“Our wedding was vintage-inspired. We chose Firmount House as it was the perfect backdrop for our style, and the Adventure Catering Food Truck was great for photos and delicious!”

Louise and Michael met 3 years ago online. Last year while they were walking by the lake on holiday at Lake Como, Michael popped the question.

“Our wedding was vintage-inspired. We chose Firmount House as it was the perfect backdrop for our style, and the Adventure Catering Food Truck was great for photos and delicious!”

Louise extended the vintage-inspired feel of the wedding all the way into her bridal look. She opted for a gorgeous vintage upstyle!

Even the bridesmaids embraced the vintage-inspired look, with their vintage pink dresses.

“Our ceremony was intimate and personal with some light humour which helped with the nerves. We kept it lowkey with short stories about us as a couple. Our celebrant was great at adding personal details to make it feel more intimate.”

“Firmount House was perfect from start to finish. They were so accommodating with all our last minute unforeseen changes and made the day so special for us. The venue had 7 bedrooms for the bridal party which made it so easy to get ready. They did everything they could to help make the day run smoothly. Including putting the wedding cake together at the last minute!”

“We had our ceremony downstairs looking out to the Dublin Mountains, and the room was decorated beautifully with foliage and lanterns down the aisle. We had our dinner in the long drawing-room, with plenty of space for our family to mingle and Eilin had it decorated beautifully. The team cleared the ceremony room while we were taking pictures and it was ready for our DJ for the evening.  The venue went perfectly with our theme and we love all our pictures.”

One of Michael and Louise’s highlights from the day was when they took photos in the garden. They had a lot of fun doing this together! “Our day was so chilled and we were able to enjoy every moment.”

“Smaller was better for us. With the restrictions, we went ahead with 40 guests, and I can honestly say I got to chat and dance with everyone. It was perfect and we had time to dance and let our hair down for the night. I would definitely go ahead if you are nervous about the smaller numbers. I was worried the room and dancefloor might seem empty, but this definitely wasn’t the case!”
