We met… in UCC at a college ball in Rochestown.
Our proposal… was at the top of a snow-covered mountain in Arinsal (Andorra).
My look… My dress was by Paloma Blanca. I bought it in ‘Say I Do’ in Midleton. My hair was done by Jenna from The Salon in Ballincollig. My makeup was done by Andrea Murphy in Ballincollig.
His suit… was from Morleys, Cork.
What our bridal party wore… the bridesmaids wore dresses from Coast; Groomsmen and page boys wore suits from Morleys (including our 6 month old baby). The flower girls wore dresses from Debenhams.
Our ceremony… was in the bride’s family church – St Luke’s Church in Douglas, Cork.
We chose our photographer because… Rose Gowan Photography came highly recommended by a family friend and we liked her style of photography.
My favourite part of the wedding day… taking photos on the beach together in Garryvoe in the glorious sunshine.
We chose our venue because… Garryvoe Hotel is in a beautiful location; the Managing Director, Stephen Belton, was incredibly friendly and facilitating and all the staff went out of their way to make sure our day was perfect on the day.
My piece of advice for other couples… None of the small stuff that we stress and worry about going wrong is noticed by anyone else but us! Relax and enjoy the day as it all goes by at warp speed.
