The Big Band Theory

We could not recommend The Big Band Theory enough! They were absolutely amazing to deal with from start to finish. We are both living abroad so we decided to take the option of hiring the band for the full day. Stephen and Irene were fantastic to deal with and any questions were answered straight away. I wanted a song that has sentimental value to me as I walked up the aisle and Irene made the most beautiful job of it. I really appreciated that she learnt the song especially and sang it perfectly, she has the most beautiful voice. The rest of the ceremony music was just wonderful.
The wonderful music continued at our venue and the dancefloor was full all night. The energy the band have is just brilliant and Irene was out on the dancefloor with us making sure everyone got involved. Our guests of all ages were full of praise for the band with one guest saying "they were the best band he had ever seen at a wedding!" The DJ went on until the early hours and kept the party going with a mix of songs I had given, requests from the guests as well as current and past chart hits. I highly recommend hiring the band for the full day, they just organised everything to perfection and made us feel so relaxed. Thank you so much to The Big Band Theory for making our special day so amazing.

The band were amazing! Due to COVID we had to reschedule 3 times and they took it in the stride every single time. Irene and the band were so understanding and helpful it made postponing a little bit easier.
They were amazing too. Irene has the most beautiful voice and really knows how to get a party started. I danced all night from start to finish afraid to sit down incase I missed a song. The band created such a fun atmosphere and had an amazing play list.
We couldn't recommend them enough!

The Big Band Theory were awesome! We had them as our wedding band and they were totally brilliant we had to leave our review before our honeymoon so people can read how great they are. I was worried prior to the night that we may not be able to fill the dance floor (quite a few elderly guests and only a smallish wedding) No need to worry. Their ability to tune into their audience meant the dance floor was full at all times. Irene and Stephen were very approachable and lovely to chat to, they listened carefully to our requests and helped us organise the evening how we wanted. Thanks for a great night and everyone is still raving about ye!

We had the pleasure of The Big Band Theory as our wedding band on the 16th of August 2019. From the get go they?ve been so professional and easy to deal with. On the day they came and introduced themselves and made us feel at ease. The songs were fantastic and full of fun. We loved their style and energy. The guests all loved them and some of the suppliers were asking their name as they?d never seen such a good act. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding band. Absolutely awesome. Thanks for making our day even better!

The Big Band Theory are incredible! My husband and I both have different tastes in music but add our globetrotting guests into the mix and it was really the whole spectrum. Irene and the lads read the crowd beautifully and all our guests kept coming up to us after the wedding to sing their praises (even the music snobs amongst them gave their enthusiastic stamp of approval). We knew we wanted them to perform at our wedding right from the start, we only had to play one of their sample videos and we were 120% sure we would/could shuffle our wedding budget around to accommodate this band. We were also blown away by Irene and Stephens efficiency with all correspondence. We got an email reply and a list of answers from Stephen literally an hour after we hit send on the website form (this was at 1 am do they sleep??). The comprehensive but straightforward documents and suggested songs for each part of the ceremony (and their reassurance that they could read the crowd for us for the reception) was also extremely helpful and professional, and we loved the personal touch they lent to the wedding itself. Their music was beautiful for the ceremony, full of energy for the reception in the evening and for those of us in the ?I hate dancing? camp, the full dance floor and empty seats told us otherwise! We definitely recommend The Big Band Theory without reservation they go above and beyond. Forgot to mention that our wedding was abroad and the meticulous detail that Irene and Stephen put into logistics and planning it was super professional, you can't beat experience and The Big Band Theory have it in abundance!!

Let me start by saying, our wedding was actually P E R F E C T. And let me then say, The Big Band Theory was a HUGE part in why it was so perfect. They crushed it. From our initial conversation, to the closing of the night, and every little detail in between, every thing was so well managed. They listened to our random requests and answered every question, they helped us work through tricky situations with power sources and other technical problems, and they did everything with patience and kindness. All of those were just bonuses because their performance was so spectacular!! Literally a perfect score. They took the songs we requested, added in their own after reading the crowd, and literally kept the party alive the entire evening. Every generation of guests got on the dance floor. The little kids, all the way to the grand parents. EVERYONE DANCED! And had SO MUCH FUN. Thank you to The Big Band Theory for making our wedding a night we will never forget.

What can we say about the band they gave us an amazing night of music and people kept saying where did we find the band and how great the song choices were. Our first dance was live and they did a fantastic job and we were delighted when they said they could perform it live for us and not use the track even if we did leave it a bit late for them to learn it.Irene and Stephen were so professional and easy going and once we met them we knew we were in safe hands, they couldn't have done anymore for us and Irene is an amazing singer and the lads in the band are brilliant musicians.

Amazing! We booked The Big Band Theory for our wedding last year and what can we say? Absolutely fantastic. The energy they brought to our day was brilliant. From the first meeting we had with Irene and Stephen, to the last song the DJ played on the night, the service and attention to detail was brilliant. Everyone was up dancing from the first song and the floor was full all night, our guests were going mad for more! We had Irene sing at our ceremony as well and it was magical.
