Aptly entitled ‘Romantic Collection’, the 2014 offering by the Made in England label ticks all the boxes when it comes to modern, timeless wedding style. Billowing box pleat skirts, beautifully boned bodices, and ultra elegant embellishments come together to form all that is good in ‘girly’.
And the best thing about these gowns? They suit literally any wedding style. Each dress was designed with the ability to go from day to night, conservative to informal with a simple, small change such as “swapping a flower velvet brooch belt for a sparkly starry night belt or alternatively, change a simple buckle belt for a ribbon art deco sash.”
Although some of these gowns could be described as ‘edgy’, a conservative feel is achieved with romantic overlays, pretty retro-style pouffed sleeves and elegant cover-ups, while embellishments such as floral appliqués, waist-cinching belts and crystal-encrusted corsets add to the overall glamour of the gown. Figure enhancing boned bodices work together with flattering necklines and sweeping pleats to create a collection that’s flirty and feminine, and always timeless and elegant.

Traditionally Elegant – Box pleated skirt made from metre upon metre of the finest crafted English cotton lace with hidden pockets. Beautifully boned bodice sculpted with an overlay of matching cotton lace. Finished at the waist with a square, lace buckle belt.
Structured Bohemian – Boned bodice with plunging neckline gives structure and support under the softest overlay. Shirt is gathered onto a soft pink satin chiffon waistband. All made from beautiful English cotton lace in dreamy colours of pink and buttery tones.
Pretty & Girlie – One circle skirt in silk dupion and organza, in a dreamy tone of sea pearl. Boned waisted bodice with sweetheart neckline. Overlay of the prettiest twinkling tulle, front high neckline and low swooping back with gathered puffed short sleeve. All with an added silver-grey satin sash, soft pink satin flower and velvet ribbon brooch.
Fun and Flirty – This waist hugging little number is made from the softest of tulle. Skirt gathered into waist, with the most romantic of soft organza flowers appliqued on the front. Boned bodice with high neckline overlay in soft tulle, finished at the waist with matching tulle sash tied into bow & tails.
Sleek and Stylish- Waisted boned bodice with dipped neckline. Sheer overlay that is stylishly gathered at the neckline with billowing full length sleeve and buttoned up cuff detail.
