The Conyngham Arms

The Conyngham Arms was the first venue we viewed and we fell in love with it immediately. We knew later that day after viewing another venue that we were wasting our time looking anywhere else. We loved the decor and intimacy of the venue, it was exactly what we wanted and suited our needs. We were totally blown away with the attentiveness and professionalism on the day of viewing by Tracie and this continued through our whole planning process. Tracie made everything so easy for us and anything we asked was no problem, she couldn't of been more helpful and had great advice and helpful tips.
The whole day was fantastic from start to finish. We had our ceremony onsite and it was one of the best decisions we made. Our guests were blown away by the venue and described it as a "hidden gem" and thought it was great that the hotel was exclusively ours for the day. We have eaten in the hotel on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed the meals but we really couldn't believe how good the food was on the day from the pre meal nibbles to the reception meal, evening food and breakfast the next morning. Every meal was fantastic. We honestly had no complaints and everything was just completely perfect.
We couldn't say enough to recommend the Conyngham Arms Hotel. Dealing with Tracie felt like chatting wedding plans to a friend and any couple would be very lucky to have her helping them organise their special day.

We had our wedding last June in the Conyngham Arms, and we could not recommend them more highly. From day one, Tracie was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We organised our wedding from Australia, and could not have done so without Tracie's assistance and attention to detail. She was always on the end of the phone whenever we needed her, and she thought of absolutely everything. On the day, everything ran smoothly, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is so quaint and beautiful ? perfect for small-medium weddings. The food was fantastic, we are still hearing from guests how good it was. The garden off the main function room is such a wonderful attribute, our guests thoroughly enjoyed it. All in all, we could not have asked for any better, it was the perfect venue for our wedding!

We worked with Tracie to organize our wedding. She could not have done more for us. We wanted a relaxed, small wedding of 50. Tracie was super responsive and very thoughtful. She helped is with every aspect of the day and recommended lots of ideas. We had the best day, it went without a hitch and was exactly what we wanted. I would recommend to anyone.

We had our wedding back in August, can't recommend this venue enough. Our wedding co-ordinator Tracie was an absolute gem. Communication from the very start and throughout was excellent. The food was amazing on the day, everybody raved about it. The room was decorated beautifully, and the garden was the perfect place to have our photos taken. The staff were so friendly and efficient and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day. We also rented one of the Orchard Holiday Village homes the night before the wedding to get ready there on the morning of, the house was beautiful and only a 2 minute drive from the venue which was perfect as I didn't have to rush getting ready. 5/5 stars couldn't fault a single thing. The Conyngham Arms in Slane was an exceptional venue for our wedding, our guests have raved about the food, service and ambience of the hotel since the wedding. We loved the relaxed but professional approach by the hotel and we could not recommend them enough. The function room is beautifully decorated as standard and to have exclusive use of the garden was the cherry on top. Tracie was a dream to deal with and very experienced. The accommodation options are varied and all our guests were amazed at the decor and the overall setting of everything. We had over 110 guests and exclusive use of the hotel which made everyone feel very special, the space was ideal for our numbers and certainly gave us the boutique Hotel experience. We could not have imagined having our wedding anywhere else. Nessa and Alan.

The Conyngham Arms is literally "the best kept secret in town" Someone suggested we visit it as a potential wedding venue, and on the way there we vowed not to choose the first place we saw but that was very short lived. We were looking for a smaller venue for a 60 guest wedding and this place was just perfect. We wanted a cosy vibe with a great space for the wedding reception and when we saw the reception room it ticked every box. Its bright and airy with beautiful d?cor giving the place a luxurious feel. Then you have the beautiful private garden there too. I cannot rate this place highly enough. The food was amazing and everyone is still talking about how good it was. The waiting and bar staff are just so brilliant and helpful too. Special shout out to Tracy the wedding co ordinator who could not have done enough for us and gave us great advice when needed. She made sure the whole process was stress-free and seamless. Also another special shout out to Donna who co ordinated the wedding on the day. These ladies are just the best and couldn't do enough to make us feel special and help us out and its so obvious they really love what they do. We were so lucky to find the perfect venue and we had the most amazing wedding day. Thank you all for making the day perfect for us.

The Conynham Arms Hotel hosted our wedding 12/06/2021 with 25 guests and everyone was blown away.
Tracie and Tadhg went above and beyond along with all their staff, everything was taken care of, the food was amazing and they were so attentive.
They made planning a wedding so easy (during a pandemic via zoom, I know right!)
We were blessed with nice weather and had our ceremony in the private garden which was so beautiful, we had our pictures taken in the gardens too, along with our drinks reception/canapés.
The children had such a fun time playing in the garden too.
We were unfortunately not able to do a tasting menu with the hotel which wasn't ideal but I had nothing to be concerned about, the food was absolutely delicious!
All of the waiting staff were so approachable and the service was 10/10!
The accommodation was excellent too, great value and the rooms are all unique and beautiful!
Honestly if you are looking for a wedding venue, go and visit this place.

There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe our experience at the Conyngham Arms. We fell in love with the whole setting on our first viewing and booked it as soon as we could. Over our three year engagement, we made regular visits and each time we were blown away by the amazing food and fabulous staff. A couple of weeks before our wedding, we were told we would have a new wedding coordinator but this didn't concern us at all. On the big day, Gina made sure that everything was perfect and we were able to fully enjoy our day. We had both our ceremony and reception in the hotel and the transition was seamless. The food was exceptional as always, and all of our guests commented on how delicious it was. Gina and Stephen made sure we were well looked after throughout the day - as did all the bar and waiting staff. Choosing the Conyngham Arms for our wedding, was one of the best decisions we have made and we highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much for making our day so incredibly special. The Conyngham Arms in Slane is truely an exceptional place to have your wedding. We had our wedding there on Dec 30th 2018. Louise took care of every detail from the first day we made the enquiry right through to waving us off the day after the wedding.
Stephen and his bar staff had everything ready when required and had a good rapport with the guests. David (Head Chef) was a very personable and professional fellow and the meal was exactly as the tasting had promised. The reception staff always have a friendly welcome and the catering staff were a jolly and attentive crew.

The Conyngham was perfect for us. The hotel and staff warm and welcoming, but also professional.

Louise, the wedding manager, is just so down to earth and nothing was a problem. Stephen, the bar manager, always on top form when we met him and lighthearted; both are also professional and make sure everyone is looked after.

The decor and atmosphere of the ceremony/wedding/bar and side rooms were just as we imagined. Louise and staff did a wonderful job with their own lay out and the use of our own little extras.

Service was brilliant and smooth at all times. All the staff also had that friendly, nothing is a problem energy, which helped make our day special. The food was perfect, including vegan and vegetarian meals.

We had our wedding at the Conyngham arms in July. It was the easiest decision for us as we fell in love with the place as soon as we walked through the door. Its a very stylish and quaint venue and really creates an intimate feel. With beautiful scenery and gardens, it had everything we were looking for. Louise was fabulous throughout the planning and really responsive to emails (a huge help when you're planning your wedding from abroad). The staff were polite and went above and beyond on the day to make sure everything went smoothly. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves, with comments of broken shoes from dancing all night ! lol I would 100% recommend the venue!

We had our wedding celebration at the Conyngham Arms Hotel at the start of September. As soon as we met Louise and took a tour of the venue we knew it was the place for us and immediately cancelled all the other viewings we had booked. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. The option was there to be as much or as little involved in the planning as we wanted. After a couple of meetings with Louise, she quickly sussed out what we wanted (before we did!) and went about organising a day we?ll never forget. She was always available to answer any of our questions and responded without hesitation. We can't praise Louise and all the staff at the hotel enough for their amazing hard work and attention to detail, not to mention Stephen, who saw the night through to the early hours of the morning. Nothing was too much to ask. All of our family and friends are still raving about the day, everything from the tiniest decor details to the mouth watering food. The beef practically melted in your mouth before the first chew! Everyone remarked on the friendliness of the staff and the relaxed, easy going atmosphere in the hotel.The gardens were impeccable and somewhat of a secret. A lot of our guests weren't expecting them to be there and with such amazing weather it definitely kick started the day's celebrations on a high. The gardens also provided a great backdrop for our photos. We booked a selfie mirror and there was no issue setting space aside for them to set up. All in all, it was an incredible venue which we got to enjoy with our guests in private for the day as it was closed to the public.

We would have no hesitation in recommending the Conyngham Arms Hotel for a wedding or any occasion for that matter. It's an amazing boutique venue nestled in the heart of Slane. Since our first visit on viewing the hotel we've regularly returned for dinner and have never been disappointed!

We could not have asked for a better wedding weekend. Our guests had an amazing time as did we. We were catered for in every regard. We had guests from overseas and a lot of children at our wedding which the hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We got married in a ceremony in the hotel which was magical overlooking the beautiful gardens. Our reception was beautifully merged between inside and out so that we felt that we had one big large country house including gardens all to ourselves. We even had a lunch the next day in the function room for our remaining guests which again ended up being a great day and evening. Louise was on hand to make sure this went smoothly as well. Louise is welcoming, highly experienced and a very perceptive events manager. Her team including reception, bar, restaurant, kitchen, function room and room staff are exemplary in the service they deliver. All did so many lovely things for us and our guests that it would take too long to list all of these 'extras' in one review. Thank you so much Louise and Stephen(Evening function)and the wonderful ladies in the dining room/function room for giving us a weekend that we and our guests say, will cherish forever.

The Conyngham Arms was a fantastic choice for our big day. From the food tasting ahead of the event, to the details on the day itself, we had nothing to worry about and everything went according to plan. The staff were always helpful and friendly, the food was excellent (we still receive compliments on the food from guests months later) and the decor of the place was perfectly in tune with the overall rustic feel of the place. We couldn't have wished it to be better.

We cannot thank Louise & all the team at the Coyningham Arms enough. They went absolutely above & beyond for us. We needed to bring our wedding forward due to a parent's illness so we ended up organising everything in a month. Louise could not have been more caring and helpful towards us. The day ran seamlessly from ceremony to meal to a few drinks and songs - everything went perfectly. The staff were all so accommodating & kind to my mother in law which meant a lot to us. What could have been a bittersweet day became a wonderful celebration - all the guests were super impressed with the food, room & staff. We had our wedding here in July. Louise and all the staff honestly could not have done anymore for us. Everything went so smoothly and the food was amazing! We honestly had the best day of our lives. Its such a lovely venue with gorgeous gardens. Would highly recommend any couple looking at wedding venues to check this place out, or any occasion for that matter. I dont think I could say enough to explain how much we loved every minute of our wedding day (and the day after) in this lovely hotel. We were absolutely over the moon with everything from start to finish. I cannot commend Louise enough for everything she and her team did for us, they were so good every step of the way; from our initial viewing and phenomenal tasting, to our last min decorations dash and the smooth running of the day. Louise was very good with responding to any queries during the whole process, which was particularly helpful as we were planning the wedding from abroad. She went above and beyond constantly to pull out all the stops to help make it the day of our dreams! The venue is a hidden gem, filled with charm, class and character and I cannot recommend it enough.

Fantastic personable team that from the moment we met were genuinely interested in us, our day and a number of special requests.
The venue is small, intimate and when combined with the hidden gem Boyne House provides a magical setting.
The staff were exceptional and felt more family than host.
We shall remember our special day for the rest of our lives and the venue was perfect. As for value it was hard to beat, the food was awesome and we even had a ball on our tasting night - and that's coming from a "cautious" Scotsman!

We got married in December 2016 in the Conyngham Arms Hotel. This was the only venue we viewed for our wedding. It was exactly what we wanted, lovely relaxed atmosphere with delicious food and fantastic staff. A big thank you to Louise, Bart, Killian and all the staff for making it such a wonderful day. The Conyngham Arms was the perfect choice for our wedding. It was the only venue that we went to see so that says it all really. From the time we booked till the day of the wedding Louise and her team could not do enough for us. All of our guests commented how friendly and nice the staff were throughout the day. My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here on the 9th September and I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. It is a beautiful boutique hotel with only 15 bedrooms, all decorated differently and very chic. We had all the rooms booked out for the wedding so we had the whole venue to ourselves for the day which made it very intimate. You would pay through the nose to get this exclusivity at any other venue. There is a beautiful garden out the back in which we had hoped to have the wedding ceremony. It lashed rain all day on the wedding so we had to have the ceremony inside in the Lavender suite. I was initially disappointed we couldn't have the ceremony outside but I was absolutely blown away with how beautiful the Lavender Suite looked. It was better than I could have imagined. They opened the French doors out to the garden so we were looking out onto the garden during the ceremony and despite the rain it created a really beautiful atmosphere. We were absolutely delighted with the food, it was excellent and I can't speak highly enough of the service we received throughout. The staff are so friendly and professional. Louise, Barth, Killian and all of the staff there were amazing to deal with the whole way through the planning process. They made everything so easy and enjoyable for us on the wedding day. We had such an fantastic day as the hotel organised everything so well. All the guests had a great day.

Louise, Barth and all the staff here went above and beyond all expectations for us on our Wedding day. From the first line of communication to the amazing specially designed meal setting to the checkout the next day everything was perfect. The Conyngham Arms is such a wonderful venue I wouldn't change a thing about it and would 100% recommend it to any couple on the wedding trail!

I had my wedding in the Conyngham Arms on New Year's Eve and was completely overwhelmed with the effort and thought that the staff in the hotel put in to make our day perfect. We had a meal in the hotel the night before our wedding with the bridal party and the food was excellent. On the day of our wedding the staff were on top of every little detail, I could find no fault with any aspect of the day and felt that the hotel pulled out all the stops to ensure that we, along with all of our guests had a fantastic day. The wedding coordinator Louise was at my beck and call at all stages leading up to the day and was so organised yet relaxed on the day itself, nothing we asked for was an issue, they really couldn't have done more to make our day special. We had the hotel exclusively to ourselves for the day which was lovely. We had our ceremony in the hotel also, and the decor and layout of the ceremony room was beautiful. All our guests commented on how good the food was and I have to commend the head chef Cillian and all of the kitchen staff as they were so accommodating and provided such l high standard of food, which can sometimes lack in quality at a large function, but not here, every single bite was delicious!! This hotel is a hidden gem in the world of wedding venues, it's cosy, charming decor is beautiful and unique, each bedroom is decorated differently with excellent taste. The hotel have recently renovated a manor house and coach house directly opposite the hotel which are decorated to the highest standard and which are extremely comfortable and luxurious, it topped off the experience for us to stay in such beautiful accommodation on the most memorable, special weekend of our lives. We held our wedding at this venue a couple of weeks ago and were absolutely delighted with our choice of hotel. We really felt that every member of staff were invested in the day. From the moment we arrived right up until the second we left we felt looked after. In the run up to the wedding the co-coordinator Louise and her team went above and beyond to address every query our anxiety we had. Some family stayed the night before and it was lovely to see the staff get ready for the wedding the next day. On the day itself the venue can be exclusively yours so you feel like it is a home from home albeit with lovely staff there to help you at every turn! The food was fantastic and guests are still commenting about every aspect of the day. We are so happy we chose the Conyngham Arms. Thanks to everyone there who made our day so, so special.

Everything about this hotel was and is excellent. This was the first and last hotel we looked at to book our wedding and from the minute we walked through the doors and had a look around, we knew this was the hotel for our wedding.
All the staff were friendly and very helpful from the time we booked right up to our wedding day. The food was lovely and served with great efficiency.
The function room is not too big which means your guests are all within focus on the day, its very classy in style and looked fab on the day when we added our own touches.

I can't rate the Conyngham Arms highly enough. From the first moment dealing with them they have been nothing but friendly and accommodating and helpful. Everything about the place was perfect and just what we were looking for. Because the hotel is small enough it means they can close the whole place and make it exclusively yours for the event. I really loved how the garden and sitting room were just off the main reception room, the Lavender Suite, which meant that guests could be in other places during the dancing but still feel connected and not be too far away from the action. The place is decorated in a very classic and elegant way and I love that the chairs were pretty enough to not need chair covers! With the decor so classic as a crafty bride it was perfect for me, I was able to to add my own personal handmade touches that worked really well against the existing backdrop of the rooms. And Ruth and all the team were very understanding helping me bring everything from the car into the hotel the week of the wedding and setting everything up so that it looked even better than how I imagined it! There was a wonderful amount of light in the main room as well and you were never far from fresh air with the garden connected. The staff couldn't have been more helpful both in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself. All the guests commented on how excellent the staff were from the wait staff right up to the management. The kitchen were very accommodating as well, as I am coeliac I requested a few adaptations to make things gluten free and they had no problem adapting for me and everything was delicious! The rooms are fabulous! I like the fact that all the rooms are done to such a high standard that there is no specific bridal suite as such, they are all beautifully decorated and finished and furnished. One of the things that really sold it for us choosing the Conyngham Arms was when they told us that they source a lot of the produce locally either from their own gardens or from local suppliers, I really appreciated that. I also loved the beautiful soaps and toiletries from the Handmade Soap Company, also a local producer. As I said I cannot rate the hotel and staff highly enough, everyone there contributed to making it a really special and memorable day for both of us, seamless and perfectly orchestrated so we didn't need to fuss about anything. Thanks to Trish, Eve, Ruth and David and all the team at the Conyngham Arms for an amazing day and a really amazing celebration to remember!

We had such a wonderful experience dealing with the conyngham arms in the preparation stages and of course on the day of the wedding. Nothing was too big of an ask for David the manager he truly was amazing. Head chef killian also went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect. All of the staff were also so friendly. I cannot recommend the conyngham arms highly enough.we had both our wedding ceremony and reception there. It truly was amazing in all aspects from classy decor to Michelin star food. It is a day we will always remember . Thank you David, killian and staff for giving us our fairy tale wedding.

?Myself and Mark booked our wedding with Gillian in the Conyngham Arms early January 2013. Ever since we booked the wedding, we felt at ease, as all the staff have been friendly and accommodating. Mark and I got married last Friday 27th September 2013, the hotel looked wonderful and the food was fabulous. Most importantly the staff were excellent, I would go back in a heartbeat for any function. We thoroughly enjoyed the day, the garden was beautiful in the sun and the Lavender Suite was so pretty.?Thank you to Gillian, Carol, Maria, Michelle and all the staff, you made our day even more special.?
