went above and beyond for anything we asked for, it is an extremely personal wedding service. The marquee is beautiful when decorated and provided such a special ambiance, it took my breath away the day of the wedding when I saw it all come together. It is definitely one of the most stylish wedding venues around and provided us with an amazing day that we will remember forever. It had everything we wanted-a gin bar reception drinks outdoor area, games like giant Jenga and snakes and ladders for the kids, fantastic setting and views for our wedding photography, exclusivity, outstanding food, a great space for dancing and even a bridal room to freshen up and chill. It had everything we wanted from a venue.
