Casa Monte Cristo - Algarve Weddings

My husband and I found CMC from an internet hunt, and set up a call with the CMC team shortly after. Victoria was who we met with and our point of contact from that day forward. After video meeting with Victoria, we knew this was the place due to her ability to answer all of our questions (we had a long list) with such poise and kindness. We were definitely nervous at first due to being in America and booking a venue for the most important day of our lives site unseen. Victoria reassured us and made us so confident in our process. Fast forward through all of the meticulous planning and constant communication from Victoria - which brings us to the best weekend of our lives!! We arrived the Thursday before our wedding along with the rest of our guests (CMC has enough space for all of your wedding guests to stay on property too!!) to be so taken back with the beauty of the venue. Photos and videos do no justice to how stunning the properties are. Not to mention, the location is a quick ten minute drive or Uber to the beaches and Lagos! On Friday CMC hosted our welcome dinner - which provided AMAZING pizza and a beautiful setting. Our wedding day went by without a single issue (the CMC team handled any and all things leaving us with no worries), and more beautiful than we could imagine. Victoria coordinated our florals, and decor - exceeding our expectations completely. Steve cooked the tastiest wedding food we’ve ever had, and all of our wedding guests agreed!! I can’t thank the CMC team enough for the absolutely perfect day!! Anyone thinking of booking this venue for a wedding - run do not walk to get your wedding scheduled!! You will have the most perfect day, with the most amazing team taking care of you every single step of the way. Not only did our wedding events come out perfect all of our guests had the most amazing weekend too!! We cannot recommend this venue enough - especially for those looking for their fairytale wedding venue!

We had the best wedding! Everything was perfect from start to finish. Victoria would lead us so we didn’t need to keep checking the time. She communicated with us throughout the process so we always had peace in mind. She answered all questions I had no matter how far or close the wedding was!

It's been nearly 2 weeks since we arrived at the most incredible Wedding Venue for our 4 day celebrations. Casa Monte Cristo In Lagos simply blew us away from start to finish. Victoria & Steve and their team Deliver above all expectations on every level.
Not only are the Villas Beautiful, clean & well presented inside and out, the planning and preparation that goes into their events is outstanding!

We set our trust in Victoria 20months in advance when booking our venue... and she has been there every step of the way to help and guide!
She organises everything with you, from photographer and florist recommendations, helping plan your run of the day (week), DJ & music Collaboration, and all the extra events too .. and all executed to perfection.

We booked 3 Villas, Tres, Cinco & Seis & had 40 guests.

We had a welcome Pizza Party the day before the wedding at our Villa... Tres Villa, and watched that afternoon as the gardens were transformed, we had breakfast delivered to our guest's Villas on the morning of the Wedding, Our Wedding Day & Drinks Reception at Tres Villa, & then the BBQ and Party at Wedding Land, (a fabulous purpose build Marquee area) the next morning we had a late Brunch for everyone in the Marquee too!

The food was INSANE! Steve is a genius, the BBQ is an event in itself, they catered for all our guests with no questions asked and some of them were a little tricky too! Everyone raved about the food and we all ate like Kings and Queens for the week!

Victoria is just the most amazing person, and she was there every step of the way & on the day too! She knew exactly what we needed and we didn't need to ask, she was always just there when we needed her, taking it all in and noticing the small things, but so relaxed it felt like she was part of our family!

Now I'm a Virgo, I love to plan, im a list maker, I love sharpies and I love to have everything perfect and I put my heart and soul into the planning of our wedding.... my trust with Victoria there, I didn't have to worry.... Everything was timed to perfection, everything went so smoothly and we have a 2 year old!! The whole team were incredible with our little boy too!
Nothing was too much trouble!

We could not have asked for a more perfect venue and hosts for our Wedding, and we WILL be back to celebrate future anniversaries!

My Dried Flower Bouquet & button holes were utterly beautiful from Aquaflor Florist (organised completely through Victoria) I sent in inspiration pictures and they were just perfect!

I booked Jackie at Algarve Wedding Steam Pristine To steam my dress, Veil & Boys Suits! Absolutely required after being packed on a flight! She was beautiful and wonderful and so easy to work with! Thankyou so so much! Victoria helped me hide my dress too so my bridesmaids wouldn't see it!

What made our perfect wedding was having All of our Family & Friends fly out to join us ... this was truly so special... but none of this could have been possible if we hadn't have found Casa Monte Cristo!

We recently hosted our wedding at Casa Monte Cristo, and I cannot express how perfect everything was! From start to finish, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking setting that created the perfect atmosphere for our special day.

The staff were phenomenal-friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. We felt completely taken care of, and their attention to detail made everything feel effortless.

The decor and ambiance of the venue were gorgeous, making the day feel like a dream. Every corner of the venue was beautifully arranged, and the setting made for the most beautiful backdrop for photos.

The food and drink were incredible, especially the Pizza Party on Sunday! Our guests raved about the catering, and we couldn't have been happier with the delicious variety that was offered.

In terms of planning and organisation, everything was spot on. The team at Casa Monte Cristo made the whole process feel calm and easy, which is something every couple hopes for on their wedding day! From the planning stages to the actual event, everything was seamless.

We particularly loved how painless and relaxed the entire day felt. Every aspect was handled so professionally, allowing us to simply enjoy our day without a worry.

What can I say about this amazing venue, Victoria, Steve and their amazing team.

We had our wedding there in August this year and Victoria and her team did everything and more to make our special day magical and our stay at Casa Monte Cristo as comfortable as possible.

The little touches with a box of gifts for us and bottles of Prosecco to celebrate our special day were such a great touch.

Victoria was so helpful and attentive in particular getting my ideas that I only had pictures of and implementing them into our wedding day. Always available through email leading up to the big day.

Tables were decorated beautifully and the cake was how I imagined it to be.
Little touches such as the hydration station and games corner made everyone feel so relaxed.

Not forgetting the BBQ and the rest of the food, it was so delicious and mini cakes at the end of dinner were to die for.
Food plays such an important part at any wedding and it was simply amazing.

The rooms were clean, with towels for pool and personal use. Each room had its own bathroom. Good size pool with enough sun loungers for all our guests. Personals BBQ, large tables both in and out, views of the sunset are just beautiful from the Villa’s and the wedding venue.

Wish we could do it all over again as we all had such an amazing time there and our friends and family haven’t stopped talking about it.

Highly recommend getting married at the fabulous Casa Monte Cristo.
I got married at Casa Monte Cristo in 2024 and it was a truly fantastic experience.
Victoria was on hand to answer all pre-wedding questions with swift email / WhatsApp responses, she also provided some great supplier recommendations for celebrants, musicians, etc and put us in touch with our lawyer who assisted with the legalities.
The day was perfect and each part of the day flowed into the next seamlessly.
The BBQ food was fantastic, and staff were attentive, and professional.

We had four amazing nights at the CMC Villas (IV, Cinco and Seis) and it was just PERFECT for us to be surrounded by all of our friends and family and have the wedding right there on site. The two new villas, Cinco and Seis, are stunning and all of our friends and family were so impressed with the spec of them. The actual wedding day was perfect on the ground between Cinco and Seis and everything just ran so smoothly. The views were beautiful and we were lucky to have perfect weather too. Victoria... I can't thank her enough for being on hand constantly in the run up to the day, she was so helpful and responsive. We didn't actually go and view the venue beforehand but I wasn't stressed because Victoria answered every question I had. She kept everything so well coordinated on the day too, meaning I could 100% relax and enjoy. Steve also cooks a killer BBQ, all of our guests were so impressed. Our cake was also organised by Victoria and totally ticked all of my Pintrest inspo boxes!
The Villas are about a 5-10 minute drive away from the nearest town/village but we used Ubers the full weekend and this was no bother to arrange at all.
I would totally recommend CMC to anyone thinking of getting married in the Algarve, it was perfect for us and to be able to have 4 days of wedding celebrations in such a beautiful place, was just a total winner! Thanks guys 🤍

My husband and I got married at CMC villas in early October 2023 and I do not know where to begin in expressing what a wonderful experience it was.
From our first enquiry to our departure, Victoria was absolutely outstanding. An expert in wedding planning and hospitality, her, Steve and the whole CMC team helped us bring our plans to life and we could never have imagined how phenomenal it would be.
Victoria took care of everything effortlessly, allowed us to be as involved as we wanted whilst giving honest feedback on our ideas (And we are glad we took her lead and advice at every turn!) and we felt entirely safe and comfortable in her hands. She was cool, calm and collected at all times which transferred over to us, and we were able to enjoy our time rather than stress about anything which as the bride and groom is close to unheard of!
We had the best weekend of our lives and all our friends and family were thrilled with the accommodation, the food, the whole experience. The villas are stunning, chef Steve cooks up a storm no matter what meal he is serving and the surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful.

Everything about our wedding was amazing- we couldn't have asked for anything more from Victoria and Steve.

We first came across the Casa Monte Cristo Collection about 18 months ago when looking for wedding venues in the Algarve. Straight away Victoria was easy to communicate with and gave us all the information we needed about the venue without any pressure or sales pitch!

We went out to view the venue (alongside others) and were absolutely blown away. Due to numbers in our party we opted to have our ceremony at CMC Tres. Again there was no pressure to book from Victoria but we knew no other venue we had seen compared.

Fast forward through the wedding planning and Victoria just made everything so easy and smooth! She made it so smooth that at one point I phoned her because I felt I needed to be more stressed! She made planning a Portuguese wedding from Scotland so easy and care-free, arranging stationary and flowers without a second thought and replying to my many many emails! No changes or issues were ever a bother for her - even down to the fact we increased our numbers about 3 days before the wedding!!

Onto the venue itself, we stayed with our immediate family in Tres which is honestly just the most stunning, beautiful, perfect place. Everyone's jaw dropped on arrival and it just had everything we could have possibly needed.

Our ceremony was at Tres and again our guests were all just blown away with the location with our evening party being at Cinco and again wow!! No words do this place justice! Throughout the whole day Victoria was on hand - never overbearing or bothering but just a quiet calming presence sorting things we didn't even know needed sorted!

From getting me into my dress, printing our readings, collecting our cards, getting my flowers into water - the list could go on! Put it this way - she got a shout out in my dads speech!!

The day itself was absolutely perfect! Every member of staff was beyond delightful and helpful and just the absolute best! The ceremony set up and location was dreamy, drinks were just beautiful and the evening bit was just perfect - this was all set up by Victoria and her team with legit about 3 Pinterest photos from me and it was everything I could have ever wanted!

Now onto the bbq!!! You have never tasted food this good! I can guarantee this. I think a lot of my guests had images of burnt burgers and classic British bbq but if you haven't had a Portuguese bbq then you have to and Steve's is the one to start with! Every single guest was raving about the food! I am still dreaming about the food! It's amazing! Hands down the best! Book it for this alone!!!

We then had a lovely chilled day by the pool the day after our wedding and again our guests couldn't stop raving at how beautiful it is!

Our day felt like a dream and was absolutely perfect!! Honestly don't hesitate and just book CMC now!!!

I cannot recommend Casa Monte Cristo enough! Everything was perfect! Victoria and her team go above and beyond in ensuing the wedding day runs as smoothly as possible and to ensure everyone has the best day.
The location is beautiful, you couldn't ask for a better view, especially as the sun starts to go down!
The food was gorgeous, on paper, BBQ and weddings don't sound like they belong together but the food was delicious! There was plenty of choice and lots of empty plates! Steve has perfected the BBQ and everyone was full of compliments on the food!
The staff are friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble.
Victoria was an absolute dream! She was always at the end of an email or text and everything we asked was delivered and more! She takes care of everything meaning the build up to the wedding was enjoyable and stress free, we had some last minute changes but she accommodated these with no problems!
We hired Cinco and Seis with an apartment for ourselves. The villa's are massive! Plenty of room and well equipped with everything you could want while you're away. There is more than enough room for 14 people without tripping over each other all weekend! The kitchen has everything you would need for self catering and the rooms are spacious with big comfy beds!
All in all, our wedding was perfect! Many complimenting the day saying it was the best wedding they'd been too. There is nothing I would change, I only wish I could do it all again!!

Pretty much everything about the wedding, was amazing. First of all, the venue(s) are perfect, there are staff available at all times to help out with any problems, replenish the bar, answer questions and generally keep everything tidy. Victoria was able to help with any last minute requests I had and made sure everything ran very smoothly on the actual wedding day. The communication was seamless and the wedding went exactly how we expected / wanted. The villas are beautiful and on the rare occasion there was an issue, e.g. the lights didn't work in the outdoor kitchen, Victoria was very quick to sort this out for us and called out an electrician immediately. It is the perfect venue for a villa wedding and I would recommend it in a heartbeat. The only slight and it is, very slight, "issue" is that the venue have a strict 11pm cut off time for the wedding, which we knew about and isn't a big problem, but, make sure your DJ knows the cut off time as ours claimed not to know and then didn't get to play a "last song" which made the night feel like it ended quite abruptly. Overall though, it was amazing!

We had our Wedding at Casa Monte Cristo on the 5th of May 2023, and it really was the wedding of our dreams!

We booked four villas and all of the apartments for our 60 guests + 4 children. We loved that all of the villas were located near by each other which made it possible for us to walk between them. This is what made us choose Casa Monte Cristo for our wedding. The fact that all of our guests could stay at the same place.

The villas were even more luxurious than they looked at the pictures. Everything was so clean and well maintained.

My husband and I live in Sweden and had to book and plan the whole wedding from distance using only email. We booked the venue in November 2021 and have had contact with Victoria through email since then. She has been very professional and we felt so secure with her organising everything and reminding us of details we wouldn't have thought of ourselves.

All of our guests have complimented us on the amazing villas, the location and especially the beautiful wedding day. The food was so good and we had the best DJ!

Some of our guests had rented cars but most of them used Uber or Bolt if they wanted to go to town or order some food. It was never a problem with this!

Victoria also arranged transfer to pick up19 of our guests from the airport on the same day.

We are still chocked by how great everything turned out and that we got to have our absolute dream wedding.

If you are dreaming of having a destination wedding instead of getting married in a cold country like Sweden, this is the place to book!

Casa Monte Cristo was the perfect venue for us as we wanted to be surrounded with friends and loved ones during the 4 days we were there and to have an intimate wedding. We ended up being a large group of 80 adults and kids in total but the space was ample yet cosy. Victoria was on hand for any queries and making the arrangements were so straightforward and easy. Victoria anticipated what needed doing and ensured the decision making process was as easy as possible. We communicated mainly via email but Victoria was extremely responsive. The villas are pristine and all of the guests commented on the high level of finish across all of the 4 villas we stayed in. If you?re looking for a venue that is chic, intimate, delicious food and no detail was too great of an ask, then I could not recommend Casa Monte Cristo highly enough.

This venue is the perfect place to get married - we loved the garden set-up, the views and the very relaxed atmosphere that Victoria and her team create for the days leading up to and including the Wedding Day itself. The food was amazing. The day ran so smoothly as Victoria had scheduled everything for us - we didn't have to worry about anything on the day. We loved the idea of having our family and friends stay on the grounds as close to the ceremony/reception area, which is one of the first reasons we wanted to get married at CMC, this meant we got to spend time with everyone that made the journey from Ireland for our wedding celebration.

Everyone called me crazy booking & planning a wedding fully online, without seeing the venue or meeting the planner. I went with my adventurous gut feeling and just booked it anyways, after a few emails exchanged with Victoria and I don't regret it one single bit. Victoria was on point with her communication, kept me honest and kept me organized. She reminded me of the things I shouldn't forget, and God knows I didn't think of half of the items she called out. Victoria & Steven delivered a beautiful wedding day, with delicious and finger-licking food. They were so accommodating in finding us a 'halal' butcher, as well as switching the hors-d'oeuvres over to Portuguese 'salgados'. We would throw our wedding all over again with Victoria & Steven. As a final note, I would even add that I have some of the people that are looking to book their holiday at CMC for next summer! A huge thanks to Victoria & Steven, you've been absolutely amazing!

We stayed in Casa Monte Cristo Tres for a week and during our stay hosted our wedding in this stunning villa. All I can say is, WOW. Victoria was so so helpful from the day I enquired about the booking. She recommended some really great vendors, and she helps with so much of the planning. It made everything so relaxing. I was a bit nervous not knowing how my flowers would look as she organised this, but I was so so pleasantly surprised they were the most beautiful flowers I could have ever hoped for. She was so lovely to work with to make the day how we want and she gave us so many tips and checked in with us on the day. She was constantly rushing around doing something and it made the day just so much easier. She never got sick of me either when I would ask a hundred questions in a row! We had so many compliments on the food too, oh my god it was amazing! Everything tasted delicious and everyone went up for seconds it was so tasty! Especially the sausages! The villa itself is stunning! We didn't visit it before booking so we only seen it the day we landed in Portugal for the wedding and we were blown away with how amazing it was. It was so spacious and even when we had guests around there was still so much space for everyone we were never cramped. All of the staff at the villa are so lovely too they always had a smile on their face and would always say hello. I already can't wait to come back for a visit we have had so many people say the villa wedding was like a fairytale and we can't thank Victoria, Steve and their team enough for everything they have done.

Victoria and her team at Casa Monte Cristo are the ultimate in professionalism but they are also so down to earth and they listen to what you want, they were a dream to work with and made our special day perfect. Victoria is well connected and everything I needed help with (such as finding an English speaking priest and make-up artist familiar with brown skin) she was able to advise or assist me with. The food was delicious and plentiful and the set up was gorgeous, our table decor was so classy and elegant it just completed the picture. The views of the sea from the balcony of the villa are astounding and provide the perfect backdrop. If you are looking for a stunning venue with an experienced wedding planner then look no further! I highly recommend theCMC Tres team, there are not enough stars to award them for what they did.

We had an incredible 4 days here for our beautiful wedding day! Amazing views and food and beautiful grounds!! The days was spectacular and blew away all of our guests!!! Victoria and the Team are lovely and would highly recommend!!

Steve's cooking was amazing. Everyone commented on the food on the wedding day. It really was so tasty and well presented. And the live cooking added to the wow factor! The breakfasts were great and again everyone commented on how well prepared and arranged it was.

The villas themselves were so clean, and comfortable and everyone was impressed with them from the moment they arrived. We stayed in Casa Monte Cristo Cinco and Seis with the rest of the wedding party. The accommodation was to an excellent standard with all the amenities you could need. The wedding day itself ran seamlessly and the food was enjoyed by all and very apt for the hot weather. Nothing was too much trouble and whether it was helping less mobile guests down to the venue on the buggy or helping transfer luggage direct to the doors of the villa, everything was done to make our guests feel welcome. Although we saw cheaper venues when looking for a wedding location, the level of service and the fact that guests could stay on site for a long weekend completely justifies the price which we considered good value for money. We would strongly recommend anyone considering a wedding in Portugal to consider this venue.

We had our wedding here in September - in the midst of covid with so much uncertainty and worry. All I can say is I put my full trust in Victoria and it more than paid off. The villas are phenomenal. We had a very mixed group (in terms of age and the fact that everyone has their individual taste and style) and every single person was over the moon. From the cleanliness of the villas to the facilities available, we were astounded by the quality. It's always a risk booking your wedding online but we're so happy it paid off, all I can say is Victoria and Steve know what they're doing. The food was out of this world - as a vegan I know I can be tricky - and they went over and above to accommodate us! The villas all have their own personality - guaranteed you'll find the style to suit you. We're so delighted by the villas but we're more appreciative of the fantastic service from the second we arrived!! We wouldn't hesitate to book again (in fact I've told Victoria we'll be back!)

The standards of both villas were exceptional, the food was insane and even the fact Victoria saved the day by putting together a wedding guest book because I'd forgotten to bring one (thank you again, Victoria).

We had the most unbelievable time and cannot recommend the CMC collection and team enough. We are beyond happy with the memories we've created and cannot wait to revisit your stunning Villas in the future.

We know we didn't plan to have a silent disco but it seems we got the last laugh on COVID-19, as we ended up having the best time seeing all our loved ones bopping around with headphones, singing their hearts out all night (honestly, hearing how badly we all sang made it hilarious).

We've had several of our guests say they thought the silent disco was one of their highlights and that they felt it made it even better as it made it different... not many can say they've been to a silent disco at a wedding before!

The equipment Victoria and the team had for the headphones made the experience amazing, the quality of the music and sound meant you were really in the moment and amplified the music we loved.

Nearly a year on and we're still talking about how amazing the team, facilities, views, hospitality, service and overall time at CMC was.

All of the villas are beautifully decorated, spacious, clean with stunning views and have everything you'd need. I loved that we were able to provide self-contained apartments to the older generation (and families with kids) which meant they were able to get away from the bridal party who wanted to dance the night away in the main villa. It was honestly the perfect balance!

I'd also like to say throughout the planning process and on the big day, Victoria really kept me (the bride) calm which wasn't easy with the stresses of COVID-19 and having to get all our guests tested as well as regulations constantly changing (hence the silent disco). But Victoria just kept positive and confident which in turn kept me calm and hopeful that everything would work out in the end, which it absolutely did and exceeded our expectations.

I highly suggest you take Victoria's recommendations when it comes to other vendors like DJs, photographers and videographers etc - they were all exceptional and clearly love working with the CMC team because the day ran so smoothly.
