Martinstown House is a beautiful country house built in the 1830s available for wedding celebrations and ceremonies on an exclusive basis. Your guests will have total privacy in 140 acres of private park and farm lands, with mature woods and a stunning Walled Garden. The Booth family share the property with flocks of sheep, cattle, two friendly donkeys and free range chickens who kindly donate their eggs to the kitchen. There are six elegant and comfortable bedrooms in the main house and a further three in the Yard House, perfect for any wedding party.
We take huge pride in our food at Martinstown House. We grow vegetables, salad, fruit and herbs all for the table in the Walled Garden, all of our meat comes from our award-winning local butcher, Nolan's of Kilcullen, and fish from the market in Howth. Our chef has trained in Ballymaloe and Rick Stein's in Padstow, UK, and is happy to bring you through the whole menu process.
Our stunning Drawing Room can accommodate parties of up to 60 in elegant and intimate surroundings, and the vintage-style Indian marquee nestled in the Walled Garden can seat 240+. We are also happy to be able to lend you our vintage 1966 VW Campervan which can be used on site however you wish.
Martinstown House is licensed by the HSE to hold civil ceremonies and are delighted to host alternative weddings. We have beautiful settings in both the Walled Garden and in the woods surrounding the house, and have had great success with both Humanist and Spiritualist ceremonies. There are a number of local country churches close by of all denominations, each with their own character and settings.
Your wedding at Martinstown House is made up of thousands of individual moments, the cumulation of a thousand decisions, big and small. The day is always a blur of memories, of dancing, of smiles, of hugs, of old friends and new family, but it is the tiny moments that you will remember most clearly. Catching someone's eye at just the right moment of the speech and the tears of silent laughter that ensue. Holding your partner's hand as you walk up together for the first dance. Sitting down next to your best friend and breathing a second whilst the whole day washes over you. The night sky lit with flaming torches, the warmth of the fires. At Martinstown House we strive to create those moments.
