“I always said to Nathan I wanted an intimate proposal. So on the 9th of October 2018, Nathan proposed in our bedroom filled with roses and candles.”

They had always wanted a winter wedding, because they love Christmas! So they tied the knot in December 2020 and everything was cream and gold.

Marguerite wore a bespoke Stella York dress with detachable sleeves, finished off with Jimmy Choo shoes. She bought it at Dublin Bridal House!

Nathan wore a bespoke Louis Copeland black tux suit.

The bridesmaids wore a two-piece top and trousers in cream. The Maid of Honour was heavily pregnant at the time, so she wore a plain cream dress that complemented the other girls. Nathan’s groomsmen wore black tux suits with shiny shoes.

“Due to the restrictions, we had 25 people in the church and it was amazing! It was intimate and so personal. We were lucky to have the rest of our family and friends outside the church to wish us well.”
“Our wedding venue was The Johnstown Estate. I knew from the moment I viewed it that it was the right place. We viewed four other venues beforehand. The wedding planner, Tamara, was amazing from start to finish, especially in the current climate.”
“Our photographer was Ian Hennessy. He was amazing through the whole process, giving advice and supporting us. It was really nice to have him in the house on the morning of the wedding because he was a nice calming source which was well needed.”

Marguerite’s favourite moment from the day was the moment she walked down the aisle. After all the uncertainty due to Covid, she was overcome with emotion by the relief that they finally made it.

“Just go with it, no matter what the situation or the circumstances because the only thing that matters is you two.”
