Why I do it&#;I believe that a band should play dance music to suit not just some of your guests but ALL of your guests.&#;I believe that it is a true honour for a band to be chosen to play at your special event and be apart of your occasion.&#;I believe in a quality of service and delivery that puts your mind at complete ease and guarantees a great nights entertainment for your guests.&#;How I do it&#;The Decades is a Dance Band. The mission of &#;The Decades&#; Dance Band is to make you and your guests feel like dancing all night long, playing classic songs from every decade with male and female vocalists, trumpet and saxophones, guitar and keyboards and a great sound and light show.&#;What I do&#;Mixed into this great mix of music &#;The Decades&#; also play some classic Irish Country music, beautiful old time waltzes, swinging jazz and great classic all-time love songs. The Decades Dance Band invites you to join in, sing-along, dance and have fun on a wonderfully bright and colourful, fun packed journey through some of the greatest music from the last six decades.&#;I also provide drinks reception music if required. I can play 2 hours of easy listening background music on keyboard, clarinet and saxophone. The music played can include some smooth jazz, classic love songs, beautiful Irish ballads or any requests that you may have.&#;I also organise a DJ if required, who will work with The Decades Dance Band at providing suitable music for your guests at any stage you want during your event.

?Vinny and his band played at our wedding and we couldn?t recommend them highly enough! From the time we heard them in the Seven Oaks, it was a case of book them and then don?t worry anymore about the music. A lot of people commented on the sax playing for the pre-dinner drinks ? made for a lovely atmosphere without being intruding or loud and just added that perfect touch to the reception area ? several people commented on how nice it was to be greeted by music when walking into the hotel and then asked what happened to the lovely music when he went on his break!
The band were very good on the night, both male and female singers and their interaction with the crowd was brilliant! We had an added request that we have our first song outside, and all we had to do was give them the name of the songs and it was done! They had the song learned off ? nothing is too much trouble for them and Vinny is always quick to reply to any queries. Everyone was up dancing (some people never sat down!!) Everyone was asking where we found the band as they were VERY impressed with them and said that it made the evening just perfect. We got the video back and the dance floor is never empty ? we even saw people up dancing who NEVER dance! Extremely good value for money too ? I think they have underpriced themselves!?

?My sister got married on NYE 2011 she booked the Decades, absolutely brill ? the floor was full all night. Vinny and his crew learned the song they wanted for their first dance, he even played the drinks reception music for free! Vinny played sax and keyboard during the drinks reception, absolutely fab band and priced very reasonable ? give them a bell couldn?t recommend them highly enough! ?Myself and Elizabeth would like to thank you and the Band for making our special day even more Special. We and our guests just loved all the music that the band played. Many of our family members did comment that they were never at a wedding with so many people up dancing constantly. The songs suited everyone?s taste and allowed them to Dance the night away. We also loved that you could play a couple of Christmas songs to match the theme of our wedding. We thought that the music at the drinks reception was fantastic and really brought a luxurious ambience feel to the room. We would highly recommend the Decades Dance Band to anyone who would be thinking of using them for their special day. We would personally like to thank you Vinny for all your help with all the consultation and helping putting our mind at rest while we concentrated on other preparations for the wedding. I wish you all the success in the future and please be reassured that I will be recommending you to anyone looking for a wedding band..Who knows in 10 years time we might have a little 10 year anniversary party and get you guys back for that aswell?LOL. Just a few lines to thank The Decades for playing at our wedding in the Shearaton Hotel in Athlone. We were very grateful to The Decades for helping to make our wedding day extra special. The evening started brilliantly with a specially prepared version of ?Kentish Town Waltz?. From then on everyone danced the night away till the early hours. And finally a big thank you to Vinny for being so helpful and accomodating while preparing for our wedding. Indeed such was the confidence that Vinny instilled in me as soon as i meet him that i knew the night would be complete success

Hi Vinny?just about recovered now though the knees are still complaning about all the dancing!!!! Gerry and I had a brilliant night and certainly one to remember for all sorts of reasons. The band were brilliant and everyone certainly enjoyed the music? I have had a lot of my guests asking me where did I find you and as I said I would have no hesitation in recommending you for any function. You certainly have the knack of being able to read the crowd and had them all up hopping about and enjoying the night. Thanks to you and all the team for making my night a very special memory.

Hello Vinny Just back from a lovely honeymoon! We were truly delighted with yourself and the band and would be happy to recommend you far and wide. In fact you were so good the poor DJ had a tough time trying to keep the crowd dancing when you finished ? they were all danced out! Vinny you and The Decades did a fantastic job at our wedding. You have a very rich live sound with 2 great vocalists and music to suit all tastes. Our only problem was that the dance floor was too small, as the whole crowd was up dancing! Our guests just loved you too. The pre-dinner music provided by yourself Vinny was wonderful too ? it added a real touch of class to our drinks reception. The Decades Dance Band provided the drinks reception and post meal musical entertainment for our wedding at Dromoland Castle on December 30th, 2010. From the outset they were professional and a pleasure to deal with. Their music was great, they read the crowd well and had even the most reticent of guests on their feet ! Having both female and male vocalists is a real bonus as is their broad repertoire. They are a talented bunch and obviously enjoy what they do. No hesitation in recommending them.

From the start to the finish they had a repertoire that suited everybody full of life, fun and happiness for all. I went to a showcase for the Decades Dance Band last Monday night in Naas (they are one of the WOL suppliers) and I have to say they were fantastic. Every song they sang made me want to jump up and dance. I booked them for my wedding this July and lucky enough for me they were available. If any of you are looking for a band, I would definitely recommend going to see them. If you read this Vinny......thanks for last Monday, we really enjoyed it..........roll on July! I have to say, the Decades band are FANTASTIC. We went to see them at a showcase recently (for my sister) and they were brilliant. We've seen other bands perform and they are by far the best. Only fairly new on the scene AFAIK but brilliant. There's great banter between them when they're on stage and their play list is huge. I'd recommend them to anyone and everyone.
