Eoin Flood Classical Guitarist

Eoin Flood is regarded as one of the most exceptional classical guitarists of his generation, performing widely across the US, UK and Ireland and recently invited to perform at the International Concert Artist’s Series at the Miller Theatre in New York to great acclaim. It was the studio of Mark Delpriora at the Manhattan School of Music that first attracted Eoin to the city, where he was twice placed on the Dean’s List in recognition of his outstanding achievement in performance and academic studies.Originally from Killiney in county Dublin, Eoin began his music education with Dr. John Feeley at the D.I.T. Conservatory of Music and Drama. There he received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Performance through classical guitar, both with Distinction. Following his MMus, Eoin studied with Marion Hyland (Royal Irish Academy of Music) and Graham Anthony Devine in London, before completing his Professional Studies Diploma in Manhattan.As a wedding performer, Eoin prides himself on his personal approach with customers. The more comfortable you are on your wedding day, the easier it is for him to focus on providing a musical atmosphere that is memorable and unique. Eoin works very closely, if required, with the couple to choose the music that most represents they’re personalities. Any song requests can be arranged for solo guitar giving your wedding a unique atmosphere.  Eoin has enjoyed a busy and varied career in performance. He has given high profile Classical Guitar recitals in several locations across Ireland, including the National Concert Hall, St. Patricks Cathedral, the Boyle Arts Festival and St. Ann’s Church and in the UK, including the London Oratory, South Kensington. Eoin has worked closely with composer  Roland Dyens as soloist in a production of his Concerto en Si for the Dublin Guitar Festival.In addition to solo performing career, Eoin is an accomplished, chamber musician; jazz guitarist, studying with renowned Irish guitarist Tommy Halferty; and baroque guitarist. He recently performed as Baroque Guitarist in a production of Cavalli’s baroque opera Doriclea. Eoin’s varied background and experience allows him to offer a wealth of styles to his customers. He is comfortable performing through classical, jazz, popular, folk and traditional Irish idioms.Being able to share his love for music gives Eoin a real satisfaction.
