How are ya, Fin Furey here 🎵
Firstly, a huge congratulations to you on your wedding for those soon to be newly weds reading this piece 🥂
I perform solo, as a duo and as a trio for Wedding Day receptions, ‘The Cocktail Hour’ receptions and ‘Day Two’ parties. We will have the place absolutely hoppin’ from the first note of the opening song until the final sweaty chord rings out on the last!
🙌
Solo Act
Looking for an intimate, upbeat vibe that gets everyone in the mood to relax, sing along, and dance? My solo performances are just the ticket! I can take it nice and easy—think "easy like Sunday mornings"—with soulful tunes that warm the heart. But don’t worry, I also kick things up a few notches with everything from popular covers to Irish ballads and traditional music to folk, blues, pop, rock, and even dance/pop hits ranging from Gerry Cinnamon to Ministry Of Sound classics from artists like Fatboy Slim that I work into medleys with songs like “Freed from Desire", that’ll have the whole party on their feet givin’ it SOCKS! 💃🏻 🎶 🕺
The Duo
If you’re after high energy, the duo option is perfect. I team up with either a violinist or banjo player to bring a lively mix that’s sure to fire up the party. We can also dial it back with an acoustic, medium-tempo set, ideal for a more intimate or relaxed vibe, like during a reception. But when it’s time to turn things up, we’ve got the gears to get everyone dancing and singing along. Our duo is a staple in Dublin’s late-night music scene, with regular gigs at spots like Devitts, Ryan’s Bar, The Temple Bar, 37 Dawson Street and Dohney & Nesbitts, among others.
The Trio
For a full, dynamic experience, the trio is where it’s at. With myself, a melody player, and a percussionist who’s a one-man rhythm machine (think cajon, hand drums, chimes, shakers, foot tambourines, and more), we create an atmosphere that lifts the entire room. Whether you want a slow to medium-paced instrumental set for mingling and conversation, featuring easy-listening favorites like "Stand By Me" and "Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay," or you’re ready to kick it into high gear for a wild, high-energy session that lasts for hours—we’ve got you covered.
And if you’re looking for a bit of both, we can start with some mellow tunes as everyone wraps up dinner, then gradually build the energy as the night naturally shifts toward getting people up dancing, and a mass sing along session of celebration making it a night to remember!

Below is a good read review from RTÉ Entertainment:
Following the success of recent single ‘Corners & Coins’ Dublin’s Fin Furey returns this summer with ‘Ruled By Chance’ an upbeat and lively folk song celebrating the spirit of taking risks and shaping one’s destiny. Set for release August 30, 2024, ‘Ruled By Chance’ urges listeners to seize opportunities and make the most of their time, encouraging self-belief and striving for a better life.
Joining the ranks of Irish artists like Damien Dempsey, Amble and Kingfishr Fin Furey’s mastery of blending traditional folk storytelling with the energetic pulse of Irish trad music, fused with rock instruments sees him creating a dynamic and invigorating sound.
Contemplating Life’s unpredictability, the opening with smooth vocals gradually builds to a powerful resonance. “Life’s a game ruled by chance. Walk the tightrope of hope. Keep playing these same games. See how they unfold.” Themes of struggle and resilience are explored addressing the challenges that shape our experiences. “To shatter one’s soul and begin to chip away. Then sell it piece by piece, aim to appease.” The bridge and chorus emphasise the song’s core message, urging listeners to take control of their destiny. “Take a chance or live wondering what could have been”. In the final verse, the narrative highlights the importance of perseverance and passion in achieving one’s dreams. “To fulfil high hopes and dreams means holding tightly dear obsession through both fail and glory”. The track slows for a moment of reflection before unleashing battle drums, intensifying the call to action. “Better risking chance than watch life pass by, roll the dice kid!”. ‘Ruled By Chance’ tackles fate and free will, capturing a cinematic intensity musically and vocally, making it an inspiring anthem for those daring to take risks in life.
Hailing from a deeply musical Irish family, Fin Furey captivates audiences with his blend of upbeat originals and high-energy Irish traditional music. Cutting his teeth on the underground late-night bar scene in Dublin each performance is a testament to Fin’s versatility and deep musical roots.
