A Gorgeous Vintage Glasson Wedding by Jason Nolan Wedding Films

Real Weddings

“We stayed at Glasson Country House Hotel the night before we got engaged and we said that if we were ever to get married that we would have it at that hotel.”

The couple: Ian Reddington & Amanda Keane
Length of engagement: 20 months | Wedding date: 8th April 2017
Wedding venue: Glasson Lakehouse, Westmeath
Videographer: Jason Nolan Wedding Films

We met… when I was 8 and Ian was 11. My uncle brought me down to Ian’s house to see their new dog as I wanted to get one. Ended up getting the sister pup of their dog. Roll on a few years and our paths crossed again when my friend brought Ian to our debs (as friends!!!), got chatting that night and met again a few weeks later and it all started from there.

Our proposal… He got down on one knee at Powerscourt waterfall.

Our wedding theme/colours… Vintage.

My dress… was from Enchanted Bridal, Sligo.

My hair and make-up… My friend Rebecca did my hair and Caroline O’ Neill did my make-up.

His suit… Fallon for Men, Tuam, Co. Galway.

What our bridal party wore… blush pink dresses from Sefton House Bridal, Limerick.

Our ceremony… was at St. Mary’s Church, Tuam, Co. Galway.

We chose our videographer because… I researched lots of videographers and when I came across Jason’s page (Jason Nolan Wedding Films), I loved his work and the idea of a shorter cinematic film. His work is amazing.

We chose our venue because… We stayed at Glasson Country House Hotel the night before we got engaged and we said that if we were ever to get married that we would have it at that hotel. We loved the scenery and the warm friendly welcome we received.

My favourite part of the wedding day… Couldn’t pick a favourite part, I loved every minute of it.

My piece of advice for other couples… Get a videographer. You miss out on so much on the day, all the little details so we couldn’t wait to get our video to look back on the day. Also take a few mins out, just the two of you at some stage, it’s amazing how little you get to talk to each other on the day!
