Sophisticated glamour and opulent elegance were the words on everyone’s lips when bridal design house Justin Alexander showcased their array of Spring 2016 collections at Barcelona Bridal Week earlier this month. From Sincerity, Signature, Sweetheart and Justin Alexander’s namesake line came a cavalcade of ultra glam and timeless wedding dresses, where dramatic skirts and bold beading adorned classic silhouettes. Feminine 1950s glamour was noted as the premier inspiration for the overall offering, as was the idea of the princess bride. Head Designer Tony Mentel told Barcelona Bridal Week, “The collection showcases royally opulent custom beading on figure flattering styles in luxurious fabrications that perfectly marry the idea of a romantic fairytale wedding.”
Swarovski embellished illusion backs and necklines, figure hugging fit-and-flares and fully beaded bodices are some of the stand-out features of the Sincerity collection, while two-dimensional appliqués and lavish lace motifs showcased the attention-to-detail that makes Justin Alexander one of the most recognised bridal designers around the world.
