How did you meet and get engaged?

We met in school 13 years ago and we got engaged 18 months ago in Lanzarote with our families present!

Describe your wedding:

We had a modern, elegant wedding with a vintage feel, inspired by Peaky Blinders.

Tell us about your bridal look:

My bridal look was an elegant look. My dress was ivory, A-line with a sweetheart shape neckline and a long train. I went with a vintage classy hairstyle, long with a wave, slicked back on one side with a clip headpiece. For my makeup, I chose a simple look with a focus on my eyes, soft glam, with a nude lip. Natural glow.

What did your bridesmaids wear?

My bridesmaids had a vintage look, straight dress with a bedded feel and side slit. The grey blue beaded details complimented the dress, which looked great next to the groomsmen’s navy & grey suits.

What was your ceremony like?

Our ceremony was fantastic. The most memorable moment was when I arrived we had a downpour of rain for 10 minutes which resulted in one of our favourite wedding photos. The church was beautiful, we had a flower arch coming into the church with white blossom trees down the aisle.

Tell us about your wedding venue:

Our venue was amazing, we could not speak more highly of the Clanard Court Hotel. From day 1 Emma and Claire, the events managers, were always in touch and always reachable. Goshia, our wedding coordinator, had our room looking spectacular. We tried to keep the look simple to have a classy/vintage look. We didn’t have seat covers and the chairs we felt looked so much better. The fairy light backdrop along with the light-up dance floor really complimented the room. Our lights had a purple hue to them which looked amazing with white flowers. The gardens adjacent to the ballroom were gorgeous and we were blessed with the weather that day. Everything on the day went perfect, again we can’t express how good all the staff of the Clanard Court were.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding day?

The moment I said  I DO.

Have you got any advice for other couples?

Don’t get too stressed out. If there was one thing we would both say, take every second in, because the day does fly by. We were given this advice and before we knew it the DJ had finished playing.
