How did you meet and get engaged?

We met in Nando’s and as I was walking in Liam was walking out, he was walking out as it was a 45-minute wait for food which I shortly found out. We both found ourselves in a restaurant next door. Me and my friend had to wait 5 minutes for a table and in that time, Liam had asked the waiter to sit us next to their table… smooth? – It took us 4 months of texting to finally meet up but not long after that we were dating, and it didn’t take long for me to move in with Liam.

We got engaged on a group holiday with all my family and family friends in Vegas in the roof top restaurant the stratosphere – it was perfect!

Describe your wedding: White, Gold, Sparkle and a touch of blush pink. I wanted everything to look crisp, glamorous and elegant.

Tell us about your bridal look:

So the dress….. I bought a dress very soon after we put our deposit down on the venue. My dad drove me 4 hours to pick it up and after about 3 /4 weeks I decided I didn’t like it anymore and found another one I fell in LOVE with. Of course, I couldn’t tell my dad. I then found the perfect dress… it was everything I didn’t want when I was first looking but it’s true what they say… you always go for something you didn’t expect yourself to go for. The dress I ended up with was lace, backless and the longest train I’ve ever seen which seemed like a good idea at the time ha ha.

Hair & Make up – I decided to go for Hollywood waves which looked amazing. My makeup wasn’t too heavy, but it was a little more than natural.

What did your bridesmaids wear?

They were bespoke dresses by an online fashion brand called Jeffrey boutique – I designed them with help from the girls there, and they were perfect. They were stone coloured silk touch fabric with a low back and front and a train to tie in with mine.

What was your ceremony like?

My ceremony was on a beach lake. As soon as I saw the venue, I fell in love with it. We had clear Perspex chairs for our guests and 6 Perspex pedestals on the aisle with tall glass cylinders and our tall flower arrangements on them. The ceremony structure, designed by Weddngs by Rebecca, was clear Perspex too with orchids and other flowers along the top and flowers cascading down the edges it was breathtaking – everything I ever dreamt of all thanks to my amazing wedding planners Algarve weddings by Rebecca.

Tell us about your wedding venue: My wedding venue was in a place called Casa Do Lago in Portugal. Everything was outdoors – Ceremony, Cocktails, Dinner and the after party. All the palm trees were lit up and night all 13 tables had lots of candles on them to create a romantic feel. When it got dark the sky lit up the most amazing purple colour and blew us away.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding day?

I remember being told to take a few minutes to stand back and look at all my family and friends enjoying themselves and at the wedding I have planned for so long, I’m so glad I did this.

Have you got any advice for other couples?

Just enjoy every moment – don’t stress about the small things, you’ll never get to do it again.
