How did you meet and get engaged?
We are from the same town.

Describe your wedding:
We kept it fresh, classic and simple. We wanted to give a nod to the island as we got married there so added shell details to invites and table plan with touches of gold to modernise it.

Tell us about your bridal look:
My dress is from Tony Ward. I tried it on in New York in the famous Say Yes to the Dress boutique and then got it custom made and shipped over.

What did your bridesmaids wear?
They wore blush sequinned dresses

What was your ceremony like?
It was a Catholic ceremony on Arranmore Island with a priest who is a family friend. My dad’s mum is originally from this island so it was very special to get married there.

Tell us about your wedding venue:
We had our drinks reception in a pub called Phil Bans which is located right on the beach on the island. We served fresh seafood and had traditional music playing. Then we all got a ferry back to a beautiful hotel in Dungloe called the Waterfront Hotel and had our evening reception there.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding day?
Traveling over on the ferry with my parents and bridal party. The sun was shining and my veil was blowing in the wind. All we could see was the sea and it was so so exciting knowing that on my next journey I would be coming back with my husband Josh.

Have you got any advice for other couples?
Just enjoy, don’t sweat the small stuff and be true to yourself and what makes you happy as a couple.
