We couldn't be happier with Blacktye as our wedding band. We had Darragh and his band mates play our ceremony, reception, and evening music. They were brilliant, really good with the crowd. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a fun, upbeat band !

Wedding Night
We booked the live band+DJ package. As a band they did an excellent job getting everyone involved during the live band session. They were energetic, engaging, and really interacted with the crowd, which created a fantastic atmosphere.
However, the area that let the experience down was the DJ set at the end of the evening. While a playlist had been provided, it felt like very little effort went into the DJ’ing itself. The DJ spent most of the time sitting on his phone while the music played on Spotify, rather than reading the room, mixing tracks, or helping to keep the energy going. We even saw him yawning at some stage (which we found very sad) although the wedding ended at 12 am. A more engaged approach would have made a big difference.

Excellent Band!
Blacktye are such an incredible band. They had everyone up on the floor and dancing the entire night! Darragh was so helpful answering all of our questions in the run up. They played an excellent selection of songs and played any requests we had as well. Get this band for your wedding, you won't regret it!

Amazing!
We had blacktye wedding band for our wedding and they were incredible. They had everyone up dancing and were so interactive which was brilliant. There was a song for everyone young or old everyone is still raving about them! We would recommend them 1000%

Could not be happier with Blacktye and the performance at our wedding! Great set, great craic and good laughs all round. We had guests from all over the world at our wedding and the evening music was a highlight for all of them. 10/10 - Would 100% reccomend them.

Brilliant entertainment from start to finish
BlackTye were brilliant and we were delighted with the feedback from family and friends who all loved them too!
The afternoon duo set up the day nicely keeping our guests entertained and the dance floor was full all night with the band brilliant and engaging with the crowd and even allowing some of them sing (badly!)
Darragh was a pleasure to deal with when organising and everything went smoother than we could have hoped!

Blacktye were brilliant from start to finish to deal with. We went to their showcase and loved their energy and felt they'd be a brilliant addition to our wedding, we were not wrong. They kept the dancefloor full all evening and gave my sister a very special memory by allowing her to sing with the band, we'll never forget it. Logistically Darragh was brilliant to deal with and a complete pro. My husband and I have very different music taste from each other but somehow they kept everyone happy and having a great time. We're so grateful to the whole band for a brilliant evening

Blacktye are just amazing. Darragh is so good to deal with and was so good at responding before the wedding and nothing was a bother. They covered our ceremony, drinks, band and DJ. All of our guests praised the music. The dancefloor was full all night and the band really read the crowd to perfection which was excellent. They were just brilliant and so many of our guests have asked about them since. We would highly recommend to any couple for their wedding to look at Blacktye. Thanks again to you all.

There aren't enough words to describe how amazing Blacktye are, they did our ceremony music, drinks reception music, band and DJ and wow they really knocked it out of the park! Darragh is great to deal with and each band member was as talented as the last. They had the dance floor full all night and even threw in a few surprises which went down so well. They even played a few waltzes for the older guests which was really appreciated. Thank you so much our wedding wouldn't have been the same without ye and for anyone considering Blacktye for their wedding just book them, you won't regret it!

Unquestionably, Blacktye was an absolute hit at the wedding! The dance floor was buzzing all night long with delighted guests, Lutz and I thoroughly enjoyed the band's unbelievable performance. Darragh took our booking at short notice as our previous band had to cancel due to a double-booking. He completely put us at ease, and was excellent with his communication with us in the lead up. Doireann and the Scottish male vocalist (can't remember his name, sorry) were brilliant and great craic! They catered especially well for a range of ages, aunties and uncles were delira before they kicked into our own faves. Thanks so much!

We never got a chance to see you at one of your showcases but we knew you?d be incredible and you were so easy and pleasant to deal with, nothing was a problem.

The band is such an important part of your wedding day, and we could not be happier we choose Blacktye. Leading up to the day Darragh was a pleasure to work with, and touched base to make sure we were happy with the playlist and first dance song. On the night of the wedding Blacktye were amazing, the dance floor was packed all night, and they were very engaging throughout the night. Days/weeks later we are still hearing from our guests how amazing the band were!

The performance was spectacular with an excellent set list that had the guests on the dance floor all night (and up on stage with the band a few times)

Blacktye are an incredible band! We had such a fun wedding thanks to them. They made the evening for us. Darragh was a delight to work on our wedding with and made everything straightforward and simple. We ended up requesting our first dance song 2 weeks before the big day and he was very calm about it letting us know they?d be able to do it no problem. The band performed it perfectly! On the day they instigated a dance-off between the bridesmaids, the best man and a couple other guests! It was such a fun evening and all of our guests commented on how much they loved the band. We can't recommend Blacktye enough ? nothing was too much trouble and we didn't stop dancing til 2am!

We booked Blacktye for our wedding on 30th October and had the most fantastic experience with them. They got everyone up from their seats and involved which was great fun. I particularly loved the bridesmaids and groomsmen dance off. They are really talented and such great entertainers. We booked them for our drinks reception through to the DJ so the whole thing was seamless and flowed easily. The set up was quick and they even shared a microphone with my husband when he wanted to sing his speech! I highly recommend them to any couples looking for a fun and lively band on their special day.

We had Black Tye for our wedding. We got the drinks reception, band and dj. The drinks reception instrumental was relaxing and perfect for our guests as we wanted to leave the band singing for the main event. The band had the dance floor full all night long. We had Blacktye for our reception and we loved it. Darragh was great to deal with from the start and always quick to call back or email. We were lucky that this was the date we picked from the start so there was no change but Darragh maintained communication throughout.
On the night of the wedding, they had everyone entertained young and old. The dancefloor was full all night and everyone the next day was complimenting the band.

The band were just phenomenal, the dance floor never emptied with songs to suit every taste. From fantastic suits, plenty of humour and unbelievable talent , Blacktye were fantastic. They are great to deal with too and such a nice bunch of people. Our guests and us had a great night. Thank you for being part of our special day!

Blacktye were recommended to us by a family member and we were delighted we went with them for our wedding! We got them for our reception and DJ and they had everyone up dancing all night. They were really interactive on the night, and played anything we asked for, even rapping gangsta's paradise which was personal highlight! Darragh was a pleasure to deal with, and would recommend them without hesitation if you?re looking to get everyone up partying.

Blacktye were a really great wedding band and really flexible and accommodating we had to change dates from 2020 to 2021. They had the dance floor full from start to finish and learnt our first dance song with only weeks to go to our wedding. They also stepped in last minute to do our ceremony music too which was a really wonderful addition to our outdoor ceremony on the cliffs of Moher? overall, a very talented group of musicians with a great manager in Darragh!

Wow!! There aren't enough superlatives to describe this band. From the planning stage with Darragh, the emails and phonecalls- changing dates twice and venue, nothing was a problem - to the day, they were amazing. We had them perform our ceremony music which they performed perfectly.....even with our not so mainstream songs....and the afters they lit the place up! We had a great mix of music tastes at the wedding and they catered for all, from a waltz to Beastie Boys!
They really can play anything and Darragh really knows how to read the crowd to keep feet on the dancefloor.
They were so good the crowd asked us to get them to play on longer, which they did despite being over 4 hours from home. Even with only 25 guests they really made the night amazing and kept the dancing going all night....even my uncle in his 70s got going for Jump Around!! ???? The vocals and musical talent is unbelievable and it felt like we were at a concert! All the guests were asking us who the band were and we are still getting texts praising them and asking how we found them.
Darragh also did the DJ set and literally played anything we wanted.
Cannot recommend these guys enough.....if you're getting married BOOK THEM.

Hands down the best wedding band I've ever seen, Blacktye are very talented, energetic and dynamic musicians.
They played at our ceremony, reception and for the evening and the range of songs that they could play was incredible. We asked for a very specific song for walking down the aisle and they pulled it off with ease. It sounded amazing, exactly like the original song.
I was so impressed with Darragh's professionalism throughout, he was incredibly supportive and went over and above to help us during a very uncertain and at times challenging period (organising a wedding during COVID-19), that really meant a lot to us.
Blacktye kept everyone on the dance floor for the entire night and somehow managed to get the whole wedding party into a conga line - which was definitely one of the most memorable moments of the night.

Hey Darragh, as we're back in Seattle now I just wanted to send a quick note to thank you for everything! You had an incredibly tough week and still managed to come to Cork and make our day.
The First dance was great, apparently we looked incredibly focused, our dance teacher would kill us lol.
I also liked how you spotted when we were teaching Irish dancing and put on Riverdance, nice!

What can I say, these guys absolutely rocked it. There really are no words to describe how great Darragh and the guys were, with amazing remixes right through to how they managed to get the grasp of our crowd from the get go - that was seriously impressive. These guys honestly made the day and we were completely worn out from the (horrific!) dancing (sorry you had to witness that!) - our muscles are still sore to this day...
We have had so many people asking us who the band were and for contact numbers/details which we have happily passed on. There are a couple of Scottish ones that have been asking do they travel too...!
All in all, what a day made by the best band & DJ ever. So thank you guys for making it one hell of a party! Will 100% be getting them booked again - with a series of 30th birthdays coming up we'll no doubt be having Blacktye at the helm.
Thanks again to the whole band - honestly blown away and couldn't recommend them enough!

So many of our guests commented on how fantastic you were and were so impressed with Kim and Tobi's voices. Black Tye was such a great addition to our wedding day. They kept people on the floor all night and all of our guests complimented us on our choice. They were very flexible in incorporating the songs we requested and doing our first dance song. We also had them DJ after and that was loads of fun. Definitely an amazing band to have at any wedding.

Blacktye were absolutely brilliant.
The amount of people including myself that had to look up at different stages to see if they we?re actually singing or if ye were kidding us all by putting on an amazing pre recorded version was crazy. And that's a testament to the quality that ye displayed and I'm sure continue to display.
Kept everybody entertained throughout the night and got people back on their feet straight away after the break.
Highly recommend, Darragh was excellent to deal with. Thanks again.

Blacktye were absolutely fantastic! Darragh was so friendly and helpful throughout the planning process. The band was incredible on the night and the dancefloor was never empty. All our guests raved about the band the next day and had sore legs from all the dancing! Blacktye brought fun and energy to the wedding. Highly recommend!

As the groom we just wanted to thank Darragh and Blacktye for being the perfect band and DJ for our wedding.
We had a ball. The band is unbelievable talented and versatile and were outstanding. The songs they selected and performed were perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better band or set of guys to help us celebrate and get the party started.
Darragh had a few tricks to get everyone up and dancing and the band were very accommodating of our requests.
Darragh was also great in the build up, very responsive and always available.

From the first note to the very end of the night, the energy was unreal. Having the full horn section took every song to another level, and the dancefloor was completely packed the entire evening. It literally never emptied. One of the absolute highlights of the night was the crowd participation; the band wandered into different rooms of the venue mid-song, bringing the party to everyone and getting every single guest involved. There were lovely attention to detail moments like that.
We also booked the after-hours DJ set with Darragh, which kept the momentum going seamlessly late into the night. He read the room perfectly and kept the vibe alive until the very end.
Incredible musicianship, total professionalism, and unmatched showmanship. We can’t recommend Black Tye and Darragh highly enough.
