“A June wedding, we had a bit of rain in the morning and chose to move the ceremony indoors. The sun came out around noon so everything was dry and sunlit by the time the drinks reception started. Of course, we also got the gorgeous daylight until 10:30pm. We kept to a sage green and dusty pink colour scheme and sprinkled some wildflower design throughout our signage, without doing too much so the florals weren’t overpowering. We told our suppliers that we were looking to achieve a whimsical, fairy-tale, ethereal wedding (and we think we did just that!)”
Sarah and Colin planned their wedding all the way from the United States, but said ‘I Do’ in beautiful Ireland. They wanted the wedding to be full of surprises for their guests, as well as simple and elegant. They selected flowers that were mainly white, with soft hints of pink. The day itself was full of activities, like live musicians, fireworks, saxophone player and Irish dancers.
Your wedding bouquet is more than just a beautiful arrangement – it’s a symbol of love, celebration, and one of the most important days of your life. While the flowers may naturally fade with time, there are stunning and meaningful ways to preserve your bouquet and turn it into a cherished keepsake.
“We got the end of the heatwave in April so had a lovely bright day for our ceremony and drinks receptions. Taking advantage of the beautiful gardens of the Barn. Our amazing florist, Aoife, from Harvest Blooms created beautiful boho and whimsical flower arrangements for us. The Village Barn has such a wonderful decor already we didn’t really need to add any additional decor which meant less stress for us in the build up!”
Caoimhe embraced a romantic and elegant autumnal theme, blending lush greenery with soft white and ivory florals throughout the décor. The ceremony space featured warm wood paneling, fairy lights, and cascading foliage, creating a magical woodland atmosphere indoors. Bridesmaids wore deep purple dresses, adding a rich seasonal contrast to the overall palette, while table settings were adorned with crystal glassware, vintage-inspired candle holders, and classic white linens.

They celebrated with an intimate group of 13 close family members, including a few special cameos from their puppy Zola and Lisa’s nephew Max.
Astrid and Dougie describe their wedding as romantic and very easy going. There was no dress code for the guests to keep everything relaxed and informal. Astrid hand selected the decor herself and had the help of the venue to arrange the flowers and a few more decor items.
Once they got engaged, Hayley and Steven set their wedding date for 31st October, and began planning their Halloween wedding! “I always knew I wanted an autumn wedding as we both love those deep autumn colours. We were able to incorporate different shades of green between Cian’s groom suit, the bridesmaid dresses and accent these with gorgeous dried flowers that brought in some taupe and burgundy. One of the reasons we chose Boyne Hill House is because of the gorgeous surroundings – you don’t need to add to many more elements when the trees and gardens surrounding the venue are already so beautiful!”
“We had a fabulous winter wedding, not a drop of rain but a really crisp cold day. We chose black tie for the groomsmen and black velvet dresses for the bridesmaids. I kept our flowers with a white theme, gyp for the bridesmaids and flower girls, white roses and gyp for the bride and white cherry blossoms and arch for the church.”
