Padraic Collins - Harp/Vocals/Guitar/Piano
Padraic is a multi-instrumentalist and professional musician based in the West of Ireland, situated between Markree Castle and Castle Dargan. Padraic creates a bespoke musical experience for your wedding day and is always excited to learn new and interesting repertoire. Padraic specialises in folk and Irish traditional music, but has vast experience performing indie, pop and rock music, and has performed a number of R&B pieces at weddings on the harp. There is no piece Padraic isn't willing to consider for your day, and as an accomplished harpist, singer, guitarist and pianist, there is a diverse range of sounds you can choose from. Padraic has a wide range of repertoire which you can also choose from if you would prefer.
Packages Include:
- Pre Ceremony and Ceremony Music - Music chosen by you as guests arrive to the venue, and as many pieces as are required for the ceremony.
- Drinks Reception Music - Music from when ceremony finishes to dinner bell.
- Day 2 packages - Irish folk and Pop songs with Irish traditional accompaniment. Padraic has a range of talented instrumentalists to choose from and can offer this as a duo or trio package.
Padraic's Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor of Music Degree (1st Class Honours) NUI Maynooth
- Masters in Irish Traditional Music Performance (1st Class Honours) University of Limerick
- Many years of experience professional musician in Ireland, performong at Electric Picnic and TedX, as well as a touring musician performing for crowds of up to 4,000 people as a singer and guitarist.
- Various Fleadh titles from Mayo, Connacht and all Ireland level, with an All Ireland gold in accompaniment.
- Resident Harpist at Bunratty Castle for many years.

They were both very accommodating straightforward to deal with, in the run up to the big day.
We asked him to play the most beautiful traditional pieces for harp at the ceremony and so many people commented afterwards how lovely, they were from Carolan to older tunes still. After that we asked Padraic to play what he liked from our traditional heritage... He played solidly for hours and everyone was delighted. He is dedicated to his instrument and has insight into the whole history behind the instrument as well as decades of musical training and skill. I cannot think of a better accompaniment to a wedding service or reception afterwards. He went above and beyond and we were so delighted with him.
