The Conyngham Arms

The Conyngham Arms is literally "the best kept secret in town" Someone suggested we visit it as a potential wedding venue, and on the way there we vowed not to choose the first place we saw but that was very short lived. We were looking for a smaller venue for a 60 guest wedding and this place was just perfect. We wanted a cosy vibe with a great space for the wedding reception and when we saw the reception room it ticked every box. Its bright and airy with beautiful décor giving the place a luxurious feel. Then you have the beautiful private garden there too. I cannot rate this place highly enough. The food was amazing and everyone is still talking about how good it was. The waiting and bar staff are just so brilliant and helpful too. Special shout out to Tracy the wedding co ordinator who could not have done enough for us and gave us great advice when needed. She made sure the whole process was stress-free and seamless. Also another special shout out to Donna who co ordinated the wedding on the day. These ladies are just the best and couldn't do enough to make us feel special and help us out and its so obvious they really love what they do. We were so lucky to find the perfect venue and we had the most amazing wedding day. Thank you all for making the day perfect for us.

My husband and myself got married in the Conyngham Arms Hotel in Slane on 3rd September 2021. We both fell in love with the look and feel of the venue immediately, especially the Library room which caters for smaller ceremonies. Our wedding co-ordinate Tracie was excellent both professionally and personally, nothing was a problem and all the staff went above and beyond to make our day so special and memorable. The decor and attention to detail was amazing and unforgettable and the atmosphere in the library room was so intimate and perfect as we had a small number of guests only 17 in total. The food was absolutely delicious and we could not fault it in any way, a big thumbs up to the chefs and kitchen staff. I would highly recommend the Conyngham Arms Hotel for a wedding venue especially if you are looking for a smaller intimate wedding. The Conynham Arms Hotel hosted our wedding 12/06/2021 with 25 guests and everyone was blown away. Tracie and Tadhg went above and beyond along with all their staff, everything was taken care of, the food was amazing and they were so attentive. They made planning a wedding so easy (during a pandemic via zoom, I know right!) We were blessed with nice weather and had our ceremony in the private garden which was so beautiful, we had our pictures taken in the gardens too, along with our drinks reception/canapés. The children had such a fun time playing in the garden too. We were unfortunately not able to do a tasting menu with the hotel which wasn’t ideal but I had nothing to be concerned about, the food was absolutely delicious! All of the waiting staff were so approachable and the service was 10/10! The accommodation was excellent too, great value and the rooms are all unique and beautiful! Honestly if you are looking for a wedding venue, go and visit this place. I would do it all over again tomorrow. Thanks again Tracie, Tadhg & the entire Conyngham Arms Team!

There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe our experience at the Conyngham Arms. We fell in love with the whole setting on our first viewing and booked it as soon as we could. Over our three year engagement, we made regular visits and each time we were blown away by the amazing food and fabulous staff. A couple of weeks before our wedding, we were told we would have a new wedding coordinator but this didn't concern us at all. On the big day, Gina made sure that everything was perfect and we were able to fully enjoy our day. We had both our ceremony and reception in the hotel and the transition was seamless. The food was exceptional as always, and all of our guests commented on how delicious it was. Gina and Stephen made sure we were well looked after throughout the day - as did all the bar and waiting staff. Choosing the Conyngham Arms for our wedding, was one of the best decisions we have made and we highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much for making our day so incredibly special. We had a wonderful wedding day at the Conyngham Arms Hotel in June 2019. We have very happy memories of the occasion. The venue is really lovely with charming decor and a beautiful garden. The staff were warm and friendly and went all out to make our day special particularly Joanne, the wedding coordinator. We would recommend the hotel as a wedding venue without hesitation.

The Conyngham Arms in Slane is truely an exceptional place to have your wedding. We had our wedding there on Dec 30th 2018. Louise took care of every detail from the first day we made the enquiry right through to waving us off the day after the wedding. Stephen and his bar staff had everything ready when required and had a good rapport with the guests. David (Head Chef) was a very personable and professional fellow and the meal was exactly as the tasting had promised. The reception staff always have a friendly welcome and the catering staff were a jolly and attentive crew.

We had a look at a couple of venues and when we saw The Conyngham Arms, we knew it was want we both wanted. Apart from the fact it is set in the beautiful Slane, it is a cozy hotel and one we had to ourselves for the day. We had the ceremony and reception in the hotel and the place was beautifully set up. The garden out the back of the Conyngham Arms was the perfect setting for photographs and they also have a beautiful fountain and locked area across the road of the front of the hotel for photographs so we didn’t have to leave our guests for long. Louise was a pleasure to deal with and when I had my lists of questions, she was always there ready to answer patiently and gave me all the time I needed by phonecall or email. When I arrived on the morning, Louise was there to greet me, very calm and welcoming, exactly what I needed when the nerves were high! The guests enjoyed and commented on their food, we had a great night choosing this and sampling the dishes. Having a bar in the function room meant guests stayed together and could mingle more, we loved the idea of the place to ourselves, it made the place feel so special and unique to us. Steven was fantastic from start to finish, we called in a couple of times before the wedding and he always remembered us by name and was so friendly. It made us feel so reassured about the venue and the day itself and he did not disappoint. Steven could not have done enough and the rest of the staff working that day were all brilliant. A couple of our guests commented after saying how friendly and helpful staff had been to their individual needs which meant a lot to us. We truly had the best day and that was down to the ease of everyone involved, we cannot thank everyone at The Conyngham Arms enough. From the lead up to the day itself, from organising the rooms to the menu tasting and catering for all the guest needs on the day, thank you. For a friendly, warm intimate day I would really recommend the Conyngham Arms. We can’t wait to pop back for a pint and catch up with the friendly faces. Thanks again for everything!

The Conyngham was perfect for us. The hotel and staff warm and welcoming, but also professional. Louise, the wedding manager, is just so down to earth and nothing was a problem. Stephen, the bar manager, always on top form when we met him and lighthearted; both are also professional and make sure everyone is looked after. The decor and atmosphere of the ceremony/wedding/bar and side rooms were just as we imagined. Louise and staff did a wonderful job with their own lay out and the use of our own little extras. Service was brilliant and smooth at all times. All the staff also had that friendly, nothing is a problem energy, which helped make our day special. The food was perfect, including vegan and vegetarian meals. Highly recommend The Conyngham Arms. Since booking our wedding we have visited and know we will many times again.

We had our wedding at the Conyngham arms in July. It was the easiest decision for us as we fell in love with the place as soon as we walked through the door. Its a very stylish and quaint venue and really creates an intimate feel. With beautiful scenery and gardens, it had everything we were looking for. Louise was fabulous throughout the planning and really responsive to emails (a huge help when you're planning your wedding from abroad). The staff were polite and went above and beyond on the day to make sure everything went smoothly. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves, with comments of broken shoes from dancing all night ! lol I would 100% recommend the venue!

We had such an amazing day, the staff couldn’t do enough for us and our guests. Louise was brilliant in helping us plan our big day right from the start, she gave us so much advice in areas we were unsure of. The food was excellent and the Chef catered for everyone’s requirements. We really felt the place was ours for the day and we were made feel so special. I’d highly recommend to anyone planning their Wedding to go and talk to Louise, she’s so genuine and warm, and when the snow hit in March and we had to reschedule our Wedding to September she was so accommodating.

We had our wedding celebration at the Conyngham Arms Hotel at the start of September. As soon as we met Louise and took a tour of the venue we knew it was the place for us and immediately cancelled all the other viewings we had booked. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The option was there to be as much or as little involved in the planning as we wanted. After a couple of meetings with Louise, she quickly sussed out what we wanted (before we did!) and went about organising a day we’ll never forget. She was always available to answer any of our questions and responded without hesitation. We can’t praise Louise and all the staff at the hotel enough for their amazing hard work and attention to detail, not to mention Stephen, who saw the night through to the early hours of the morning. Nothing was too much to ask. All of our family and friends are still raving about the day, everything from the tiniest decor details to the mouth watering food. The beef practically melted in your mouth before the first chew! Everyone remarked on the friendliness of the staff and the relaxed, easy going atmosphere in the hotel.The gardens were impeccable and somewhat of a secret. A lot of our guests weren’t expecting them to be there and with such amazing weather it definitely kick started the day’s celebrations on a high. The gardens also provided a great backdrop for our photos. We booked a selfie mirror and there was no issue setting space aside for them to set up. All in all, it was an incredible venue which we got to enjoy with our guests in private for the day as it was closed to the public. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Conyngham Arms Hotel for a wedding or any occasion for that matter. It’s an amazing boutique venue nestled in the heart of Slane. Since our first visit on viewing the hotel we’ve regularly returned for dinner and have never been disappointed!

We could not have asked for a better wedding weekend. Our guests had an amazing time as did we. We were catered for in every regard. We had guests from overseas and a lot of children at our wedding which the hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We got married in a ceremony in the hotel which was magical overlooking the beautiful gardens. Our reception was beautifully merged between inside and out so that we felt that we had one big large country house including gardens all to ourselves. We even had a lunch the next day in the function room for our remaining guests which again ended up being a great day and evening. Louise was on hand to make sure this went smoothly as well. Louise is welcoming, highly experienced and a very perceptive events manager. Her team including reception, bar, restaurant, kitchen, function room and room staff are exemplary in the service they deliver. All did so many lovely things for us and our guests that it would take too long to list all of these 'extras' in one review. Thank you so much Louise and Stephen(Evening function)and the wonderful ladies in the dining room/function room for giving us a weekend that we and our guests say, will cherish forever. The Conyngham Arms was a fantastic choice for our big day. From the food tasting ahead of the event, to the details on the day itself, we had nothing to worry about and everything went according to plan. The staff were always helpful and friendly, the food was excellent (we still receive compliments on the food from guests months later) and the decor of the place was perfectly in tune with the overall rustic feel of the place. We couldn't have wished it to be better.

We cannot thank Louise & all the team at the Coyningham Arms enough. They went absolutely above & beyond for us. We needed to bring our wedding forward due to a parent's illness so we ended up organising everything in a month. Louise could not have been more caring and helpful towards us. The day ran seamlessly from ceremony to meal to a few drinks and songs - everything went perfectly. The staff were all so accommodating & kind to my mother in law which meant a lot to us. What could have been a bittersweet day became a wonderful celebration - all the guests were super impressed with the food, room & staff. We had our wedding here in July. Louise and all the staff honestly could not have done anymore for us. Everything went so smoothly and the food was amazing! We honestly had the best day of our lives. Its such a lovely venue with gorgeous gardens. Would highly recommend any couple looking at wedding venues to check this place out, or any occasion for that matter. I dont think I could say enough to explain how much we loved every minute of our wedding day (and the day after) in this lovely hotel. We were absolutely over the moon with everything from start to finish. I cannot commend Louise enough for everything she and her team did for us, they were so good every step of the way; from our initial viewing and phenomenal tasting, to our last min decorations dash and the smooth running of the day. Louise was very good with responding to any queries during the whole process, which was particularly helpful as we were planning the wedding from abroad. She went above and beyond constantly to pull out all the stops to help make it the day of our dreams! The venue is a hidden gem, filled with charm, class and character and I cannot recommend it enough.

We loved the Conyngham arms from day one, it was the only venue we viewed. It is stunning and exactly what we wanted. Louise went above and beyond to make the planning and the day run perfectly, she had no problem with the (many) boxes of decorations we dropped in the day before and herself and the staff did a beautiful job decorating. Killian was so helpful and friendly, he sat down with us to discuss the menu at our tasting and the food was amazing on the day. All of our guests commented on how good the food was. We were overwhelmed by how nice all the staff were. They all went out of their way to make it the perfect day. I cannot thank everyone enough and would highly recommend this venue.

Fantastic personable team that from the moment we met were genuinely interested in us, our day and a number of special requests. The venue is small, intimate and when combined with the hidden gem Boyne House provides a magical setting. The staff were exceptional and felt more family than host. We shall remember our special day for the rest of our lives and the venue was perfect. As for value it was hard to beat, the food was awesome and we even had a ball on our tasting night - and that's coming from a "cautious" Scotsman! Five star all the way at three star budget. We stumbled across the Conynghamarms for lunch when looking at another venue and we knew straight away that we wanted it as our venue. It is not your typical hotel which we really didn't want. It doesn't have the big driveway or fancy grounds but it had plenty of character and charm and was a great place to hold an intimate wedding. The wedding coordinator Louise couldn't have done more to help over the past months and was there on the day making sure everything ran smoothly. She made our day very easy. She decorated the room for the ceremony beautifully. The food was absolutely amazing; both quality and quantity! The canapés we ordered were tastefully presented. For the sit down food, we had pate or fishcake for starter. There were reports of one person actually licking the pate container clean. We had hake and lamb on the menu and got many positive reviews about both from guests. The afters food never ended! There were sandwiches, pizza and bacon butties. I would highly recommend the venue to prospective couples.

We are so absolutely happy we chose the Conyngham Arms Hotel as our venue! We chose it at first purely due to the great recommendations of their food. It did not disappoint! The head chef Killian sat down with us during our menu tasting and was super nice talking with us about the changes we wanted to make to the proposed menu. Everything turned out better than expected - we loved the cheeseboard we got for our late night snack!!! On top of the excellent food we were so delighted to learn that all the staff at the Conyngham Arms, starting with the waitresses, reception staff and especially Louise, the wedding coordinator went out of their way to help us make our day the most perfect one! It truly shows that everybody absolutely enjoys their work and are delighted to help wherever they can. Our guest numbers had changed during the planning process several times and I am fully aware that it must have been a bit 'challenging' to say the least, but if it was so- I've never been given the impression that it was a problem! Everybody is so professional at their job and I can only recommend the Conyngham Arms as a wedding venue!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here on the 9th September and I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. It is a beautiful boutique hotel with only 15 bedrooms, all decorated differently and very chic. We had all the rooms booked out for the wedding so we had the whole venue to ourselves for the day which made it very intimate. You would pay through the nose to get this exclusivity at any other venue. There is a beautiful garden out the back in which we had hoped to have the wedding ceremony. It lashed rain all day on the wedding so we had to have the ceremony inside in the Lavender suite. I was initially disappointed we couldn’t have the ceremony outside but I was absolutely blown away with how beautiful the Lavender Suite looked. It was better than I could have imagined. They opened the French doors out to the garden so we were looking out onto the garden during the ceremony and despite the rain it created a really beautiful atmosphere. We were absolutely delighted with the food, it was excellent and I can’t speak highly enough of the service we received throughout. The staff are so friendly and professional. Louise, Barth, Killian and all of the staff there were amazing to deal with the whole way through the planning process. They made everything so easy and enjoyable for us on the wedding day. I would highly recommend this hotel for a wedding or for any special event. Thank you all for such an amazing day!

We had our wedding reception at the Conyngham Arms on the 26th of August 2016 with 130 guests. We were drawn to the Conynghan Arms for its beautiful grounds and decor, which fit exactly with what we had in mind for our big day. The wedding planner Louise was amazing in the lead up, she was so approachable and happy to answer any of our questions. She bent over backwards to help us make the day everything we wanted. All the staff were amazing, but special mention is definitely required to Louise, head chef Killian and general manager Bart as they all went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted. We are still hearing from our guests what a great time they had, and particularly raving about the food. We couldnt be happier with how the day turned out, it was perfect, and would absolutely recommend the Conyngham Arms to anyone for their wedding ????

From the first line of communication to the amazing specially designed meal setting to the checkout the next day everything was perfect. We are so delighted to have found this little gem of a venue for our wedding reception. It was a prefect intimate setting with extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating staff. The Chef, Cillian, was a pleasure to deal with and is a true master in the kitchen. Our guests were very impressed with food, from the scones and little treats at the reception to our dinner, the chicken and fish options were so tasty for such a large number. Cillian was a terrific help at the menu tasting explaining all our options and gave us plenty of choice. The events and wedding coordinator, Louise, was brilliant and ensured all the little details we had requested were just perfect. She was brilliant when we arrived, frozen after our wedding photographs, and provided us with warm scones in between more photographs and welcoming our guests. I had my wedding in the Conyngham Arms on New Year's Eve and was completely overwhelmed with the effort and thought that the staff in the hotel put in to make our day perfect. We had a meal in the hotel the night before our wedding with the bridal party and the food was excellent. On the day of our wedding the staff were on top of every little detail, I could find no fault with any aspect of the day and felt that the hotel pulled out all the stops to ensure that we, along with all of our guests had a fantastic day. The wedding coordinator Louise was at my beck and call at all stages leading up to the day and was so organised yet relaxed on the day itself, nothing we asked for was an issue, they really couldn't have done more to make our day special. We had the hotel exclusively to ourselves for the day which was lovely. We had our ceremony in the hotel also, and the decor and layout of the ceremony room was beautiful. All our guests commented on how good the food was and I have to commend the head chef Cillian and all of the kitchen staff as they were so accommodating and provided such l high standard of food, which can sometimes lack in quality at a large function, but not here, every single bite was delicious!! This hotel is a hidden gem in the world of wedding venues, it's cosy, charming decor is beautiful and unique, each bedroom is decorated differently with excellent taste. The hotel have recently renovated a manor house and coach house directly opposite the hotel which are decorated to the highest standard and which are extremely comfortable and luxurious, it topped off the experience for us to stay in such beautiful accommodation on the most memorable, special weekend of our lives. We held our wedding at this venue a couple of weeks ago and were absolutely delighted with our choice of hotel. We really felt that every member of staff were invested in the day. From the moment we arrived right up until the second we left we felt looked after. In the run up to the wedding the co-coordinator Louise and her team went above and beyond to address every query our anxiety we had. Some family stayed the night before and it was lovely to see the staff get ready for the wedding the next day. On the day itself the venue can be exclusively yours so you feel like it is a home from home albeit with lovely staff there to help you at every turn! The food was fantastic and guests are still commenting about every aspect of the day. We are so happy we chose the Conyngham Arms. Thanks to everyone there who made our day so, so special.

Cant praise these guys enough for thee most perfect day for our wedding. Everything was perfect, setting, hotel, bedrooms, food, regular communication updates etc. From the get go, nothing was an obstacle. I had a very clear vision of the day in relation to the theme, and they made it possible for it to become a reality - cutting things out and including others with no fuss at all on their behalf (other than to see if it was to our satisfaction) Food wise, we visited the hotel on a few Sunday afternoons to sample the goods and even with a party of 120 plus, the standard did not disappoint. Amazing food packed with flavour, special concession made for anyone with allergies, massive portions to keep everyone happy and seconds for those who just couldn't get enough. If we were given the opportunity to do it all again. we wouldn't change a single thing! For those who have one of thee most amazing days of your life in front of you, my advice would be look no further and your wedding day is in safe hands!

Everything about this hotel was and is excellent. This was the first and last hotel we looked at to book our wedding and from the minute we walked through the doors and had a look around, we knew this was the hotel for our wedding. All the staff were friendly and very helpful from the time we booked right up to our wedding day. The food was lovely and served with great efficiency. The function room is not too big which means your guests are all within focus on the day, its very classy in style and looked fab on the day when we added our own touches. Fantastic venue for any couple to get married.... I'd recommended this hotel highly.

I can't rate the Conyngham Arms highly enough. From the first moment dealing with them they have been nothing but friendly and accommodating and helpful. Everything about the place was perfect and just what we were looking for. Because the hotel is small enough it means they can close the whole place and make it exclusively yours for the event. I really loved how the garden and sitting room were just off the main reception room, the Lavender Suite, which meant that guests could be in other places during the dancing but still feel connected and not be too far away from the action. The place is decorated in a very classic and elegant way and I love that the chairs were pretty enough to not need chair covers! With the decor so classic as a crafty bride it was perfect for me, I was able to to add my own personal handmade touches that worked really well against the existing backdrop of the rooms. And Ruth and all the team were very understanding helping me bring everything from the car into the hotel the week of the wedding and setting everything up so that it looked even better than how I imagined it! There was a wonderful amount of light in the main room as well and you were never far from fresh air with the garden connected. The staff couldn't have been more helpful both in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself. All the guests commented on how excellent the staff were from the wait staff right up to the management. The kitchen were very accommodating as well, as I am coeliac I requested a few adaptations to make things gluten free and they had no problem adapting for me and everything was delicious! The rooms are fabulous! I like the fact that all the rooms are done to such a high standard that there is no specific bridal suite as such, they are all beautifully decorated and finished and furnished. One of the things that really sold it for us choosing the Conyngham Arms was when they told us that they source a lot of the produce locally either from their own gardens or from local suppliers, I really appreciated that. I also loved the beautiful soaps and toiletries from the Handmade Soap Company, also a local producer. As I said I cannot rate the hotel and staff highly enough, everyone there contributed to making it a really special and memorable day for both of us, seamless and perfectly orchestrated so we didn't need to fuss about anything. Thanks to Trish, Eve, Ruth and David and all the team at the Conyngham Arms for an amazing day and a really amazing celebration to remember!

The management team in Conyngham Arms were very helpful with all the arrangements. Despite the change in the wedding planner as one of them changed jobs, the transfer in information was seamless. All requests for customising the room and decorations were taken on board. I would definitely recommend them for an intimate wedding of 70 people or so. Have space for band setup and dancing and also a lovely little secret garden. Price is affordable and great value for quality of service. Menu choices are plenty and can be customised too.

We had such a wonderful experience dealing with the conyngham arms in the preparation stages and of course on the day of the wedding. Nothing was too big of an ask for David the manager he truly was amazing. Head chef killian also went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect. All of the staff were also so friendly. I cannot recommend the conyngham arms highly enough.we had both our wedding ceremony and reception there. It truly was amazing in all aspects from classy decor to Michelin star food. It is a day we will always remember . Thank you David, killian and staff for giving us our fairy tale wedding.

“I just wanted to drop you a quick note of thanks again and to let you know what an absolutely perfect day we had in the Conyngham Arms for our wedding. All aspects of the day... from our arrival into the fabulous garden with the fountain, to the beautiful lavender suite function room, to the delicious food at our meal, to the outstanding attention received from the staff in the hotel... it all really exceeded our expectations. We really couldn't have been happier with how each part of the day went. Many people commented on how beautiful the hotel and gardens looked, how attentive the staff were and also how delicious the food and wine were too. I couldn't recommend the Conyngham Arms Hotel more as a wedding venue. The hotel has been really tastefully redecorated throughout and the function room and garden are just perfect for a wedding reception. My older relations were also really happy to be able to sit down and chat in the comfortable sitting room next to the function room without feeling like they were too far away from the action too! We were really thrilled with how the whole day went and looking back we wouldn't change a thing. We just wish we could do it all again! Mark and I got married last Friday 27th September 2013, the hotel looked wonderful and the food was fabulous.
