Myself and Vincent met in a bar called Barcode. It was love at first sight.

Our proposal was very special for us as we were 5 years together. Vincent collected me after work on a Saturday. Didn’t tell me where we were going. He brought me down to a beautiful hotel in Tipperary. It was called the Minela Hotel. The scenery was absolutely stunning. I had no idea he was going to propose. Then he got on one knee. It was beautiful.

Our wedding theme was bright colours as we knew it was going to be the most magical and happiest days of our lives. So we wanted everything bright and a happy feel to it.

My wedding dress I had gone to 4 different shops and the 4th shop was the Bridal Boutique in Fairview. The girls were brilliant. I fell in love with the first one I tried on. It was perfect. Everything I wanted in a dress. I felt so beautiful in it.

Hair and Makeup I had a girl called Nicola Lee do my make up. She was amazing at what she done. And had everyone looking gorgeous. She also kept us all so calm the morning of the wedding. My sister is a hairdresser. She was also my Maid of Honor and wanted to do the hair. It was so special and important to me that my sister could do our hair. She did a great job.

Vincent went and got his suits in a shop in Drumcondra. I had no worry about Vincent picking out his suits as he has great taste. They wore a blue color and the lads looked dapper. The girls wore a pale pink dress as like I said, I wanted everyone in bright colours.

Our ceremony was Edenmore church. This was the favorite part of our day. It was so touching and perfect. The priest, Father Ronnie Dunne, made us so relaxed and made it so special for us. It was just beautiful.

We chose our wedding photographer because Barry had done our friends wedding and we knew he was going to do an amazing job and he sure did. Our photos are outstanding. He was so professional to deal with. I couldn’t be happier with our photos.

We chose our wedding planner Lorraine. She is the wedding planner for Castleknock and she was brilliant. Made sure we had everything covered. The venue was stunning on the day.

Our honeymoon where do I begin. It was definitely a holiday we will have with us forever. We went to the Maldives. It was the most romantic place I’ve ever been to. We had candlelight dinner on the beach with sunset going down, we had dinners in an undersea restaurant and most of all it was so relaxing. Just what we needed after a year of planning a wedding.

My favorite part of the day was the church. It was everything and more. We got to say “I do” to friends and family that mean so much to us. It was just beautiful.

My piece of advice to other couples: Don’t stress on the small things. It all falls into place and if anything does happen on the day, don’t worry. Only you will know and not your guests. And really look into getting a videographer. I got mine two weeks before the wedding. Best decision I ever made.
