We recently had the pleasure of having our wedding at the Knockranny House hotel and the experience was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we engaged with Claire, the wedding coordinator, to the end of our special day, she went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect and that our wedding was a memorable event.

Claire is a true professional. She has a wealth of experience in planning and executing weddings, and her attention to detail was truly impressive. She took the time to understand our vision for the wedding and worked closely with us to bring it to life. She was always available to answer our questions, offer valuable suggestions, and alleviate any concerns we had along the way. Her organizational skills were top-notch, ensuring that all aspects of the wedding were meticulously planned and executed.

The venue was beautifully decorated, providing the perfect backdrop for our reception. The staff at the hotel were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that all our guests felt comfortable and well taken care of. The attention to detail in the hotel's service was outstanding, and they seamlessly coordinated with the wedding coordinator to ensure a smooth flow of events.

Throughout the wedding day, Claire and hotel staff worked tirelessly to ensure that everything ran smoothly. From the setup of the venue to the coordination of vendors and the management of the timeline, they executed their roles flawlessly. Their professionalism, expertise, and calm demeanor were truly invaluable in making our wedding day stress-free and enjoyable.

Overall, I cannot recommend The Knockranny and their wedding coordinator Claire highly enough. Their dedication to excellence, attention to detail, and outstanding service made our wedding day an unforgettable experience. Knockranny House Hotel, Westport, Mayo



From the moment we got engaged on the top of Croagh Patrick, we knew we wanted to get married in Westport. For us, there was only one hotel in mind ? Knockranny House Hotel.



We were so fortunate that the date we wanted was available and on meeting Claire we knew we would be in safe hands. We were planning our wedding from abroad, which can be stressful, but Claires organisation and calm manner meant we had nothing to worry about. The venue was exquisite, and all the staff are so attentive and friendly.



On the day, our friends and family raved about the location, ballroom, views, but especially the food. Our compliments to the chef who served canapes and sandwiches for the drinks reception, a superb 6 course meal to 200+ guests and afters food later in the evening, and all in a very timely manner.



When the owner, Geraldine, came to the table to personally congratulate us we were truly blown away. As a family run hotel, you can see the pride and passion that Geraldine and all the staff have and that is evident from everyone you meet.



Our bridal suite was stunning, and we had the most beautiful view of Croagh Patrick from our room, which meant so much to us.



Thank you again Claire, you were an absolute dream, and we look forward to coming back in 2023 for our anniversary.

We could not recommend Knockranny House Hotel as a Wedding venue highly enough.
Everything from the moment we walked into the venue to checking out the day after our wedding was fantastic.
The venue itself is beautiful with stunning views and really captures the West Of Ireland. Inside, the hotel is exquisite with roaring fires, cosy decor and a feeling of absolute luxury. Claire, our wedding coordinator was amazing. Nothing was too big or too small and Claire handled everything with the up most professionalism. We planned our wedding from abroad but really this did not hinder anything one bit as Claire had everything under control at all times. The day ran so smoothly, the venue was decorated perfectly. The drinks reception in the cocktail lounge is a fantastic opportunity to mingle with guests - we ended up having almost an hour here which we really appreciated. The functions room itself was decorated so well, it felt so homely even though we had 250+ guests. One of our guests commented on the lack of pillars within the room and I never thought about this until afterwards, but even though the room is so spacious, there is no pillars in the way so when you are sitting at the top table you can clearly see all your guests which is lovely. The food was amazing, we have never quite tasted that quality at a wedding reception and this is something that each of our guests has commented on. There was plenty of second helpings offered around. Our band sounded brilliant and the DJ afterwards and everything went so smoothly during the day. Ours and our families rooms were the height of luxury - we could not have asked for anything better and ended up booking two nights the following week in Knockranny as part of our "mini-moon". We really got to enjoy the luxury and relaxation of it all.

For anyone who is thinking of booking Knockranny I would really recommend going along and meeting with Claire and possibly having dinner in the la Fougere restaurant - this will make your mind up!

Luxurious, exquisite, welcoming, beautiful, professional and personal are the words that come to mind when I think about Knockranny and I know it will hold a special place with us for many years to come.

We can't thank knockranny enough for such a supberb wedding day. Everything was top class and the day was just amazing. Claire is just such a brilliant wedding coordinator and we knew from day one everything would be perfect and it was. Claire is so dedicated to what she does and our wedding day wouldn't be what it was without the guidance and help of Claire.
The day went off so well, the food, the staff, the d?cor was elegant, the little touches and setting were all top class. We can't recommend Knockranny enough, they truly made dreams come through on March 30th and we can't thank them enough.
