Beautiful venue with lovely gardens and outdoor area. The house itself was stunning - amazing bedrooms, cute shepherds huts and we loved the wedding breakfast room (it's why we chose the venue). We hired it for 2 nights and had our day 2 there (a bbq for 100 people) which was an amazing end to the celebrations.

We felt the team were still getting onto their feet post covid (menu and chef completely changed only a few weeks before which was stressful plus there were issues with plumbing in one of the shepherds huts which we only found out after the wedding directly from the guest) but the venue is dreamy and hopefully after a few more events the team will find their rhythm (we'd still recommend them!).

The venue was just incredibly beautiful, the staff were super friendly. We had the whole place to ourselves and we were made feel very at home. The wedding coordinators were on top of everything. Our Wedding was simply dreamy!!

We got married on the 29th October in Horetown House. From the beginning of planning the day until check out on the morning after the wedding the team at Horetown House were brilliant to work with. Niamh, Kate and Tom ensured the day went smoothly and we didn?t have to worry about anything. With COVID restrictions constantly changing the team kept us informed of how our wedding would be affected. We viewed the venue a few times during the planning stages and really enjoyed the tasting day that was hosted. The venue is beautiful and exactly what we were looking for - private, intimate and charming. Our guests also had an amazing day and said the highlights were the food, the huts and the Cellar Bar. We couldn?t be happier with how the day went! Thank you Horetown House!

An amazing hidden gem venue with endless possibilities. We and our guests absolutely loved every minute there. We had a small wedding of 40 people. We choose to hire the venue the day before our wedding so guests and us could settle in, and so bridal prep could happen on site. The evening before we had a lovely meal in the cellar bar with our families. Our ceremony was in the white room and our dinner and dancing in the garden room which can be partitioned to make smaller. Niamh was an amazing wedding coordinator and planner. Everything was tailored to us. And she kept us very calm on the day. There were gorgeous spots for photos on site. We didn?t leave the venue. All the staff were so lovely and professional. A special mention to Rose, Mary and particularly Graham who was super to work with on the lead up, managed our wedding evening perfectly and was even kind enough to drop some of our guests to their local accommodations. Food was absolutely delicious! Faultless and plentiful. We can?t wait to visit the venue again! Wedding renewal T?

We could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding last year!! From our initial visit to view Horetown House in 2017, to the morning after the wedding last October, we were treated amazingly. Niamh, Kate, Graham and their team have created a very special venue!
Jim and myself fell in love with Horetown House so quickly that we didn?t actually view any other venues! The remarks from our family and friends after were that they couldn?t believe the atmosphere - it was like being in someone?s home! This is exactly what we wanted for our big day and we are very proud to tell people where we got married and show off the wedding pics at any opportunity!!
I would recommend Horetown House to anyone getting married who wants to create a unique and personal day. We genuinely can?t say enough good things about it!!!

We booked Horetown House for our wedding in September 2018. It was the best decision we made, everything was so amazing with this venue, I can?t even put into words! We had the house for 3 days and it just felt like home to everyone. The staff are the BEST! No matter the time of day / night / morning there would be someone there if we needed! The food was perfect too, that was an important thing for us and it didn?t disappoint. We would book again in a heartbeat.

Horetown House is a beautiful house in Wexford. It was close to our family homes and after visiting it one open day we fell in love. It is so romantic and has a very relaxed vibe.

Niamh, Kate and all the staff made us feel so special. They made everything so easy and stress free. Allowing us to relax and enjoy our wedding weekend so much.

We had such a magical experience and would highly recommend Horetown House.

Having visited a number of country houses in Spring 2016, we eventually found our way to Horetown House and we are so delighted we did. From the minute we drove up the avenue, through the booking and planning process right through our wedding day and second day celebration in December 2016, we have nothing but great memories of everything to do with Horetown House. Firstly the management and staff were so nice and helpful to us every step of the way, at no stage did we ever hear the word no, everything we asked for was greeted with a can do, will do attitude and this made everything so enjoyable all along the way. Niamh, Kate, Ann, Tom and all the team could not have been more helpful and friendly and by the end of our time there all our guest were on first name terms with the staff, which says a lot!

The venue itself is amazing, mixing beautiful old world charm with modern comfort and convenience. The ability to have the place to ourselves for the three days was incredible and really made the whole thing feel like the comfort of home but with the amazingly special surroundings at Horetown. Our photographer was so impressed with Horetown that they commented that the photographs would need no particular direction as every backdrop would look amazing whether inside or out.

The whole house was decorated for Christmas which made things even more special, but having seen it in its normal state, any time of year would be brilliant at Horetown. Niamh made every effort to ensure that the Garden (reception) Room was decorated to our taste and the ability to have things bespoke was brilliant.

The cellar bar was also something our guests loved and decor and lay out just lend themselves to having fun. We had a table quiz on the second day and people loved it.

Finally and maybe most importantly, the food and service at Horetown House was impeccable. We had the slow roast beef rib and Sea Bass as options and we took great pleasure in over hearing guests saying how amazing both were. The food on the second day was delicious too and perfect for the more causal atmosphere.

It is hard to avoid overuse of superlatives such as "perfect", "brilliant" and "amazing" when describing Horetown House, but that is exactly what its was, perfect, brilliant and amazing.

From the moment we entered Horetown House the day before the wedding to settle in we were greeted so nicely from all the staff who were excited for us that our weekend had arrived! Each and every staff member smiled at us from arriving to leaving three days later on the Monday. Nothing was a problem and somebody was there constantly to make sure everything was perfect at every moment. The place was spotless and set up unbelievably for our weekend events. The Friday night dinner for 30 was scrumptious everyone saying it and hoping that the wedding meal would be similar the following day being just as tasty!which it was!! We followed on down to the bar having a few chilled out drinks and enjoying the atmosphere. Saturday the wedding day was amazing from start to finish! Everything was perfect and anything wanted was given/brought up within minutes with smiles on all the staffs faces constantly. The food, the staff, the venue, the band and dj and everything else in between surpassed all our expectations. The layout and decor of the garden room provided for a classy yet relaxed and fun atmosphere. It was a stunning setting for the main event. The venue was loved by each guest and continued all the way into Sunday Nite late after we had a bbq on straw bales with garden games on the lawns and music playing. Everything about Horetown House was amazing. Having had no friends or anyone that had been to the venue we took a risk and hoped for the best. The best is what we got and it's the most stunning venue along with amazing friendly and caring staff, fantastic food and the perfect venue for any wedding one would want to have. We could never thank Horetown house enough for such a spectacular weekend and we will be forever grateful. Susan and Eoin (16/07/2016)

My sister recently got married and had her wedding reception in Horetown House. We booked in the night before and had a bbq the day after so we had three nights there. From the minute we arrived on Friday to the time we left on Monday we had one of the best weekends of our lives. Everything was perfect, Kate, Niamh and each and every staff member were the nicest, most professional staff any bridal party or guest could ask for. There was over 190 guests and they made the entire weekend run so smoothly from start to finish. They smiled all the time even very late into the night after starting work the previous day ie 16 hours earlier! The breakfasts (fresh pastries made as requested were yum!) were fabulous (hangover kits welcome for some), dinners and the wedding day canapes and entire meal was really devine. We could fault nothing and must compliment everything. The staff never stopped moving, helping, smiling, planning, organising the entire 3 days we can not praise or thank them enough. Anyone who is booked in for their own wedding Im sure will be thrilled they chose Horetown House. Anyone considering it or a country house that is simply brilliant would be so lucky to book into Horetown House. Thanks so much to you all for everything you did and the fantastic venue. 5 stars all the way.

We both fell in love with Horetown House the day we went to see it, nothing had prepared us for this fine sympathetically restored country house & lovely laid back owners in Tom & Bernie White. When we learned we could get married and have our wedding reception under one roof we booked our date straight away. Not only had we acquired one of the best hidden gems in Ireland for our wedding but we also acquired the best wedding planner any bride to be could have in Kate White, Kate ensured we did not have any stressful moments at all in the run up to the wedding, she chose our menu?s & wine, thought of things before we did and was always an email away. She even organised the hairdressers for my bridesmaids & I & to our surprise had a lovely bottle of champagne waiting there for us that morning to calm the nerves. Our day was perfect & all our guests just couldn?t believe there was such a place as Horetown House, they are still talking about the location, the views, the food. One text read ?What a brill day! the location, ceremony & the food was wonderful, not to mention the wine, we enjoyed ourselves so much & are crippled from all the dancing. Thank you so much? That pretty much summed up the opinions of all our guests. We enjoyed our day so much we are trying to think of an excuse to have another party at Horetown House!!! Tom, Bernie & Kate White, again thank you so so much & we wish you all the very best of luck in the future.

We had our wedding reception in Horetown House on May 8th 2009.
We had a small wedding with 40 adults and 2 children. Of the 40 adults, 14 were over 50 and the rest were late 20?s early 30?s.
To get a feel for the place, we spent Valentines weekend there. It was just so lovely, we got there late on Friday night, had a relaxing couple of drinks by the big open fire and then on Saturday evening we had our meal in the cellar restaurant downstairs. The food was fabulous and the staff were so lovely.
We had to hire out the whole house, but as there are only 10 rooms, they were all occupied by our family members. The fact that you have the whole house to yourself on the day of the wedding is a great idea, because it is just you and your guests and the staff and it means that their whole attention is given over to you.
No one had a bad word to say about our day, in fact they were in awe of the place and the staff.
They still rave on about it. A lot of them say they will go back for a meal or to stay some weekend as a treat.
Simply fabulous. My only complaint is that the day went too fast !
It certainly wont? be the last time we visit Horetown house.
Thank you to Kate, Tom and all the staff that helped us out on that day.
