A Magnificent Inspiration Shoot at the Legendary Slane Castle

Planning & Advice
Prepare to be blown away by this incredible wedding shoot by a host of talented Irish wedding suppliers! The romantic 18th century Slane Castle in the Boyne Valley in Meath was the stunning setting, with its magical riverside scenery acting as the perfect backdrop for this heritage inspired shoot. The castle perfectly complements the Irish theme and design running throughout, showcasing a wealth of suppliers with everything from the invitations to the fragrances, all made right here in Ireland.
You’ll be well aware of the fact that the grounds of Slane Castle have been used to host rock concerts with everyone from U2, David Bowie, Madonna and The Rolling Stones performing here, but this stunning building that’s steeped in history and Irish mythology can also be rented for your Big Day. The shoot takes us on a tour of this legendary space from the uber cool Slane Whiskey Distillery where you can see the groom getting ready in his Louis Copeland attire alongside his furry friend to the ladies drawing room where the bride also dons wedding dresses by Irish designers Sarah Foy Couture and weddingdress.ie and accessories by Jules Bridal Jewellery, to the breathtaking grounds where photo ops are a plenty. You can see all the fabulous pics by Paul Kelly below and be sure to check out this amazing video by Richard Finlay of Bride & Groom Films too.
