A Victorian Escapade - A Downton Abbey Inspired Hen Party Experience

A Victorian Escapade - whether you see yourself as Downton Abbey's Lady Mary or even the Dowager Countess, or indeed Mr D'Arcy of Pemberley, can we invite you to a soirée for some rather select society? Spend an afternoon or evening in the stately surroundings of Clonard House, for you and a group of your most aristocratic friends. The eventincludes access to our full range of glorious costumes, eclectic activities of bygone times, with afernoon tea or dinner served by the butler and footman.Perfect for hen parties or even significant birthdays. Of course one never needs an excuse to party in such congenial company.Take a step back in time to bygone pleasures … a delightful mix of downstairs busyness and upstairs posh.When you arrive your group members are dressed as servants to do some of the household chores, perhaps prepare a dessert or outrun your fellow workers in a chamber pot race, The emphasis  is very much on fun rather than work!Your time downstairs will only serve to engender appreciation of life as a lady! We then retire to the dressing room and everyone changes attire to move up the social ladder before moving to the drawing room for some timeless parlour games, a traditional dance and of course a few photos for the society pages.We have costumes for everyone, both servants and gentry – and the dressing up alone is quite an event.The programme lasts for 2½ to 3 hours and costs € per person (including lunch or afternoon tea).If you choose to do an evening event the cost is € per person and includes dinner with your own private chef.There is a minimum group size of people, or a minimum charge of € if there are less than . There is no set time to start ... you decide, let us know and we will be all ready for you.Alcohol is not included, but you are welcome to bring a drop of your favourite tipple to have with the carefully prepared delicacies.
