Garvan Rigby - Wedding DJ

From the first meeting with Garvan we were so confident that he was the perfect DJ for our wedding; really nice guy and clearly knew his stuff. And we were so right- he had the dance floor packed all night long with a great mix of music to suit the different generations. We couldn't have been happier. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Garvan was absolutely amazing. From start to finish he has been so easy to deal with. We had a multinational wedding and he made sure to have plenty of songs from different countries so everyone felt at home and it worked beautifully. We got nothing but compliments on his work but best of all there was always someone on the dancefloor and we all had a great time. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding DJ. After covid all the great bands were taken so I said I'd try something different for our wedding. We hired Garvan from Star Djs to do music bingo and DJ afterwards. It was amazing! The set up was like an actual game show. All our guests loved it and Garvan is a great showman , he got all the crowd buzzing. Can't recommend enough.

Garvan at star DJs was incredible not only at the wedding but also throughout the entire process. He thought about things that we never would have which really helped with the flow of events. We were uncertain on a few different logistical things and he was more than accommodating in helping us through them. We have received countless praise from our guests on the music during the day. We had a great experience from start to finish with Garvan from Star DJs. He was so easy to deal with leading up to the big day. We had a phone and he also met us over zoom to discuss music taste and what kind of songs we wanted played. And most importantly he was absolutely brilliant on the night and the dance floor was packed all night long! We had great feedback from our guests who said they loved the music! Star DJs were recommended to us by a friend for our wedding. We didn't have a band so the DJ was very important for us. We couldn't have been happier with the service provided, we danced all night! Used Star djs for a surprise party after my sons wedding in clontarf castle. Garvan was very prompt and helpful with my queries and found me a dj called Darragh. Darragh was very good on the night and read the crowd really well. Would highly reccomend both Darragh and Star DJs.

Garvan did our music. We met him a few times before the hug day and discussed our music choices. He has such an amazing knowledge and really knows what works. We had the most amazing time! I don't think ourselves or our guests danced as much as they did at our wedding and that is solely down to the music. We can't thank him enough for really meking the night for us.

We chose Star DJ's (after a google search for DJ's) for our wedding in August 2018. They were a delight to deal with and we requested DJ Garvan based on his profile. I can sincerely say he was fantastic. He was absolutely excellent, experienced, professional and genuinely very nice. We had a small wedding (approx. 50). He said he would generally read the crowd on the night , which he did to perfection,
and had most people on their feet for the evening.

We had Garvan Rigby as DJ at our wedding. We did not feel the need for a band and having met a Star DJ representative, we knew we had the right choice. We met with Garvan before the wedding, he discussed with us various options, and also asked about what kind of wedding it was and the age group. He 100% rocked. We had asked for 80's and 90's music and that's what we got. The dance floor was hopping all night, and we had nothing but compliments about the music. I would recommend Star DJ's for any wedding or party.

Garvan was so professional, everything went perfect. Everyone at our wedding was on the dance floor and having a great time. He did an amazing job start to finish.

We found Star DJs very easy to work with from Australia - tailored to our needs and we got to chat to our specific DJ for the night who definitely listened to us and had everyone on the floor all night. People were still asking us who our DJ was a week later. Would recommend!

I just wanted to leave a bit of feedback for the DJs at our wedding this Saturday just gone.

First of all, everything to do with the hiring and arranging of our booking was smooth and reassuring. When you're planning a wedding, that's a huge weight off your mind. We heard about Star DJs from a friend. It's often said that word of mouth recommendations are the best recommendations, and this is definitely the case. We'll certainly be recommending star DJs to all of our friends and family who are yet to get married.

Neither of us could have been happier with Mark, our DJ. Mark listened to all of our demands and made some excellent suggestions that really got the crowd up and dancing. This was particularly helpful with older members of the crowd. We had some issues on the day with baby sitters, which meant that the mother of the groom was not present when the first dance was supposed to happen. Mark made sure that we waited until she was present to have the first dance, he kept the crowd informed and appraised at all times.

Mark went out of his way to keep both of us happy, even coming off the dancefloor to seek out the bride for one of her favourite songs. The feedback we received from our guests was fantastic. Most people complained about having sore legs, but only because they could not stop dancing. One of our guests said that he danced more at our wedding than he did at his own!

We were there until the bitter end, we would have remained dancing even longer if not for the venue's music curfew! The music was simply fantastic.

We were delighted with the service Star DJs provided and have absolutely no qualms about recommending them to anyone.

We got the platinum package for our wedding in Tipperary, this included 8 hours of music which started at dinner right through until 2am, we also added the option of a saxophone player later in the evening. All the music was super, Mark was great, he started out with blues, jazz and soul and then uped the tempo after dinner when everyone was ready to hit the dance floor. There was a great variety from 80's to current and everyone loved the music, and also the sax! It was a nice little extra.

They always tell you that the DJ you choose can either make or break your reception. I did not really believe this, but I took the advice of my friends and did my research. I hired Star DJ's because of the great reviews and the reputation. Think about it! If you hire a one man show type company, you can't control if that person will get sick and not be able to show and then you are stuck with someone playing an I-pod all night at the wedding! Lame!!!I knew Star DJs would not let us down. I still wasn't sure what I was getting until we had our first phone conversation with Garvan, our DJ that would be doing our wedding. He was very attentive when we told him we didn't want the cheesy music and line dances. He gave us such great suggestions and by the end of picking out some of our favorite songs I felt 100% confident he understood us. It was at the point where I didn't even feel I needed a do not play list because he understood what we liked! The night of the wedding was perfect. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing and even helped us out when we had a payment mixup with our LIMO driver! I can't tell you how amazing this company is! Believe me I waited a VERY long time to get married because I wanted to make sure I was marrying the love of my life, which I did. Someone who took getting married as seriously as I did, would make sure to do the research on what DJ to hire. If your research leads you somewhere other than Star DJs then you need to think twice. Make this your easiest wedding choice. Hire Star DJs! You will not regret it! Thank you Garvan and Owen!

Great DJs, really professional

Had a great experience.

We booked Star DJs for our wedding. Colin was the DJ assigned to our reception. In advance of the wedding, he discussed what we were hoping to get from the music on the night. Colin's input was very helpful and allowed us focus on the songs which were important to us and important to some of our guests.

On the night Colin said hello and then dealt directly with the hotel's banqueting manager on setting up his equipment etc. This was great as we were busy with other aspects of the day. Colin was great and announced our entry to the reception and the speeches etc.

The background music during the meal was perfect and in line with our tastes. The after dinner music was even better and Colin catered for everyone's tastes and took requests from guests which made it much easier to get people up on the dance floor. If I had to rate the DJ experience I'd give it 10/10 and I'd like to thank Colin for helping make it a great night.

Communication in the run up to the event was great, with fast response.

Owen on the night was fantastic. Set up seamlessly, we barely noticed him sneaking in! Music was second to none and Owen himself was extremely courteous and polite.

Will definitely use you again and recommend you to others!

The StarDJ service was first class right from my initial email contact, through to meeting with Garv to plan the playlist. The straight forward, no nonsense approach was appreciated especially as we were planning an Irish wedding based in the UK.

I'd like to think we had suggested some decent tunes but the way that Garv put them together ensured that the dance floor was rammed all night. Comments like " the music was just BRILL-I-ANT" and " I just danced the legs off me" from our guests tells us that everyone had a fantastic night.

We would not hesitate to recommend. In fact we already have!

We used Star DJ's at our wedding in Kilshane House in May 2007. Darragh Roberts was our DJ. I cannot praise him enough. We were terrified of getting some of the cheesy wedding DJ's that I've seen at lots of weddings and I was dreading it. Darragh was a professional from start to finish and most of the songs were chosen by my wife and I, with his help. We had regular correspondance before the wedding and were able to ban some of the nightmare wedding songs we hate. All of my friends commented that they have never danced so much at a wedding. The dance floor was permanently full from the moment he started - that's unusual in my experience. If you care about having good music and a really professional outfit, then I strongly recommend Star DJ's.
