A Romantic Real Wedding Video at Mount Juliet by YourShortFilm

Real Weddings

The Couple: Kate Macdonald and Martin Flanagan

Length of engagement: 2 Years | Wedding Date: 7th June 2014

Wedding location: Mount Juliet Estate

Videographer: Guy Robbins – yourshortfilm.com

We met… in Perth at a local bar.

Our proposal… Martin took me to a revolving restaurant with views of Perth city and proposed afterwards in an intimate garden setting.

Our wedding theme/colours… Our palette was Black and Ivory.

My dress… Was made by Galleria Couture in Mount Lawley, Perth.

My hair and make-up… Myself and my bridesmaids hair was done by Unique Hair Designs in Thurles and our make-up was by Yvonne Maher.

What our bridal party wore… The bridesmaids wore black Anna Campbell dresses and my maid of honour (my brother) and groomsmen wore black suits with ivory shirts. Martin’s suit was by Hugo Boss.

Our ceremony… was at Holycross Abbey, Co. Tipp – Martin’s local church.

We chose our videographer because… we recognised the quality of the work from yourshortfilm‘s website. We liked the originality and modern take on traditional wedding photos and videography.

We chose our venue because… we wanted to have a wedding of 60 people and Mount Juliet catered for this smaller size. Additionally, Lil Grant the Events Coordinator at Mount Juliet was excellent from the start. Planning an overseas wedding was a daunting task that she made easy.

Our menu… Our starter was Goats Cheese Salad, for the main there was a choice of Beef Fillet or Turbot and dessert was a Lemon Curd Tart.

My favourite part of the wedding day… was seeing our families get along so well and having a private moment with my new husband in the car from the church to the reception.

My piece of advice for other brides… Don’t stress the small stuff.
