We had an incredible experience from start to finish for our wedding. Summerhill was the first & only wedding venue we viewed in February 2024 & once we saw it, we immediately made the decision to book.

Summerhill’s wedding planner, Ciara was an absolute pleasure to deal with from the first viewing until finishing our Day 2 dinner. She made us feel comfortable and was super informative, responsive & attentive. She was absolutely fantastic & took so much off our plate. She was always available if we needed to clarify small details, thanks for this!

Our wedding day was perfect. My wife, Stephanie & her bridal party stayed the night before in Summerhill & had a lovely dinner in the Terrace Restaurant. Steph used the Morning Room to get ready with her bridal party, which took any stress out of getting their hair & makeup done.

We got married in the White Room, which overlooks the Wicklow Mountains. It was absolutely stunning & was dressed with our flowers. It was brilliant to have the entire day on site & I couldn’t recommend this more as it takes any transport or logistical stress out of the equation. The reception was fantastic & we really enjoyed spending time with our guests prior to the meal.

Every single guest was raving about the magnificent food, expertly prepared by the incredibly talented, Mark. From the menu tasting right up until we finished our Day 2 family-style lunch, he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We had a sit down lunch on Day 2 with 40 people & this food somehow even better than the wedding food. Thanks again to Mark for making the meals an absolute highlight of both days.

Thanks to every staff member at Summerhill as they made our day an absolute dream. We even had the owner Lorraine, pop in on the day of the wedding to say hello & make sure everything was going off without a hitch - we thought this was a lovely touch! Couldn’t recommend this venue enough.

Our wedding at Summerhill House Hotel was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning setting – the driveway up and the Hotel itself are absolutely beautiful and provided the most picturesque backdrop for our photos and celebrations. We also popped over to Powerscourt Gardens for a few photos too.
What truly made our day so special was the amazing staff. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind and genuinely attentive. A huge thank you goes to Cíara, the wedding coordinator & Adel, both of whom were exceptionally helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure the day was perfect & wonderfully stress-free and joyful.

We had the most unbelievable experience from start to finish for our wedding. From the minute we drove up the drive at the wedding fair in Summer Hill we were pretty sure we had found our dream venue. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the amount of drinks and food to sample at the fair was just unreal. We met Ciara who instantly made us feel comfortable and was beyond informative. Once we booked our date, we had 6 months to plan. Nothing was a hassle. Every question and request was met with a relaxed attitude and usually a "no problem". We wanted a relaxed, chilled, rustic vibe and that is exactly what we got and more. Our menu tasting was so much fun. Mark the head chef is a culinary genius and again was brilliant at guiding us with our choices. Sorting out the rooms for the wedding party was a headache for me and Ciara took that headache away and planned everything perfectly. I really felt like she was fully able to take what I was saying and make it the easiest thing in the world. The morning of the wedding was so much fun. We had the morning room for getting ready and a gorgeous brunch. Every single member of staff was so unbelievably helpful and friendly and nothing was an issue when the kids would change their minds about food and drink! Our ceremony was outside and I couldn't have been happier with the setup. The reception room was a dream come true for me. I loved how it was styled, Ciara went above and beyond for us. Our meal was unbelievable. All of our guests are still talking about how great it was. Everyone felt chilled out and relaxed. We honestly had the time of our lives. I only wish we could do it again! Ciara and Mark are so brilliant at what they do. Every staff member was just phenomenal. Our day 2 BBQ was just the same, really relaxed and chilled and the food was incredible! We are forever grateful to Summer Hill House Hotel, in particular Ciara, for making our wedding everything and more than we could have wished for.

Beautiful location full off character, great for a private wedding. The atmosphere was fantastic.The room for the ceremony and the reception was beautiful. Very family friendly. Bridal sweet was amazing. Literally everyone complimented how great the food was. All food presented throughout our stay was amazing. Seamus was also a pleasure to deal with.

Best day of our life. Our guest are still going on about how amazing the food was and how welcoming the staff were.

Seamus, Anne and the team really looked after us and could not do more for us on the day and in the lead up.The food was well presented, plentiful and tasty. The service was professional and friendly. The whole hotel was cosy, warm and welcoming. Great day and night!

From the second we walked through the door to Summerhill we knew we had to book it. An exceptional venue that went above and beyond for our special day. Thank you Seamus and co for everything. The food, service and setting was everything we ever wanted and more. No request was too big or too small. Our day was perfect. The food is 2nd to none and every one is still going on about it. You will not be disappointed with this venue.

Seamus, the Wedding Coordinator was extremely helpful and did everything he could to make our day flow like slow running water so that Siobhan and I had the best day of our lives. All the hotel staff were terrific from the day we booked the wedding right up to us leaving the day after the wedding. They really could not have done anymore for us. As for our wedding day it was magical and unforgettable.

Great wedding venue, very reasonable and lovely staff

We got married at the Summerhill in August 2018.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were always extremely helpful.
To be honest, we knew from very early on that they were experts in what they do, so we didn't stress about anything regarding the wedding reception. Seamus is so experienced and makes sure that all the boxes are ticked.
The venue itself is beautiful and even though we missed most of the arrival reception as we were off taking photographs, our families and guests could not say enough about the spread that was put on. We heard many compliments about the food and everyone seemed to enjoy the mix of both food and drinks that were served. The dinner went off without a hitch and the rest of the evening was great fun. I honestly didn't worry about a thing.
We had a champagne breakfast in the bridal suite the next morning but our guests were raving about the spread that was laid out for breakfast.
In summary, a stunning venue, there is a bar in the main function room, very professional and competent staff, fantastic food and overall great venue. We would highly recommend the Summerhill to anyone getting married. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good on the day we got married, but had it been, there was an outdoor cash bar and beautiful gardens for guests to enjoy in the sunshine at the reception. I've been to weddings here before as a guest and it's consistently pleasant and well run.

Summerhill is a fabulous wedding venue and has numerous opportunities for wedding photos in it's reception area and gardens. On our wedding day the staff were wonderful and the food was second to none. We received lots of compliments from our guests for our choice of venue and would highly recommend Summerhill House Hotel to others considering it as a wedding venue. Colm & Mary

It is a beautiful venue and my wedding day was beautiful most of the staff were brilliant. I did however have a few problems with one of the wedding coordinators. The meal was wrong at the wedding they gave 4 courses instead of 5 and that was no problem they were very apologetic. Everyone should also be aware that if there is a wedding the day before yours they only have one bridal suite and the bride from the previous wedding will be in the room so they have no where for you or the groom to get ready. We ended up getting ready in the room we stayed in the night before with everyone trying to get ready and suppliers it was not big enough and they also wanted us to check out 12 while we were in the middle of getting ready with no were else to put us until my mam said something. The only way to describe it was they were so stressed out with all the weddings for each day and different things going on that they were just stretched too thin. If they had a second bridal room it would have been no problem.

The Summerhill were extremely helpful, flexible and absolutely nothing was a problem. They were fantastic to deal with - from reservations, to the bar and floor staff and not to mention the amazing wedding co-ordinator S?amus. The function room is perfect in that it's spacious, the bar is in the room (big selling point for us), the bathrooms are near and the smoking area is close too - not forgetting that it is absolutely beautiful when dressed too. The service was absolutely impeccable on the day. The food was outstanding. Being locals, many of our family members have been married in the Summerhill over the past few decades and all of them could not praise it enough for the food, service and how stunning it was in general. Everyone is still raving about the different aspects of the Summerhill and I wouldn't change a thing about the day.

As soon as we drove into the grounds of summerhill house we got excited and just hoped the inside was as nice, it did not disappoint, it was amazing. Seamus was such a gentleman to deal with, nothing was too much hassle, he took all our ideas onboard with no issues. Seamus answered any questions we had and always put our mind at ease. All the staff were amazing the day of the wedding the food was amazing. All our guest have been raving about the venue, food and staff. We had our wedding ceremony and reception in Summerhill House Hotel in May 2019. We had an absolutely fantastic day! Thank you so much, we loved the hotel, the grounds, the food, the staff, (especially Seamus), the accommodation, the whole atmosphere created a wonderful surrounding for our wedding. We liked it so much we would do it all over again and not change a thing.

The best day. So well organised from start to finish by Seamus Carr. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole process was very stress free. Everything went to plan, we couldn't fault anything. So many of our guests have said everything was amazing...from the staff, the food, to the hotel itself! Wish we could do it all again at the summerhill!

I just cannot recommend Summerhill House Hotel highly enough. From the stunning grounds and reception room, to the delicious and plentiful food, to the friendly and helpful staff, everything was just perfect. So many of our guests remarked on the portions of food, no one was hungry (which can often be a complaint at weddings!). The value for money is amazing compared to so many other wedding venues we visited and we are just so happy and thankful to have had our big day in Summerhill. Thank you so much to all the staff! I would highly recommend this venue to any future wedding couples!!

The Summerhill is such a beautiful hotel with friendly staff who help so much leading up to our wedding. On our big day all the staff made myself and partner and guest feel so welcome that we felt the house was ours for the day from the food to the beautiful rooms our day was perfect thank you so much to all the staff at the Summerhill Enniskerry

We requested the cake to be cut during the ceremony, but there was a good bit of chasing around the staff to get it done. We requested a circular top table, as indicated in the Moposa spreadsheet, but the staff set it up as a rectangular top table. As my guests had already decorated the tables when I saw the room, we left it as it was. But it wasn't what we planned. The room reservations had a few hickups, but when our guests asked for better rooms, they were very well accommodated. Some guests had a 4-bed room to themselves, and one family of 3 had a boxroom-sized room, that was luckily changed around. The curtains in the Wedding Suite didn't closed properly, and came off the hinges slightly when we tried to close them. We had to pin them closed with hairpins to keep the light out. Also, some guests that arrived late for dinner on the Friday night were sent into the village to eat, while others were given the option to eat in the bar. The bar option was perfect for them, but hadn't been offered to all the guests as an option. Please know that these are all minor things that didn't make our stay and big day any less special, but if you want to up your service, we hope this helps.

Summerhill were a dream to work with in planning our wedding. We looked at a number of venues across dublin/Wicklow/Meath/kildare/wexford and each one was always missing one of the key features i wanted for our wedding. Until we saw Summerhill, the friendly atmosphere, the romantic setting, the attention to detail, the venue decor,and the warm welcome we received is what made me know there and then it was the venue for us. We wanted to add in some things, take away some bits and slightly adjust the menu and Seamus and the team were always so accomodating. Each request or idea i had, was responded to almost immediately and whether it was big or small, it was always a positive reply. When i felt i was being a bridezilla over the details, i was always met with a friendly and genuine response. I felt so at ease in the lead up to my wedding knowing the professionals at Summerhill had it all under control, this took a lot of pressure off in terms of planning such an event. It is extremely good value for money, the food and service is second to none, its a beautiful and romantic venue, where you can feel so comfortable and special on your wedding day.

From day one Ludovic and Seamus could not have done more for us and we never once questioned our decision to choose the Summerhill as our wedding venue. The food was amazing - with 3 chefs, a number of vegetarians and a couple of vegans amongst our guests it was really important to get this right and they absolutely nailed it! All 3 chefs not only completely cleared their plates but raved about breakfast the next morning too! The flowers and presentation were amazing and the staff were great setting out our bathroom baskets, favours etc just the way we wanted. We were treated like royalty for the duration of our stay (3 days) even with weddings on the friday and saturday (ours was thursday and we checked out saturday). We really could not recommend or thank them enough!

Staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We had some issues and it was no problem to them to help us. I really can't praise them enough!

We had our wedding on the 17/06/17 and it turned out to be the hottest day of the year . The hotel was fabulous on the day everything went without a problem and they changed things around so we could have our drinks reception outside which everyone loved. The hotel was exactly what we wanted and the staff couldn't do enough for us . Our wedding was a day to remember

Beautiful grounds and all the guests were pleased with the room. We had a few last minute changes and these were done without a hitch.

Excellent venue! Food was super, and the service was great from the point of booking our wedding to the end of the wedding day itself.

We received lots of complements from our guests on the arrivals food in particular. We had a carving station. It was something that we had seen at a wedding previously. We asked the wedding planner at Summerhill if this was something they could do, and they said it would be no problem. It went down very well with everyone.

They were very flexible in terms of what we wanted to include in our package.

Fantastic venue! Staff went above and beyond to facilitate my many requests. Food was fantastic. Rooms very nice and a reasonable price for guests. Service was excellent. Venue has that vintage chic look that I love. Ceremony can be held outdoors and the gardens are beautiful and very private. Enniskerry village is a beautiful place to stay for guests visiting from abroad.

Great Venue and super staff! We got married on the 27/12 and the hotel was slowed the night before but they opened for our wedding party to stay the night and decorate the venue! I'm a real foodie and the Food is Amazing! It was one of the main reasons we booked!

We could not recommend this place enough, overall package was very good and no hidden costs,with regards to customer service our guests gave us great feedback on the staff and also loved the food, overall I would definitely recommend summerhill house and have done , lovely to deal with and accomadated all of our needs.

I could not say enough positive things about Aidan and the team at the Summerhill. They went above and beyond to give us our perfect day.

Had a fab day and people still comment on the quality of food thst day and generous gelpings. Thought the first/ second meeting was a bit stingy no tea or scones offered. Also thought on the tasting night the room rate was v expensive had to stay in b and b. Wud have liked a first anniv email with a discounted rate for a night out in hotel. Having said that my sis is engaged and we will defo beviewing it. Think the venue is stunning.
