This man is an absolute photography genius! Not only have I never seen work like it in my life his work is so different and quirky and he loves to try random and stylish poses that will ensure an incredibly unique wedding album!

From the minute jay arrived at my house on the morning of the wedding he was so relaxed and chilled out which made it so much easier for me to relax and rnjoy. Not only did Jay enjoy the fun he also added so much to the fun! You didn't know that he was snapping away in the background which meant he was really unintrusive and ensured loads of fun and naturAl snaps of the children and guests at the wedding!

I have viewed many photographer portfolios and I can safely say that none compares to the classiness, detail, fun and spectacular photos of this man! An absolute pleasure to work with and I would strongly recommend all brides to get this man booked for your big day....he is truly fantastic!!!

I was a model for Jay at a photography workshop in Donegal. He made myself and my boyfriend(the other model) so comfortable! And we had only met him a few days before. He had loads of exciting ideas and was full of energy! I loved the photographs he took of us so much that I have been recommending him to my friends who are getting married.

Jay's background and subtle presence captured the perfect natural shots throughout the day. Nothing was too much trouble and his lack of unnecessary fuss made the bridal party & guests feel at ease, while also having a laugh with everyone! He is a super talented photographer who manages to capture real life, intimate moments from your special day to look back on for a lifetime. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

I was a guest at our friend's wedding last New Year's Eve and my partner was one of the groomsmen. He said that Jay was fun and exciting to work with, not doing the usual wedding poses that everyone has. I have since seen the wedding album and was blown away by the amazing photos that were captured on the wedding day. Photos captured of wedding guests were non intrusive and natural and photos of the bride and groom were outstanding. I would highly recommend Jay Doherty as a wedding day photographer.

This guy was amazing. He seemed nearly as excited about the wedding as we were and it came across in the photos. We couldn't have got better and would recommend him a million times over.

We found photos of Jay's work online and while he was relatively unknown at this time we knew his style of photography was what we were looking for. We met with jay and from the first hello we were instantly put at ease. We chatted for a long time about our likes & lives but at no stage felt under pressure to make a booking, which settled our mind 100% to book jay there & then! We met with him prior to the day and again he was a pleasure to deal with, very relaxed but professional, exactly what you want in a photographer. On the morning of the wedding I was late home from the hairdressers but jay was relaxed and text to put my mind at ease not to be worrying or rushing. Having had 2 daughters married before my dad agreed jay was a pleasure to welcome and have a chat with before we came home. While we were a few minutes behind schedule he remained unfazed and kept us relaxed throughout. My 8 year old nephew wanted to take some pics for his mum (my bridesmaid) during the mass and rather than seeing this as a nuisance jay kept him close to his side throughout allowing him to imitate every shot he was taking. After the mass we had such great craic, jay kept all the bridal party entertained as well as getting amazing photos including persuading me to get a piggy back across the street & stopping traffic & candyfloss! Not only did we have a great day with jay but to top it off he text us the next morning to thank us for allowing him to be part of our day, a small token but meant so much to both of us. His after service was first class and we had our album very quickly. Also, jay had taken some old style Polaroid photos on the day. We had both forgotten about these and while jay knew the hotel I worked I had since moved job. Instead of throwing these out he kept onto them and 8 months after he remembered one day where my husband worked and popped into the office to pass them on, definitely going above & beyond!! Having worked in the wedding industry for 7 years and worked with several other photographers I cannot highly recommend jay enough! Don't let his chilled out and relaxed approach fool you, jay is the ultimate professional with amazing photography to match!

We had Jay as our wedding photographer a few years back. From the first day we met him prior to the wedding we felt very comfortable and at ease with him.
Jay has a very unique calming yet energetic personality, which on the wedding day itself are great balance for your photogralpher to have.
Our wedding was a very wet June day, and like any bride I was worried about getting outdoor photos, but we were in safe hands. Jay came armed with umbrellas and managed to find sheltered spots beneath trees and in out houses and like only be can do, find beauty in the most unlikely places. Needless to say our photographs were amazing.
Jay has went on to do my sisters wedding and many friends since, and it's always a pleasure to see and catch up with him. I would highly recommend Jay to any bride planning her wedding.
