Ceili Cottage - Trad Music & Irish Dancers

Myself and my partner had our wedding in the garden area of the Strawberry Hall Pub. We booked Céilí Cottage (three piece) for our drinks reception as guests arrived at the venue.

I dealt with Courtney over email who replied straight away and was a dream to deal with. The band were all there on time as promised with zero issues. They were absolutely amazing and all our guests were raving about them.

Our only issue is the fact we didn't get a chance to sit down for the two hours and enjoy the music more!!!

Would highly recommend them for any wedding or event you may have. Couldn't fault them whatsoever.

They really added to the day and helped make is one to remember.

I cannot recommend Courtney and Ceili Cottage band enough! Courtney was our gorgeous violin player during the ceremony and made this event even more beautiful. She is so talented, professional and organised. Her music is so Devine and she didn’t not hesitate to learn few new tunes for us too. Ceili Cottage played at our drinks reception and have created such an amazing vibe for everyone! We are so happy we booked them for our wedding, it wouldn’t have been as magical without them!

Courtney, Tim and Ciaran were amazing!!! Highly recommend them to anyone getting married. We were so delighted with our ceremony music especially and all of our guests were so complimentary of it too, they played so beautifully. Everyone loved the song choices that were so personal to us and the guys played everything we requested and offered to learn new music just for the occasion if we wanted, which we really appreciated!!

We booked Ceili Cottage for our day 2 to get the energy up after the wedding day. I gave them the wedding date not the day after. Even after giving the wrong date they still provided a two piece for us. They were brilliant and really got the energy back up for day 2. We have some lovely videos of the family dancing. We had Ceili Cottage perform at both our wedding and our Day 2 celebration, and they were fantastic! The group is incredibly talented and very accommodating. Courtney was especially helpful in the lead-up to the wedding, ensuring everything went smoothly.

I’m from the USA and got married in Bray. Needless to say - finding a band in a foreign country is overwhelming. Finding a band that fits the vibe of the wedding is even more overwhelming.

We came upon Ceili Cottage and I was put at ease. They were so communicative, forthcoming with what they can offer and how they can mend to your style, and they also had an Instagram/ samples to share.

If you don’t hear their samples and immediately see and hear incredible talent - I would be quite surprised but I’m writing this to share that beyond the sample, they were hands down the most talented band I’ve heard.

They played soft music for our entry/ exit from the ceremony and then played our cocktail hour with fun pop/ rock songs combined with traditional Irish music. Our crowd was up on their feet immediately and didn’t stop. Everyone kept saying, “Those musicians are awesome!”, “His voice was great.”, “I can’t believe that they played x for us.”

Lastly, I was sitting at my reception and the band came and found me long after they were finished to congratulate me. I will never forget how thoughtful they were.

I wish they lived closer to me because I would hire them over and over.

My daughter got married at Killruddery House and Gardens and Ceili Cottage played for our cocktail reception. Since we live in the U.S., Courtney was so easy to communicate with and they exceeded our expectations. The band is incredible. Very versatile play list and everyone loved them. The day of the wedding they were punctual, friendly and professional. We had wanted a lively trad session and got exactly what we wanted. All out guests really enjoyed the music! I'd have no problem recommending them to anyone looking for day 2 music.

Courtney was fantastic to deal with and booking them in was a great experience.
They sounded incredible and all our guests were raving about the fantastic singing, guitar and fiddle playing. The set was perfect for a crowd that likes trad as an easy listening Day two genre.
They even invited me up to sing with them, which made the whole experience even better.

Everyone agreed it really set up the mood for the night and was the perfect party starter so thank you so so much for that! They honestly have not stopped singing your praises! We had Ceili Cottage play for our ceremony in October and just WOW. They were absolutely incredible, they made the music flow perfectly throughout our ceremony and everyone at the wedding was talking about them. Courtney was an absolute pleasure to deal with, even requesting a very old family known melody was not too much trouble. Unbelievable talent and super easy to deal with!

We had a three piece for our day two a couple of days ago, and they were absolutely brilliant! There was a few sore heads from the wedding the night before, but people were still up dancing and singing along. Would highly recommend Ceili cottage :)

Courtney and the c?il? band have been so lovely to work with from the get-go. We had requested particular dances and they didn't hesitate for a second in accommodating us. Ceilli Cottage played in the residence bar of Clonabreany House for us last Thursday. They were absolutely fantastic and really kept the party going! All of our guests have been raving about them since. No request was too much and Ciaran even allowed the groom to share the mic to sing ?Wonderwall?, by Oasis. It was an amazing end to our special day.

We had day 2 of our wedding in Celbridge GAA with a two piece playing from 8-10pm. Courtney was excellent to deal with from start to finish. We had a slight change to the timings quite late in the day which was accommodated without any hassle. The music itself was brilliant and went down a treat with our guests. Couldn't speak highly enough about the Ceili Cottage. Super professional, super flexible and really added to a great day. We were debating whether or not it was a good idea to have a second piece of music after the meal, but I noew genuinely don't think it makes sense NOT to. It got everyone on their feet, mixed people up and was the right length to be good fun without having to people to tired. 10/10 would hire again!

We booked Ceili Cottage as one of the bands for the Day 2 of our Wedding on the 3rd of Dec. We had lots of guests travelling from overseas and knew we wanted an Irish trad band to welcome people for the day ahead.

WOW. These guys were amazing. They really set the tone for the day ahead and got everyone excited and the sore heads from the night before were soon forgotten.

Courtney was a dream to deal with and everything ran smoothly. Lottie was super friendly on the day and they gave us a performance to remember.

All our guests loved them and we were sad to hear them end.

We booked Ceil? Cottage for the after-dinner dancing at our wedding following several recommendations from musicians. They were absolutely wonderful and I cannot recommend them enough. The night was amazing and so many guests commented on how outstanding the band was. They played a mix of songs and jigs and reels. C?il? dancing turned out to be a great way to get young and old alike up on the dance floor. It's so easy for dancing to fizzle out at a wedding, particularly later in the evening, but the band kept energy high and there was a great atmosphere throughout.

Courtney was wonderful throughout the booking and planning stage - quick to reply to queries, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble - the band even learned a whole new song on request and made 'housekeeping' announcements at various points when evening food and cake was served. Faye, the dancer, led our (mostly international) guests through steps in a fun and accessible way. She was great with the kids who particularly enjoyed the dancing.

Overall, an outstanding group who rounded off our wedding day in the most amazing style. Thank you!

So talented and an absolute delight to work with, Ceili Cottage were fabulous at our drinks reception - with a variety of traditional and non traditional tunes, they played a brilliant mix that completely made the atmosphere. I loved every minute of it and didn't want it to end!!

We booked Ceili Cottage to perform for 3 hours after the groom's rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. I can't say enough positive things about them. Our guests LOVED them. They were perfect for (both) our Irish guests and our other guests from all over the world who had no previous touchstone to Irish culture. Everyone was up dancing, whether they knew what they were doing or not. It was festive and infectious and helped set the tone for the whole 2 day upbeat event. The mix played was trad but young and modern. All the musicians were friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. Courtney, the booking manager is extremely responsive and professional. They delivered on everything from on time arrival and set up through to a wonderful performance. I will be recommending them to my other family members.
