We had 4 postponements with covid and finally got married on September 3rd, over 2 years after our original date. Vickie is amazing to deal with, very understanding and professional. Always there when you need her whether it be on the phone or an email, from the bridal suite to the ceremony room to the main room everything was so amazing. The food got great reviews from all our guests, they are still raving about it. All the staff we dealt with on the day of our wedding were just so amazing and could not do enough for us, Would highly recommend the talbot for your big day. Thanks so much Vickie and team x

I would definitely recommend the Talbot Hotel for any couples getting married. Vickie the wedding co-ordinator was brilliant to deal with, and very responsive to emails. The food was fantastic and there was plenty to go around. The hotel were also very accommodating to dietary requirements, and the rooms are spotless. The only downside we experienced was that our bags weren't delivered to our room and we didn't get our champagne breakfast the following morning as expected - though we did get it the following day. Overall they're not big factors in the grand scheme of things and I'd still thoroughly recommend the Talbot

We recently held our wedding at the Talbot Hotel Carlow. From start to finish everything was handled perfectly. Vickie our wedding coordinator was such a pleasure to deal with, as were any other staff we had dealings with. Responses were very prompt & we had no worries as we knew Vickie had everything under control. The meal provided was plentiful and splendid as always, and number of our guests commented on the quality of the food. A beautiful cake stand & accessories were also provided & the renovated honeymoon suite was lovely. There was even a beautiful gift left in the room for us from the hotel which was a nice touch. I would highly recommend the Talbot Hotel Carlow if you are considering it for your wedding venue.

Lovely modern hotel, Bridal suite is amazing, Events team (Vickie) so responsive and helpful no e-mail or question was left unanswered, no request was too big or small. Aoife who looked after us on the day was brilliant, constantly in the background making sure everything was running smoothly. Food was excellent.

We couldn’t have chosen a better venue to celebrate our special day, the staff at the Talbot Carlow we’re exceptionally amazing they made our day very special. Vickie and the team worked extremely hard to make sure everything went smoothly prior to the wedding day by constantly checking in and making sure everything was going as planned and on our wedding day they really cared for us and our guests. We would highly recommend the Talbot Hotel Carlow to anyone for a wedding. Vickie and the rest of the staff were great! The packages are very reasonably priced and can be tailored to suit what you want. We had individual decorations for the tables and the hotel set everything up perfectly for us. The ceremony room was gorgeous and the bridal suit is amazing! The food was delicious and there is a huge selection to choose from for your menu. We both had a great day and so did all our guests. Everyone was very complimentary of the hotel and especially how friendly all the staff were. Highly recommend!!

Very hard to put into words how amazing getting married in The Talbot Hotel Carlow was for us. From our very first contact with the fantastic Vicky, the wedding co ordinator, right down to check out the next morning, our experience was everything we could have wished for and more. The ceremony room was beautiful, the ballroom absolutely stunning, the bridal suite so spacious and elegant and the hotel itself was such a high standard. The food was out of this world and our guests are still talking about it a week later. All of our guests and ourselves couldn’t thank the staff enough, they were all so courteous, kind and all had such friendly and approachable attitudes every time we engaged with any of them. Special mention to David and the other lovely girl on reception, Aoife and Sarah, Padraig and especially Eoin the barman who was fantastic on the night. Lastly, the greatest of thanks to Vicky who made the whole process so easy, fun and mostly unforgettable

When we booked our wedding we knew we made the right choice from start too finish we were looked after, the food was fab and the staff couldn't do enough for us would highly recommend the Talbot Hotel in carlow

Unbelievable Wedding Venue!! We had our wedding here and I can not praise Vickie , William and all the staff enough. From the very start everything in the planning was made so easy and I really didn't think about the reception side of this too much during the wedding planning as I felt it was being completely taken care of and I was right to think so. Vickie looked after us the week/day of the wedding and nothing was an issue. The civil ceremony room is absolutely perfect nothing too extreme it was just the perfect set up, the reception room is beautiful and all our guests are still raving about the food which was both tasty and plentiful nothing was spared. Everything about the day was perfect and the staff couldn't do enough for us or our guests. We ended up staying the night before & after the wedding as well and again the staff went above and beyond for myself glenn & all our guests , any other hotel We’ve stayed in we never got treated so well if I could give all the staff in the Talbot hotel 6 stars each I would 100% do so. You will not regret your decision to book With the Talbot Carlow . If you were also looking for a in house DJ , James is definitely your man to get in touch with from entertainyou.ie , we had the pleasure of having eugene with us on the evening from the minute he started he had everybody up dancing or doing the rock the boat. They gave us the best day ever and thought of everything even with all the last minute changes they still went above and beyond !!

We had our special day one year later than planned due to covid, we booked the week before covid began so we were worried about what would happen , in the end we had to postpone by a full year but this was all dealt with so easily by Vickie and the team. We decided to book the hotel after staying for a night and we were blown away by the facilities and kindness of the staff. We booked after our first conversation with Vickie. We booked the package and decided to upgrade as it was great value for money , we were very relaxed about all the details as Vickie had everything in hand. We loved every second of our 3 day stay in the hotel and from the meal to the incredible staff everything was perfect. Michelle Tony Mary and the lovely lady who looked after us personally on the day thank you for everything, and Vickie we could not have asked for more from you and we will forever remember the part you played in our big day. Congratulations to anyone who makes the decision to marry in the talbot you have made a great choice!

Vickie, William and the team went above and beyond from the day we met them until we left the day after the wedding. Nothing was too much to ask and both our guests and ourselves came away extremely happy. We have received great feedback on the food from all who attended. Both of us have food allergies and we were catered to exceptionally. Vickie was great at supporting and managing date changes due to covid. We would happily recommend the Talbot Carlow as a wedding venue to anyone looking.

Words cannot express how happy we are that we chose the Talbot Carlow as our wedding venue. From our first meeting 3yrs ago until checking out after our wedding we were made feel as our wedding was the only one that mattered. Our boys were also treated as VIPs and hated leaving. The package we chose was excellent value and there was plenty to go around. We also had our ceremony at the hotel and all decor for ceremony and the reception was taken care of and was amazing it took that added stress factor away from us. It was our 4th date as covid kept postponing it on us but Vickie and her team were always there for support at this time and went above and beyond with advice and help all the staff in every sector of the hotel were phenomenal and so professional and friendly if you are in two minds about the hotel don't as you will not be disappointed they make you feel like family and really look after you. And can I just say WOW for the bridal suite it's something out of this world. Thank you everyone at the Talbot Carlow you are fantastic and we can't thank you enough for everything you have done

We chose the Talbot after meeting with the event’s organiser Vickie. I had attended a wedding there previously and loved the hotel, staff, and food. Vickie made us feel so at ease and we felt assured every detail of our wedding would be taken care of. We were a covid wedding, we read nightmares of couples dealing with hotels, our experience was so different. We were the hotel's priority and not money, everything was altered and changed to make our day exceptional and special despite covid. We were never faced with extra costs if anything because of the situation allowances were made, and our day was top priority. Any time we needed help or support from Suzie in reservationist Michael everything was taken care of. I felt like a princess and that my day was most important. The day before I stayed in the wedding suite with my children, every member of staff made us feel so welcome and excited. Anything we wanted: rooms for the bridal parties, coffee delivered to the room, prosecco on arrival, the bridal suite was amazing, pure luxury. Our bridal parties loved the room, the sheer detail of care and attention. It felt so special. I got up the next morning and had breakfast everywhere, my husband arrived with his best men to get ready in their room, which was all ready for them and had no fuss or hassle. vickie took care of everything she was like a friend. We could chat and laugh with her, and she kept us at ease. On the day the staff and in particular Michael and William were unreal, they took care of everything, the day went at our pace and how we wanted everything. The guests commented on the food and the room itself was stunning, I had visited the night before and I was overjoyed at how beautiful it was. Michael and the staff did everything, a covid wedding and we did not feel we missed out on anything. The next night some guests stayed. We were given a room and music, we ordered food and we ended our wedding on such a high note of fun. The managers checked in and the bar staff laughed and shared in the fun. It was unbelievable. We headed off on our honeymoon and on our last night we extended by one night just to go back to the hotel and see everyone. We were so grateful. We were welcomed back by Michael and William, and it felt like our wedding all over again. The team became like friends. The talbot will remain very special to us. We can't wait to return for our one-year anniversary. We stayed twice in the hotel and each time cakes and a welcome were left in our room. the attention to detail was excellent Overall, our experience was second to none. Our wedding day is truly special, people still speak about the hotel, the staff and food to us. We used the Talbot Hotel Carlow as our venue for our wedding on the 13/Nov/2020. We could not fault a single part of our experience with the hotel and staff from start to finish. Originally we had a number of 170 and due to covid19 we had 25 guests and us. Vicki the events co-ordinator in the hotel was just spectacular at her job, so helpful, nothing was ever a problem and the attention to detail on the day just blew our minds. The staff that looked after us on the day were amazing and really made it so special with the smaller number. All of our guests were so impressed with everything. From the decor to the food and service, AMAZING. The bridal suite is absolutely stunning too which makes the day even more special. We can not recommend the Talbot Hotel highly enough.

Coud not actually recommend the Talbot hotel enough. Everything was just perfect. From the day webooked our wedding the staff was so helpful any questions had they would get straight back 2 me with a response. The day of the wedding couldn't have gone any better everyone loved the food And commented on the huge portions and how lovely all the staff was. We have a big family with loads of kids so the dome in the carpark and the kids club helped keeping the kids busy over the weekend. Thanks so much 2 all the staff you were all brillant we had such a fab weekend xx

We had our wedding day at the Talbot in Carlow and from start to finish it was just perfect. We felt supported throughout our wedding planning and on the day the staff were amazing. The service they provided was next to none. We had endless amounts of prosecco and the food was absolutely to die for. All our guests raved about the meal. We got married in the Talbot hotel carlow on June 1st 2018 this hotel is fabulous but I have to say the staff and management make this hotel I have been in many hotels in Ireland but the staff in the Talbot hotel carlow are exceptional, we had such an amazing day the food was great and everyone of our guests complimented the meal, Niamh and Michael were great to deal with so professional nothing was ever a problem and they always got back to me almost immediately, I would recommend this hotel for your special day you will not be disappointed Breda & Rory

From our very first meeting with Michael, we knew the Talbot Carlow was the perfect location for our wedding reception. Everything we wanted was just simple and no hassle. Michael & Niamh were both available for any questions we had during the year. The food was perfect, served hot! I honestly couldn't fault the staff, each and every member of the team was helpful and friendly. We had the best day.

All we can say is absolutely amazing the hotel went well and beyond there expectations. Food staff hotel accommodation everything was 100% Niamh Whelan was just incredible such a lovely girl cud not have asked for better from the first time we went into the hotel about our wedding up until our big day she could not do enough to help us all the staff were amazing anybody getting married we highly recommended the talbot hotel in Carlow. Couldn't fault the staff or the hotel for our wedding they were fantastic and all our guests including us had a great day food was amazing! 1 thing we were both surprised by was that our wedding never got a mention on there facbook page or no pictures weren't put up either like they did with all other weddings they hosted , but other than that a great hotel and well run and organised ????????

We found the Talbot Hotel excellent, the service was brillant, the staff super friendly and the meal was delicious.We have 2 children and found the staff and hotel very child friendly. From the moment myself and my new husband met with Michael, one of the managers we felt comfortable.. he explained everything and answered any questions and made us feel at ease about a few very important requests we had! Booking The Talbot Hotel Carlow as our wedding venue was the best choice for us.. Niamh the wedding coodinator was in contact quite frequently and made everything clear and on the day the staff were exceptional... on hand and made it special not just for Noel and myself but our guests and our children. The standard of service is very high and the place was warm, the food was delicious and hot and we danced the night away without having to worry as the staff had everything under control... couldnt have asked for better... It was perfect and we would highly reccommend this venue to everyone.
