I am a multi award winning Legal Wedding Solemniser, a Family Celebrant and an Interfaith Minister. I am Registered as a Solemniser with the HSE which means that I have the authority to legally marry you on your wedding day in your venue. I am based in County Laois and work nationwide.
I will guide you through the process of creating a bespoke ceremony with you, ensuring that it expresses your love and commitment to each other in a unique, personalised and meaningful way and reflects your beliefs and wishes, personal stories, philosophy of life, and personality. I will help make the planning through to delivery of your ceremony as stress-free and simple as possible.
As your Solemniser I will create a bespoke ceremony for you which will be modern, upbeat and yet can include traditional and ancient rituals. I will create your Ceremony in full consultation with you in order that the service includes everything you would like. Your Ceremony will be legal, bespoke, personal and bridge the gap between church, civil, spiritual or humanist; whatever type of ceremony you wish for I will make that wish come true!
I absolutely love working with couples at this exciting time in their lives and I aim to create a Ceremony which reflects your personalities, your hopes and dreams for the future and to make yours an enjoyable and stress free journey. This ensures that the atmosphere on your wedding day maintains the integrity of the commitment you are making to each other and is informal, relaxed, enjoyable, fun and something both you and your guests can look back on with fond memories for years to come. I only hold one wedding per day so you choose the time of your Ceremony and if that changes for any reason I am available.
You may wish to include personal vows, readings, ancient rituals such as handfasting, quaich, sand ceremony, ring warming/blessing, ceremony of light/Unity Candle or in 2023 and 2024 a popular one is to Jump The Broom, to name just a few. You may want a ceremony full to the brim or more low key, the choice is yours.
I have taken a vow of inclusivity and welcome diversity of gender, orientation, colour, nationality, ability and culture within the bounds of Irish law, and I have no requirement to speak about any parent organisation during your ceremony.
I offer a quality service & professional delivery, I have been creating Ceremony since 2006 and love what I do. Over the years I have held Ceremonies in hotels, castles, on Irish Islands, mountain tops, beaches and on the Cliffs of Moher. I invest my time and energy into each ceremony that I create.

Abousulty fantastic service from start to finish. Brenda wad so easy deal with.. help , advice , links. How prepare green folder. It was pleasure speak to her before the wedding. She made cermony dignified when needs be as it us solemn service. She interacted with guests. She made it personal and fun. We both felt relaxed. She also had a memento gift and card fir the day. Our guests loved the cermony.we knew we were In safe hands. Nothing was too much for brenda. She asked what we wanted service and worked around that. Beyond satisfactory with brenda. Brenda was just fantastic from the very beginning when we got in touch to the very last nothing was a problem! The ceremony was just beautiful everyone is saying how good brenda was and that it was one of best wedding ceremony’s the were ever at! such a relaxed ceremony and she had everyone laughing throughout. Our ceremony was so much better than we could ever have imagined and it was all because of Brenda. Brenda made our wedding ceremony magical. Everyone is talking about how personal it was and how they have never been to a nicer ceremony and I have to agree with them even if it was mine. I have never been to a wedding ceremony where the guests have a giggle, it was amazing. Brenda guided us through the service, provided us with vows, readings, blessings and enchantments, we didn't have to worry about anything. Brenda is truly gifted at what she does. Myself and my new husband (!!) would highly recommend Brenda to anyone planning their wedding. She was so down to earth and lovely to deal with and very professional and helpful in every step along the way. From an initial call to run through everything we needed to organise, to providing extremely helpful resources for for selecting readings and vows etc. she was just wonderful.
We loved the ceremony she created based on answers to questions she gave us. It was both unexpected and beautifully woven together. We had several people comment on how lovely and intimate the ceremony was and how you could just feel the love in the room. It turned out much lovelier than we could have imagined!
Brenda also calmed the nerves quite a bit on the day with her calm demeaner and professionalism and we would just like to thank her for her for everything!

Brenda was absolutely amazing from start to finish! She was responsive over email and had video calls to get to know us in advance, she provided everything we needed for our sand ceremony our unity candles and our hand tying. All our friends and family couldn't believe how personal Brenda made the ceremony. Brenda created a gorgeous ceremony for our wedding. She created such a fun atmosphere - we didn't expect to be applauded up the isle on entrance! - and that really helped take the nerves off. No detail was spared - from her beautiful table set-up to her kind and thoughtful words in telling our story and guiding us through the whole ceremony, everything was top class. Our friends and families were so complimentary of the ceremony (lots of happy tears shed!), even those who had their doubts about a non-religious ceremony beforehand. Everyone who took part in the ceremony felt really comfortable, as Brenda ensured they were all taken care of. Brenda really made it a beautiful occassion for us and we cannot thank her enough! Not only was Brenda an amazing celebrant, she even came to the rescue in the ladies with a spray to help re-set the makeup!

One word - magnificent! From Day 1 when we spoke with Brenda she just gave us that confidence and passion that made us feel like she was definitely the right person to marry us. We spoke regularly - and the attention to detail was second to none.
On our Wedding Day Brenda had us both at ease - she kept Gavin calm even with the delays of Sarah and she then guided the whole ceremony from start to finish - when Gavin was to turn to look at his Bride, to the mother's lighting the candle!
Only after the Wedding Day, did Sarah's mam tell us she lost her buttonhole flower and Brenda improvised and made up a new one on the spot from the ceremony flowers.
Brenda was an absolute star!

There aren't enough words to say what an amazing ceremony we had and it was all down to Brenda! Even now almost 4 weeks after people are still texting us asking for her name. She made it so personal and fun! It was exactly what we wanted and even our guests said they learned more about us ! We booked Brenda for our wedding from her already great reviews and we?re so glad we did. It was important to us that our celebrant could legally marry us on the day so it was fantastic Brenda could do this for us. She was brilliant to deal with from start to finish. She made our ceremony so personal and beautiful. 3 couples who were guests at our wedding have asked us for her details as they are planning their own weddings and said they have never been to a wedding ceremony like it before. We have 2 children and Brenda did a brilliant job of including them in our ceremony and everyone thought it was beautiful. We could contact her as much as we needed to and she guided us thought every step of the process. I wanted my nephew/godson to do a blessing for us and Brenda said it was no problem to include him. We honestly enjoyed every part of our ceremony and was even better than we thought it would be. We would highly recommend Brenda.

We had the joy of Rev. Brenda marrying us on 23 of March 2023. From the very beginning we had a video call to meet, then a private questionnaire each to share our stories with her. This made for an amazing ceremony as she had gotten an idea of us as a couple entering married life. Brenda is extremely professional, had everything she needed to be organised for the day and even set up the ceremony table for us! An absolute pleasure to deal with and the week before the big day we had a final video call to do a quick run through. We felt very secure with Brenda that our ceremony would go smoothly, and it did! What can I say about Brenda, other than from start to finish, Brenda took away any stress and anxiety that we both had. What a lady and pleasure to work with from planning right through to I do! Brenda made sure to understand and listen to us and our wedding planner Samantha on every detail of what we were trying to achieve, told us what would and might not work, which we were delighted with as you can be sometimes over ambitious so you need that expert advice. We had the pleasure of meeting Brenda three years ago when we booked the date for your wedding she went through everything we would need and what she could do , straight away we clicked and was happy to have found her, then COVID 19 hit and we had to change the dates 5 times but we finally on April 30 2022 we got married and the Rev Brenda did such a great job from the way she set up such detail and because she took some time to talk to me and Tatyana before the wedding she had a lovely personalised ceremony for us we picked the sand ,binding of the hands, lighting of the candles and she had a extra one we didn't even know about. Well what can I say rev brenda o grady done an amazing job from start to Finnish.
Our wedding had been put of with covid and brenda carried ot forward for us.
We had to do out questionnaires and it was amazing it felt like brenda had been part of our lives forever.
Everyone who attended our wedding said it was the best ceremony they've ever seen. We had a few different ceremony we hand hand tieing st Patrick's bell and the sand it was all done so well brenda even joined in on our team of having a paddys day wedding and wore green.
Such a lady I 100 percent recommend you choose brenda as you will not regret it.

Brenda stepped in to conduct our ceremony the day before due to unforeseen circumstances and everyone at our wedding commented on how beautiful the ceremony was?even though she had limited time with us as a couple.
She went above and beyond to make sure our ceremony flowed well, incorporated everything we wanted and added in some lovely touches to enhance the ceremony itself and the ceremony space.

During our initial conversation she ran through the running order for the ceremony itself. This included ideas around readings, periods of reflection, places for musical interludes and specific ceremonies such as a sand ceremony, handfasting and ceremony of light.
We were then sent material for readings and vows as well as a questionnaire to fill out which allowed Brenda to create a very personalized celebrant address for the day.
Once we had made decisions on the various parts of the ceremony we were then sent a draft of the ceremony. There were no issues with making amendments to suit our needs and Brenda was very keen on including family and friends during the ceremony itself.

Brenda was so easy to deal with and develop a rapport with from our initial contact. Brenda provided a broad framework with lots of ideas from which to build our bespoke ceremony. Brenda was flexible on the day as we were unsure how much our children would engage with the ceremony. Organising times to meet virtually with Brenda was always easy so many of our guests on the day commented on how personal and meaningful the ceremony was.

Brenda carried out a beautiful personal and warm ceremony that all guests enjoyed and commented on afterwards. It was the highlight of our day and something we will look back on fondly for years to come. We could not recommend her highly enough. Nothing was a problem when organising the ceremony and she offered advice and reassurance when most needed. The sand ceremony involving our two children really made it special.

From the first day I rang Brenda and spoke with her on the phone I knew she would do a beautiful service. It was obvious this was more than just a job to her and she really cared about what we wanted. We have 3 small children and she included them throughout the entire ceremony. Any questions I had in the lead up to the wedding were answered quickly and nothing was an issue. So many of our guests came to me afterwards and commented on what a beautiful ceremony it was and how lovely Brenda was. I would not hesitate in recommending her for your ceremony. Brenda was really easy to deal with. I could contact her by email, facebook or whatsapp which was really helpful when trying to organise a wedding and work full time. She was open to any changes we wanted to make and really helped us personalise our ceremony. Everyone at our wedding mentioned how lovely and personal the ceremony was. It can be daunting organising your ceremony and worrying about how it all goes on the day but Brenda is an excellent celebrant, the ceremony just flowed and she gave everyone the right cues when needed so we all knew what we were doing on the day!

There were some really romantic pieces in the ceremony along with some lighter moments that had the room full of laughter. Brenda went above and beyond for our wedding ceremony. We only gave her about 3 weeks notice but she pulled everything together and we definitely didn't feel like we missed out because of the short notice. Our ceremony was relaxed, intimate, special to us and was about us, our relationship and our future together. We included the wine / love letters, handfasting, unity candle & exchange of coins. Also 2 readings and our own vows. We also got to keep a copy of the ceremony after. Our guests commented on Brenda that they felt she was genuinely happy for us and was invested in us which was so nice to hear. I would highly recommend Brenda to a couple getting married.

Brenda was professional, accommodating and very helpful to us, despite the constraints of a pandemic. She met with us on several occasions via Zoom prior to the wedding at times convenient to us. With theses she seemed to get the essence of us. She made our day very memorable for us and our families. Some of our guests said it was the nicest ceremony they had attended. She clearly put time and effort into preparing for the day. We would have no hesitation recommending her. Thank you Brenda.

This wedding was made great by the wonderful celebrant. All the guests and the lovely couple were put at ease in a very relaxed and enjoyable ceremony. I have a couple of more weddings to attend this year so hopefully Rev. Brenda will be the celebrant at them too.

We travelled from Iowa to the beautiful Slieve Bloom Mountains for our magical wedding. Guided from start to finish by the wonderful Brenda. Our ceremony was so emotional, she captured our personalities, and truly reflected us in our ceremony. She was a fountain of knowledge about where to visit, eat, stay, local folklore, organised a great photographer, florist and as we married the harpist's tunes resounded over the misty mountains. I would do it all again tomorrow it was just magical. We are so grateful.

We had Brenda as our celebrant for our wedding day, and oh my word. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish,so Profesional yet made us feel so relaxed and chilled on our day. The lead up to our wedding she had everything in hand and it was one less thing for us to worry about. She gave us amazing choices, what we could fit into our service what would suit us the couple our family and friends, every one was in tears by the time our service was completed because our ceremony was so special and had extra little touches in it, that was down to Brenda her touches her professionalism.
She is definitely some one we would recommend to make your day so so special.
