Nick Cavanagh Photography is located
in the centre of Kenmare, Co Kerry. Our
studio is open 6 days a week and we are always delighted for you to come in and chat to examine our work. You’ll notice simplicity in our images;
we work with natural light and combined with our medium format cameras we
constantly deliver the highest standards in wedding photography.
Kenmare is widely regarded as the primary wedding location in Ireland and we do work closely with all the local hotels to provide a world class service. Our work is tailored to fit in with your day
and your plans. We don’t have a time limit fee for your day, you tell us when
to start and when to end. Simple! Many of our clients visit
Kenmare come from far afield just to celebrate their day. Our local knowledge of Kenmare is reassuring
and we love to welcome clients from across Europe. For clients interested in our wedding album range. We have a close relationship with Graphistudio, the worlds leading wedding album company. Our albums are prepared by hand by them.
All our wedding packages include a complimentary pre-wedding shoot at a time to suit us all. Nick is qualified with both the IPPA and BIPP. He was shortlisted in the Top
Irish Portrait Photographers of and chosen to represent the UK in the
photography World Cup in .

Nick was fantastic from start to finish. He is clearly passionate about photography and added to that, his incredible efficiency and cooperation was truly something else. Nick made himself available whenever we were in the area to meet up. He even attended the rehearsal the night before and took photos which really ultimately made for a lovely overall scene. He is a pleasure to deal with and we simply couldn't be happier with the photographs. I would recommend Nick Cavanagh to everyone!

Nick was fantastic. My husband and I could not recommend him highly enough. I know most people don't like having their photo taken. I as the 'bride' was especially nervous about this and he couldn't have made me feel more comfortable in front of the camera. He really listened to what we had to say before the wedding, he spoke to me on skype as I was organising the celebration from away. The photography element had not been that important to me, or at the beginning I didn't think it was that important to me and I realised it was very important when I saw how special his work is. I didn't want a ton of our day going towards taking photos no one but us would ever look at. His style was relaxed but at the same time he got the job done. He was there for so many hours snapping our family and friends. The results were wonderful, he was also the fastest person to work and thad hem ready in record time I believe, which was just days after our celebration. When he showed me the photos, I cried with happiness, I couldn't believe he had captured moments that had been a blur or I didn't remember because the day went so fast, they are so special. The whole wedding business is very emotional and he was a beacon of calm around our wedding celebrations.

Nick was so helpful in the run-up to our wedding day. He was available if we needed to discuss ideas with him and we felt totally at ease with him being in charge of our very important photographs. He gave us loads of helpful advice and was happy to accommodate some of our peculiar requests. He is very personable and easy to get along with - this was very important for us as we were a little anxious about being photographed and wanted both ourselves and our guests to be at ease. And we all were. Nick contacted all relevant parties to ensure permissions and arrangements were in place in the lead up to the day and the images he captured on the day are just beautiful. We are delighted by how they turned out - he definitely exceeded all expectations!

I came across Nick's website whilst searching for local Kenmare photographers. I am so glad I did. As soon as we met Nick, we were sold. He took a very relaxed approach, had a beautiful portfolio and put absolutely no pressure on us.... very suited to our own laid back approach. Nick was clearly very passionate about his work. As we met in Manchester, we took the fact that he was a Mancunian as a sign!
Nick had a lot on his plate the day of my wedding....a hectic house full of camera shy people, a VERY rainy day and a bride and groom who didn't love being snapped!
Some of my best memories of my wedding day involve having a laugh with my new husband and Nick the photographer! We even managed to get outside and Nick captured a brilliant image in the 20 second timeframe I was willing to stand out for.
Nick didn't take a break all day, I was actually disappointed when he eventually left as he was such a big part of the day!
I absolutely love my wedding pictures and the very thoughtful way in which Nick put them together (you make my dreams come true....)
I would absolutely recommend Nick as he is a wonderful photographer, a very lovely person and great craic for a English man ;-)

Sometimes it rains on a wedding day and there is no point worrying about it, even if it pours it should never affect your celebration.
You were both great to work with and I do love the images we created that day!
I'd have loved to stay longer but there was no way I could have matched the moves being made on that dance floor!

We first contacted Nick because we'd seen his images which seemed natural and relaxed. We were able to meet him twice beforehand and were both impressed with his friendly manner. He even recommended another photographer so we could make an informed choice. On our actual day he was professional and totally relaxed with our guests. The photographs were just great, exactly the style we had in mind and I'm not someone who would normally feel at ease in front of the camera. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any couple.

Nick covered our wedding in may of last year. I wanted natural photographs encapturing the true feeling of our day. Our brief was totally followed and the images he captured let us relive the moments of our day in true form. We were married in our grounds at home and we have some classic shots of our surroundings too. Nick was friendly, flexible and made us totally feel at ease on our special day. We would whole heartedly recommend him.

From the moment we met on one of Nicks superb wedding photography information evenings, he has gone above and beyond our expectations of how we imagined our photographer would be.
