We got married on the 12th of august 2022 in the claregalway hotel. Nora could not do enough for us she made us feel so relaxed on the day. She played a big part in our day and we are truly grateful. The hotel was the first one we visited and we both fell in love with it because of nora she was always there on the phone or email whenever we needed her. The staff on the day were excellent the food was out of this world and the room decor was next to none. If you are getting married visit the claregalway hotel you will not be disappointed.

I would highly recommend this hotel for a wedding five stars in my eyes. You are in great hands if you choose them. I am still overwhelmed how brilliant they all are and especially Nora. A day I'll never forget.

The Claregalway Hotel was outstanding from the first day we were there back in 2020 booking the venue, all the changing with dates to when we left the hotel after the wedding.
Nora Gill was amazing. There was never a problem for her to do anything. Attention to detail, professional and outstanding leading the team on the day.
The food and service was superb, plenty of it came out on platters after the meal served and no one was hungry after. Nora made sure of that.. The staff were friendly and attentive.
Nora was there with us from first viewing till residents bar that night, always overseeing and ensuring everyone was happy. Nora Gill in our eyes is the top wedding coordinator and I've worked in hotels and as wedding coordinator in top hotels

On behalf our myself an Daniel we would like to thank you all for making our wedding day so memorable,
January 1st 2018 we met nora an booked our wedding, we had not looked at any other venue as we had attended 5 weddings previously in the Claregalway hotel, each wedding was so different an so personal towards the couples an this is what stood out to us, from meeting with nora on our 1st meet she went through each package with us to see which suited us, we went with the platinum package as it has so much extras included, an it was a fantastic price will all that was included.
Unfortunately due to covid we had to change our date twice, 3rd time lucky we had our love story.
From the months leading up to our special day nora was always only a phone call away, nora was more like a friend because she was always there checking in how we were, she had everything under control an we never had to stress, about anything, back in February we had our meal tasting, it was fabulous, the fast professional service, the food was piping hot an tasted 10/10. On the final days an hours leading up to the wedding nora was on the phone finalising the last few details, going through menus, room bookings etc, we had nothing to worry about nora had it all taken care of.
When we arrived to the hotel after our photos, nora was there to greet us, with the champagne an red carpet, an not forgetting the umbrella (yes we had a bit of rain) but it didn't dampen our day,
The layout of the hotel was out of this world with the canap?s an the champagne fountain,
When the dinner bell rang everyone took their seats, an the meal was served, the service was fast the waiters an waitresses couldn't do enough for us, making sure everyone was looked after at all tables, all guests commented how well they were treated, lastly the champagne toast was such a treat with all waiters an waitresses singing an dancing, later on in the evening there was more refreshments available an everyone danced the night away, we spent the following 2 days in the hotel an it was such a pleasure spending the few days there, guests got great use out of the pool, there was live music each night an also the football during the day, hands down it was such a great weekend one that will be talked about for a long time everyone throughly enjoyed every minute, so nora an staff we will forever be thankful for given us the best day of our lives, an spending it with those we love an making it a forever lasting memory. For anyone looking for a wedding venue choose Claregalway hotel for the 5* experience, you will enjoy every minute, because with nora as your wedding coordinator she does all the planning for you while you enjoy the build up to the wedding

From the first day I contacted Nora, right up until the special day itself she was an absolute dream to work with! We were a ?Corona couple? living abroad, with many postponements - it was a stressful, uncertain time and Nora made it so much easier to navigate.

What can we say, from the moment we phoned enquiring about having our wedding in the Claregalway Hotel we knew we were in safe hands with Nora. Throughout our planning process Nora was always there for advice, support and suggestions. The wedding day itself was without fault, Nora was always one step ahead, it was fantastic to not have to worry about anything on the day, everything was taken care of. All of our guests were so complimentary regarding the decor and the set up, it was particularly beautiful as the Christmas decorations were in place. Having originally planned for a large wedding of 200+,Nora helped us through the various restrictions in place while always looking after the finer details too. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Claregalway Hotel and Nora to anyone planning a wedding and we are so grateful to Nora for helping make our day so memorable!

Nora's planning and help throughout a pandemic made us both feel at ease and reassured during every step. On the day, the hotel and function room looked amazing. I cannot recommend the Claregalway Hotel enough. Nora always responded to questions and requests very quickly and I was confident that she would help things to run smoothly on the day. She did not disappoint. Our original plan was for the traditional big Irish wedding but taking covid into consideration we were not comfortable with going for any more than 50 guests. Nora was very flexible in faciliating the intimate wedding with no issues. We had a brilliant day and our guests were praising the food and service.

Nora and the entire team at the Claregalway Hotel were absolutely fantastic to work with when planning our wedding, as well as hosting us on the day of (and morning after!). My husband and I wanted for nothing. Every detail was taken care of, and Nora was great during the planning process with ideas and reminders for things we would have forgotten!

We planned the wedding from abroad, so having someone experienced like Nora and her entire wedding team to help take care of things in the hotel, where we had our ceremony too, made our lives so much easier. The food was delicious, and fantastic value, and people were still talking about it weeks later.

The Covid-19 pandemic meant we had to have a limited number of people at our ceremony and reception, but we were so happy with the service provided by the Claregalway that we've already booked a second "re-do" wedding date with them for all of our family and friends once the restrictions ease. It was a no-brainer, the Claregalway Hotel is the place to go for your wedding.

We got married in the claregalway Hotel on June 11th 2021 during restrictions, the service we received from start to finish was absolutely brilliant, the staff on the day were so helpful and friendly, they could not do enough for us, all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the day and how relaxed it was. The food throughout the day was amazing. Nora and team are amazing.

We would have no hesitation in recommending the Claregalway Hotel to any potential wedding couples. Nora was a pleasure to deal with. She was always very efficient in responding to any queries we had. Our big day ran seamlessly. The whole team at the hotel were very professional and friendly. And made us feel very welcome. We were offered many different menu options and on the day our meal was delicious while the table service was top class.There was also an excellent cocktail menu! The hotel was extremely clean and well finished. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel provided us with an intimate area which was well thought out and suited our small group. We had the perfect day and look forward to staying at the Claregalway Hotel again soon.

For anyone hesitating on going ahead with the reduced no's for your wedding we say plough on. Its a most enjoyable & intimate day where you really do have good quality time with your guests. Where do we start from our initial meeting with Nora at the Claregalway Hotel we knew we were in a safe pair of hands. She took the time to meet us, get to know us as a couple and get to grips with the kind of a day we were looking to have. And in all of this the facts were put forward very clear and there was no pressure on making quick decisions. Throughout all of the changes over the past 6 months which we had to make nothing was ever too much trouble and Nora was always a listening ear & accommodated us in all the intricacies of the lockdown that we had to make. Great selection of tasty food on the menu from the drinks reception to the dessert. All of our guests enjoyed immensely and we found the staff to be most helpful & kind. We had our wedding during lockdown with limited numbers. Nora and the team made us all feel very welcome. The staff were very helpful. The team helped the day run extremely smooth. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was tailored to suit our needs. We will definitely be back for the big party when we are allowed!

Nora is everything you need in a wedding coordinator! Nothing is too big or too small! Even last minute items that pop up she has them sorted before you can even blink, she is wonderful and cannot do enough for you! Nothing can?t be done as she will always find a way! From the first minute we met Nora we knew it was the place for us. Nothing was too much trouble. everything we wanted was given to us and more. Excellent value for money we told Nora the package that was within our range and she did not try steer us higher which happened when we enquired elsewhere. Food was delicious. Staff were so friendly and accommodating to every guest. Ellen, in particular, could not have done enough for us on the day and the day after. We had our ceremony in the hotel also and it was perfect. Nora contacted all of the suppliers so we did not have to worry about organizing them for the day ourselves taking all the pressure off us. Both families could not say enough things about the hotel. Food, service, hospitality and the hotel rooms were all brilliant.

Nora was so helpful from the offset. She put us both at such ease organising our wedding from overseas. The lead up planning was made so easy and Nora was very responsive to my often very random questions and concerns! The on the day experience was fantastic. From out initial welcome to the hotel to our suite with a personal touch to the after party which went on to the small hours. Everything was covered with finesse and professionalism of the highest order.

We had our wedding reception in the Claregalway hotel in the middle of storm Emma and I cannot recommend this venue enough, the service was outstanding from beginning to end. Our guests all talked about how delicious the meal was, so efficient and there was plenty of seconds. The day ran so smoothly and we didn't have to worry about anything. Nora is fantastic at her job, she was absolutely brilliant in the lead up to our wedding and on the day itself. She made the planning of the day so easy, nothing was any hassle, any questions we had were answered promptly by email or phone. She was extremely helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with. All the staff were brilliant and so helpful. The room was beautifully decorated and a big plus for us is the Claregalway hotel offer the choice of having the chiavari chairs and they are beautiful. we really couldn't have asked for more. The bridal suite is fabulous and perfect to relax in the morning after the wedding. I would highly recommend this venue.

We just had our wedding with Nor? and her team at the Claregalway hotel and we cannot recommend them highly enough. From our first meeting with Nor? back in December she was super professional, friendly and everything we asked for was provided with absolutely no fuss, she made what should have been a stressful time for us, a pleasant and enjoyable experience and one we won?t forget in a hurry. On the day itself everything ran perfectly with no stress or hazzle, she made everyone feel relaxed including a nervous flower girl and page boy. The food was also fantastic as were all the staff. I booked the hotel for our Wedding after receiving an e mail from Nora ( owner / manager ) .
My brother and his wife were attending a Wedding and got chatting to Nora. She took my details and e mailed me. From then on James and I were in love with the place . The pictures on their web page are true .
I am a Galway girl living in Australia so it was very important to me to be able to trust the hotel. No need to panic , Nora was amazing . I'd e mail her today and within 48 hrs I'd have a response. We got e mails if she was on a day off or holidays ! It made things so easy .
We met with Nora twice before our big day. She was wonderful , took the time to go over ever detail and gave us ideas when we were unsure . The package we went with had items we didn't want and Nora gave us the freedom to omit and add as we wanted . Nora helps you create your day !
We had our ceremony and reception with Nora. It was a small family Wedding . We had guests from the U.K , Finland and Australia traveling. It was very easy arrange their accommodation with the hotel .
The staff were amazing . I would highly recommend The Claregalway hotel for a Wedding. I can't say enough good things about Nora and her staff. The food and service was amazing . All our guest were raving about how good and how much food there was . The reception staff even going as far as to print off our menus for some of our guests the following day !
We stayed 2 nights at The Claregalway , having a little get together the following night . It was a wonderful weekend and we can't Thank Nora and her staff enough for looking after us so well . If you are organizing your Wedding from afar then this is where you need to go !

Planning the wedding from Australia was going to be no small task. Nora was amazing via phone and email. She got everything done perfectly our dream wedding wouldn?t have happened without her. I know I left Aidan in charge but I was not stressed at all because I knew she had everything under control and every detail covered.

So I am finally getting around to leaving a review on The Claregalway hotel, to put it simply WOW. From the first moment we walked into the hotel we fell in love with the homely feel, Nora was a pleasure to deal with from the first meeting till the very end. We could not rate the staff and service in Claregalway Hotel enough they went beyond what we could of wished for. Our wedding day was perfect, the hotel was flawless, and even though some people questioned why we had travelled an hour from our hometown for our wedding reception, once they got to claregalway they understood, and have since said they would recommend the hotel to others, they had never experienced such service at a wedding before, there was so much food all of which was delicious, and I am a very fussy person. Words cannot describe how we felt having our wedding reception in The Claregalway Hotel. It was perfect! Thank you so much to Nora and all the staff for everything from the bottom of our hearts, ye really are the best.

Once we booked our date it was so good as Nora just had everything covered. Anything we asked of her or any changes we wanted was no problem.
Before the wedding and on the day of the wedding the staff were so helpful. Nothing was a problem.

Nora is so helpful & knowledgeable when it comes to weddings the couples are in good hands she will guide them in the right direction along the way. We were so impressed on how our day went could not fault any of the service.

We cannot rate the hotel, it's staff or Nora highly enough. Nothing was a problem and she took so much of the stress away organising everything and making sure all ran smoothly, which it did.

She was also there to provide a word of support and calm when my husband and I were unsure what to do or where to go, it can be quite stressful when you realise that you don't really know what you're doing! She suggested several things that we wouldn't have thought of and was just so supportive from beginning to end. The food was perfect and the service was exemplary. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to everyone and everyone and I know all my guests would agree since we've had nothing but great feedback.

Highly recommend the Claregalway hotel. Nora provides a very professional service from the first meeting to the morning after the weekend. She is very approachable and adjustable to suit the couples requests. Everyone that attended our wedding was very impressed with the service of the hotel also. Food was very quick from the kitchen. Her attention to detail is very impressive even down to the very small things like a disposable tooth brush in the bridal suite!

Nora,Nicola and all the staff at the claregalway hotel were amazing to work with.From the minute we went into the hotel to speak with Nora right up until we checked out the day after the wedding. We couldnt have asked for best service. We had a rehearsal dinner the evening before the wedding. We had a room to ourselves and it was so lovely, no one was crowed on top of each other and the meal was simply delicious we couldnt have had nicer. As both families stayed in the hotel the night before Nora was on hand all through the preparations on the morning. The ceremony room was decorated to a high standard and we put our own mark on it. The drinks reception was displayed beautifully. We didnt have anyone waiting around to be severed or anything. The function room was decorated exactly how we wanted it and they even had so surprises along the way. The food was fantastic and we couldnt eat enough. Everything was perfection. Nora always let us know what was happening and she was very discrete about talking to us. The food when the band took a break was also delicious and it was beautifully displayed. We even got more food in the residents bar that night. Aaron and I couldnt recommend The Claregalway Hotel enough. We are so delighted with how smooth the day went and all our guest went home with a big small on their face. If you are looking for a wedding Venue then I can tell you The Claregalway Hotel is the place to have it if you want your day to be perfect and amazing quality you wouldnt go too far wrong :) A big thank you to Nora and the staff for an unforgettable day.

We had the perfect wedding at the Claregalway Hotel, no request is too big for Nora and the team. I first spoke to Nora about our wedding when she was on annual leave in spain, this shows you how commited she is that she took my call, from that phone call I knew this was the venue for us! She takes such great attention to detail and does not forget a detail, the food was amazing all of my guests are still talking about it, she organised the ballroom breautifully and gave us great suggestions! On the day all the staff were fantastic, especially Nicola the assitant manager who helped me with my dress and even had a needle and thread to hand she was also fantastic at helping with latenight entertainment we had organised! Nora decorated our room with all of our signs and bits we brought to the hotel she left everything in our room including our cake all ready to take home. it was lovely to go to our room when the night was over and she had everything placed so perfectly! we honestly could not have asked for a better wedding thanks so much Claregalway hotel! I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding!

When we started looking for venues in Galway we of course looked at the big, popular hotels in Galway city and Salthill. However, before we made any decisions we thought we'd drive out to Claregalway (about 20-30mins from the church we were getting married in) to see what they had to offer so we could at least say we'd covered all bases. The Claregalway isn?t a very big hotel, not compared with the larger hotels in Galway city, but within a few minutes of arriving there and meeting Nora (the hotel?s owner and wedding co-ordinator) we knew this was where we wanted to have our reception. It blew all the other hotels out of the water!

Unlike other hotels which serve primarily as reception venues, the Claregalway Hotel becomes the hub for all your wedding planning. Nora will help co-ordinate details with you, liaising with suppliers (cake, car, florist, stationery, music) if need be to ensure that your wedding planning experience is as stress-free as possible. Her knowledge of all things ?wedding? is unreal!

Nora Gill is the embodiment of professionalism ? no detail is left to chance. During our first meeting with her, before we decided to book the hotel (and in which we were greeted with champagne and strawberries!), Nora promised to send us further details regarding the hotel?s menus, local B&Bs and wedding suppliers including bands and DJs. Within the hour I had an email in my inbox with all the information she promised plus additional advice and information we might find useful. Considering I?m still waiting for similar information from wedding organisers at two of the most popular wedding hotels in Galway this level of service and attention from the Claregalway was a breath of fresh air and it is a level of service and attention we continued to receive throughout the planning process and beyond.

I?ve been to a lot of weddings in and around Galway and, from the perspective of a guest, none of them offer the kind of service, quality and style that the Claregalway offers. The staff in all areas of the hotel are the friendliest you could possibly meet. They make you feel so welcome ? like one of the family ? and they cannot do enough for you. And, even though the hotel has set wedding packages, the hotel?s flexibility is such that when everything is finalised you have an almost bespoke wedding day and the value for money is second to none! We didn?t have a very big budget but at the Claregalway you can have the big budget experience without the big budget price tag.

We can't say enough about the service we received from Nora Gill and her staff, they were just unbelievable. First off we are living in America and my husband happened to have been at a wedding in the Claregalway 4 years prior, he had raved about the service and food and we decided to have our wedding there.
When I contacted Nora in late 2014 I found her to be very pleasant and extremely helpful, she provided us with a list of different services from photography to bands etc, I was not familiar with the area so it was brilliant that Nora was able to put us in the right direction, we picked the package that best suited us which included everything.
On the big day so many of our guests complimented that the food was tasty, hot and plentiful, the staff were very friendly nothing was a problem for them.
Nora was on top of her game I felt like I was the only bride in Ireland on Friday July 1st.
We can't thank them enough for making it a magnificent day.

I had waited,,19,years for my fairytail wedding,,as I was with my huasband since,I was seveteen,,I walked into the claregalway hotel,,and nora meet with us,I told her my story,,and told her ,I wanted a very intimate,and romantic setting,,and I got everything I ever dreamed of,,nothing was to much for nora,,she showed me where they had theit cival service ceremony,,and that was it the room was so spectuclar,,and romantic,,I had a little cry,,cause I knew this was it,,I would marry my huasband,in front of our children in this beautiful hotel,,nothing was ever to much,,ever thing I asked for was met,,,and that morning,,nora was their to keep me calm,,the staff are so provishnal,,and I stayed for three nights.,,and each day I woke up I still felt and was treated like a bride,, thank you nora for giveing me my fairytale wedding,,and makeing sure everything went to plan,,xx u are truly amazing and wonderful at ur job

Nora was a very accommodating wedding co-ordinator, she was very organized and helped us to create the best possible day for us. we were late arriving to the hotel due to traffic and Nora told us not to worry that she would be able to catch up time in the dining room and everything would run smoothly which it did. in our package we decide against a sweet cart but to our surprise it was available to our guests which was great. the best idea that was given to us and that our guests extremely enjoyed both kids and adults was the large photo booth where every guest in the photo was given a photo to bring home with them, to this day the guests are still talking about it. Overall, if I was to do it all over again I would pick the Claregalway Hotel again, it was brilliant in every possible way.

Great hotel

I can not speak highly enough of Nora in preparing for our wedding. Her warm personality professionalism and can do attitude was amazing. On our wedding day the function room looked amazing staff were extremely friendly and obliging and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere to the day and that is down to Nora and her staff so I can not recommend the Claregalway hotel enough as a wedding venue. Our guests are still raving about the hotel , beautiful meal and excellent service.

Everything from the meal to all the final touches were superb. Nora took care of all the organising, leaving us to enjoy our day.
