Cliff at Lyons exceeded our expectations. Food was incredible and the service was amazing from start to finish from all members of staff, not only to ourselves but to all guests. Each room was spotlessly clean and had the most comfortable beds (a big talking point from guests). Kimberley and Floriane were amazing to deal with and so helpful and patient with everything.

Brandon and I got married at the Cliff at Lyons on August 22, 2019. We are from Wisconsin, USA and worked very closely with Floriane and Kimberley to plan our destination wedding. They were so incredibly helpful and made all of our dreams come true. We had an absolutely PERFECT wedding day. The staff was so attentive and friendly; each and every person came up to us to congratulate us. It was a dream come true. We couldn't have asked for a better fairy tale wedding on such gorgeous grounds. The rooms, the food, the staff - everything was beyond our expectations. We truly did not want to leave.

We were provided with the wedding of dreams by Cliff at Lyons from start to finish. Our day was perfectly coordinated by Floriane who looked after us at every aspect and opportunity and we couldn’t have wished for more. Even though the day ran quite a bit late to schedule this didn’t get noticed by any of the guests or bridal party as everyone was having too much of a lovely time. Would recommend to anyone and provided us the time of our life thank you

We had our wedding at CLiff at Lyons on 25th July 2019. We organised a very small wedding reception for ourselves and 12 guests. We had a drinks reception at the Lyon's Bar and dinner at the Dovetail cottage. Florianne was great support and really help us customise the day so it was just as we wanted it. The grounds are amazing for pictures so we hope those will look great as well.

Cliff at Lyons is an incredible venue. It’s unique, romantic, idyllic & luxurious. It’s perfect for intimate to large weddings. Our guests could see where the money went, it’s not a tacky cheap place. The food alone was 5 star. The staff are exceptional, the wedding coordinator and operations manager being the creme de la creme. Each cottage and room is unique. This is a place that’ll stay with you forever. I don’t have the words to convey how unbelievable this venue is. It gave me the wedding of my dreams.

The Cliff at Lyons is an amazing venue. We got married in the small chapel on site with immediate family. The staff went above and beyond making sure everything was going to plan. Special thanks to Floriane our wedding planner who was fantastic to deal with, nothing was too much trouble,always a prompt reply and a genuinely lovely person.
Our guests were blown away by the grounds and accommodation, they had seen nothing like it before and wished they could stay longer.
The food on the day was absolutely fantastic. Our guests loved the canapes and we got wonderful comments about out main meal and afters food. Special thanks to Nathan and all the kitchen staff who made this happen in great timing.
Special thanks also to Ricardo who is wonderful at his job and makes hard work look easy. A pleasure to be around on the day and great fun. All staff working at the hotel are professional and friendly.
We had no worries that the hotel would perform on the day, we were very relaxed and knew we were in good hands and had a brilliant day.

Cliff at Lyon is an amazing venue. The professionalism and the event itself was breathtaking and we have attended weddings in southern France, Greece etc. The venue is beautiful and all their recommendations turned out beautiful. The fact that our bride could arrange such an incredible ceremony and reception from overseas with just their recommendations for local vendors, musicians etc is amazing. I hope other couples and families can have just as an amazing weekend as we did. If there were errors or mix ups, and of course there always are, they more than accommodated our family. Kudos to an amazing weekend!!

Our wedding at the Cliff at Lyons far exceeded any expectations we had for our wedding day. We decided to do a destination wedding in Ireland and had only seen the venue online prior to arriving in the country the week before the wedding. When we pulled up to the Cliff at Lyons, we were truly amazed at how beautiful the venue was and although the pictures online are fantastic, they do not do it justice. It is absolutely stunning and felt straight from a storybook. In addition, the staff was wonderful to work with and highly profressional. They were so attentive I felt as though every time I turned around someone was there to help. After having our wedding at the Cliff at Lyons, I can't imagine having been married anywhere else. It was truly the best day of our lives, and all of our guests couldn't speak highly enough of the experience.

Cliff at Lyons was my dream venue as soon as we arrived. Gerrard greeted us on arrival to view the venue and even happened to manage our wedding on the day too. All the staff we encountered were incredible. Even helping when I had red wine spilt on my dress, to assisting and making arrangements for my disabled father. We had the most spectacular day. We can't thank you enough!

The staff made everything so easy - nothing was too much! Our DJ unfortunately didn't turn up which was extremely upsetting, however Katie and the bar staff had this under control straight away and had a playlist set up instantly which ensured peopled still enjoyed the night and danced well into the early hours! The venue is absolutely stunning and all our guests kept mentioning that it was a hidden gem!! Gerard was amazing the night before and day of - he was so attentive!

The staff and the venue were amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day. I found myself very stressed the days before the wedding and they really did everything they could to make me feel better and did. All our guest were blown away by the venue, staff and how beautiful the food was. I would 100% recommend the Cliff at Lyons to future brides.

It was amazing!! Totally magical. Amy Masterson in particular was fantastic. Everything was so incredibly magical. The day was everything we dreamed of and more thanks to Amy and the rest of the staff at the Cliff At Lyons. We knew it was going to be a beautiful day but this exceeded all expectations. What we liked most about our experience with Cliff at Lyons was the quality of service. The help and friendliness of all the staff was amazing, and particularly the help from Amy and Gerry. Cliff at Lyons made the planning as easy as possible, the food was outstanding, the service was second to none and the ambiance excellent. Our big day at Cliff at Lyons can't be put into words. We had our very first date at the village and it was a very emotional moment coming back there for our wedding with all our family and friends. Cliff at Lyons is amazing and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Staff - Amy and Gerard are simply amazing at what they do. They made us feel so comfortable and welcome at all times. All the staff are very natural and down to earth. Arranging a wedding from abroad this was important, I felt I could trust the staff each time I made contact. Thank you, you are awesome!!!
I cannot recommend the Cliff at Lyons enough for a wedding. Every detail was taken care of and the service was of such a high standard.

Fabulous venue, fabulous food, very helpful wedding coordinators that make everything relaxed and nothings a problem!
There was just one room on site that really is very small with low ceilings that really shouldn't be the same rate as the other rooms as they are all fabulous and spacious. The fact that my bridesmaid got that particular room we were left disappointed. I can't re-call what the name was on the room but it was close to the main reception area.

Amy Amy Amy!! The most amazing person. Amy did not just make us have an amazing day she made the start of our married life the most enjoyable and happy experience, more than we could ever imagine. Amy is a credit to the Cliff at Lyons I can not thank her enough along with Gerard and Katie. From the moment we walked through the door the staff welcomed us like old friends. Amy Masterson is the most amazing wedding co-ordinator and we could not have had the day we did without her. The entire venue and staff were amazing, Majella was fantastic planning the wedding she was such a great support on the day as well. Kieron was also amazing on the day and pampered our every need. I would highly recommend The Cliff at Lyons to anyone that wants the perfect wedding.

once you have a large budget I would say that this is the only venue a bride should even consider.

What we liked most about our experience at Cliff at Lyons was our ceremony in the Orangery. As well as this, the staff were excellent, the food was excellent and the function room was excellent. The professionalism and friendliness of our wedding co-ordinator was top class and we would definitely recommend Cliff at Lyons as a wedding venue to a friend.

The venue is so beautiful and unique, it could sell itself. The fact that the team were so helpful and kind, was the cherry on the top. I planned my wedding from America and only arrived back in Ireland on the Saturday before, which meant that I needed Majella at Cliff at Lyons to go above and beyond. She delivered! Nothing was too much trouble.
Aside from my incredible wedding photographer from Portraits35 (http://www.portraits35.com/) and the amazing band Craddog, all of the vendors were recommended to me by the venue and they were perfect. Everyone made my life so much easier by working together and just getting the job done.

The venue staff were amazing on the day, so helpful and catered to all our needs. The food was delectable with great attention to detail. It felt like a fairytale and yet like a home away from home. The food though was the stand out winner of our day. We ate every bite ourselves, as bride and groom (most don't get a chance to savour their meal on the day - we made sure to savour it!) Our guests all reported back on how much they enjoyed their meal and that meant a lot to us, as one of the main reasons we chose Cliff at Lyons was for the amazing menu that was available as we wanted our guests to enjoy their meal just as much as we did! When we were looking for a wedding venue and visited the Cliffs at Lyons for the first time we fell in love with the place straight away and booked it without visiting any other venues. We just knew in our heart that this is where we wanted to say 'I do'. It's like a fairytale, leverywhere you look just a wow-factor, all our guests were impressed with the place, with the delicious food and the extremely friendly and professional staff, Gerard was a HUGE help to us. We couldn't imagine a more beautiful and happier day than we had. It really was the best day of our lives.

When I told my husband I was going to write a review, his first response was 'Can we score them at 11?' Our day was perfect from start to end - the team were so helpful and friendly to everyone. All the guests were so impressed - to the extent that one of them sent a personal thank you card to the hotel. No request was too much for them. The team were on top of every aspect that I didn't need to worry about a single thing. The only bad thing is how quickly it all went! I couldn't recommend a better venue!

Cliff at Lyons is absolutely a unique venue. From the rooms to the views, and food, everything was amazing! You will not be disappointed! The cottages are so spacious and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was there. The fully equipped kitchen is so great. We had a small wedding party of 20. So with there being 22 of us it was so nice that we could have our reception at one of the cottages. The wedding coordinator, Amy, was a pleasure to work with. She was so nice before and during our stay. Before our arrival, I spoke with her a number of times during the planning process. Every time I had a question she was so quick to respond! Thanks again Cliff at Lyons! We will see you again soon!!

The staff at the Cliff at Lyons could not be more helpful. They took care of everything on the day in a completely professional and discreet way. The venue is magical, we were so happy that every guest had a uniquely stunning room that they could enjoy during the day and the morning after. The food is fabulous, the menu tasting is a cool experience and I would highly recommend you book in for the night of the tasting so that you really get to enjoy it! the split level Isn't really an issue as all the seating is downstairs so people gravitate down once the music starts. Amy was our wedding coordinator and I couldn't rate her highly enough - nothing is an issue. The only thing I would say is book your rooms early if you can so that you can avoid having to move on the morning of the wedding- but honestly even that was not an issue the "fairies" sorted everything for us seamlessly..

Right from the day we met Amy in June 16 to the day after our wedding, she provided us with top class service. Amy made us feel extremely special and like we were the only people to ever get married there - nothing was too much hassle for you and the team. And your personal kind gift of a bottle of bubbly to enjoy on the morning of our wedding was so thoughtful. It wouldn't have been the same without you there that morning. To Gerard for making it his mission to get me a steamer and for keeping me in bubbly on the day - he was always checking for an empty glass - my kind of man!!! The guests were raving about Gerard too!! To Daniel for looking after us during our BBQ on the Monday night and during our wedding meal - again, nothing was too much hassle and he looked after us and our guests so well. To Nicola, Katie, David, Woyzeck on room bookings/reception and the housekeeping staff. Again, from start to finish we were all made so welcome and comfortable. Again, nothing was too much hassle. And to the Chefs, kitchen team and waiting staff. The food was outstanding!! My aunt is a retired catering teacher and trained many award winning and Michelin star chefs. Her exact words on the day were "the food and wine is exemplary" - a real testament! And not to mention the waiting staff who were VERY patient as guests sang, danced around tables and waved napkins at our wonderful entertainment by Tropical Storm! And last but not least to Majella who obviously leads a very professional and capable events team. Again, Majella was always on hand to answer any queries or concerns.

Beautiful venue, and fantastic staff leading up to the day. We we're very disappointed on the day by what seems to have been the part time staff serving during the afters, the bar and breakfast the next morning. Lots of teenagers who were a bit rude, but while all the main staff were there the service was impeccable. There was another wedding on the same night, so this may have affected the service so consider this when booking particularly if there are multiple events on the night. The afters food was small, so order much more then the numbers you have, we did do this but could of had more.
The venue re set up and organisation of room was flexible, the wedding co-ordination staff are so helpful, swift replies and just genuinely all round nice people who obviously enjoy their jobs. The venue provides the most stunning backdrop and the rooms are simply 'off the charts'.

We found Cliff at Lyons amazing. They were great to deal with and although they were expensive it was justified by the quality and service. Majella and Ger were brilliant to deal with. Loads of compliments on the day and venue from guests

At the time of my wedding the 'Cliff' brand had only just recently taken over, my ratings reflect the service received both before & after the takeover. If I had have been dealing with the Cliff team from day one I have no doubt they would be all 5 stars. Unfortunately the team in place beforehand just weren't up to scratch but thankfully The 'Cliff' team really went above and beyond for us on the day & Gerard in particular made sure we had the best day ever. I am so happy that we chose Cliff at Lyons for our wedding. Everyone just made everything so easy, any little issue that cropped up was dealt with by the wonderful staff before I had the chance to worry about it! We had a wonderful wedding, we loved the Village at Lyons, as did all our guests. The food was delicious, and our photos look amazing. My only criticisms are with the event planners (at that time). We got different answers from different staff (about minor details) and at times I felt that they were a little condescending. I had asked could my parents join us for the menu tasting, because I don't eat meat (I offered to pay) but was told it was definitely not possible. While we ate our meal, another couple brought their parents with them and had a great time.
Overall, the wedding was absolutely wonderful, but the planning was quite stressful, and could have been made much easier.
Just one more thing... we all think that the name 'Village at Lyons' perfectly suited the charm of the venue, and feel that it's a shame that that has been lost.

The build up to our wedding day & the organisation was made super easy by a very professional team. The venue was stunning, food and wine second to none and all guests had a wonderful time.
There were two negatives, firstly even though the venue was entirely empty on the evening before our wedding (with the exception of the wedding party) our guests still could not be facilitated for check in an hour early to dress for the ceremony. This angered and disappointed many. Secondly on the night of the wedding even though all luggage was labelled, everything including bridesmaid's bags and milk from the fridge was moved to the bridal suite from the house where I spent the night before with my bridesmaids. While I was oblivious to it until days later my husband and bridesmaids spent 30mins trying to tidy the mess up with very little compassion from the night manager.

My wife and I had the wedding of our dreams at the Village at Lyons - staff were amazing, and catered to our vegan, LGBT wedding beyond our expectations. It was an incredible day, and to say we were thrilled with our special day seems like too small a word to describe the perfection that occurred. Thanks so much everyone!

We had our wedding at village at Lyons just before it was taken over by cliff group . We completely fell in love with the venue it was absolutely beautiful . The service was first class and I was one of those brides who gave a lot of attention to detail and they fulfilled my every request ! The only negative I would say was the ceremony cost was high 1000 Euro and we wanted to get married outside and had to hire chairs on top of that .. it rained on our day so we didn’t opt for outdoor ceremony . But the value of money for the food was very good the quality of food was outstanding and better than anything I’ve had before at any wedding! So this made up for it . Our wedding was quite large and Majella (not sure if there now) and team were absolutely fantastic at catering to our every need . In particular Majella was amazing for responding to my many emails and various requests in run up to wedding! Our guests raved about guest rooms and many said was nicest place they have ever been ! We had the most special day ever in this venue it really was magical from start to finish :)

Everyone at the Village at Lyons were extremely helpful, we got great value for money and they bent over backwards to do things just as we wanted them done. There was no stress from them and even though they changed ownership pre wedding nothing was compromised, we had the same wedding we planned for and paid for. The food and wine were astounding. We can not recommend the village at Lyons enough. Everyone helped make it the best day if our lives

Excellent service, very professional, and in my opinion good value for money. Fabulous venue - it was raining the day of my wedding but the venue still sparkled. I had my humanist ceremony in the orangery which was stunning. Every detail was looked after by the staff. Would highly recommend.

We got married on the August bank holiday of 2015 and have to say, it would not have been such a special and memorable day if it had not been for the Village at Lyons and all the staff. All our guests remarked at how beautiful the venue is, how wonderful the staff were and how absolutely lip smacking the food was. If you're looking for a venue that is a little different and very private this could be the one for you. The entire venue is yours once you book, and so your wedding is completely tailored, nothing is impossible. We pretty much had every room in the place booked for us and our guests making the entire venue feel like home. We did have a few hiccups along they way, our wedding planner left the Hotel meaning a dip in service at that time but they more than made up for it in the weeks coming up to the day. They made every detail stress free after that and could not recommend them highly enough. Even after we got married they still remember us when we visit for a walk along the canal or a coffee. A really premium and polished service.

We had the most amazing wedding here.We fell in love with the quirky nature of the venue from the start.We were worried there might not be enough food but that was not the case at all,everyone raved about the quality and quantity of the food and wine.People loved the venue as it was so picturesque and different.Most of all, my guests commented on the service.There was nothing to big or small that's wasn't dealt with in a professional manner.My friends asked for a ride around in the buggy even though they didn't stay there,the staff minded my sister's shoes, the staff got extra things for certain guests even though they didn't order them. The Village at Lyons is a little bit more expensive than your average venue but WELL worth every penny.Thanks to all the staff who made our day so special!

The Village of Lyons is a beautiful setting. We got married on Jan 1st the day was flawless! The surroundings were stunning, the setting magical and the full day relaxing with fine dinning and food that was 5 star!!! The staff were professional, friendly and anything you wanted or needed was no problem to deliver. We would highly recommend this place we loved it from start to finish!!!

We all had a magical day with wonderful memories of a perfect wedding day at the Village at Lyons. The Managers, staff could not do enough for us. The food was outstanding. All our guests were enchanted by the spectacular fairytale setting of the Village at Lyons special 5 star wedding service.

I just want to thank all the staff who worked and helped organise our wedding on June 23rd 2012. The whole day was perfect from start to finish and the venue was amazing and is picture perfect, right down to the last detail. Nothing was too much trouble on the day and I can't compliment the staff highly enough for their professionalism and their good humour on the day and also for the bbq the next day.
Our wedding was for 75 people and the place was perfect and the grounds immaculate. I cannot recommend this place highly enough for a wedding both for its beauty and elegance and also for the excellence of the staff and management.
