Ruairi was great on our wedding day! I wanted a full dance floor and from the very first song, he had everyone up dancing! Booked him for the whole night as didn't have a band and it was the best decision we made! Thank you so much :)

Ruairi was fantastic, the dancefloor was never empty. We didn't have a band so he was great at playing all the right music to have everyone up dancing from the start.
He even called out to the house a few weeks before the wedding for a chat to go through music we liked, specific requests and specific songs we wanted to avoid!

Ruairi from Irish wedding DJs is brilliant at what he does. We had chosen a great band for the night and wanted to be sure that our DJ kept everyone up on the floor after the band finished. On the night, the transition was seamless and if anything, the dancing got better.
Ruairi goes the extra mile and is very available for his clients. He quickly responded to all emails or phone calls and also met with us one Sunday afternoon to discuss plans and queries and gave us all the time in the world. By the time the wedding came round, it felt like Ruari was another friend joining us in the party.
Brilliant selection of music available on his data base-giving you the chance to select your music in advance. Any special requests that Ruairi didn't have, he managed to find for us in advance.
Ruairi has a great personality and interacted with the guests at just the right amount (he was also politely able to manage the persist ant guests putting in peculiar requests!)
He checked in with us over the night to ensure that we were happy with everything. Although, we were hard to get cause we spent the night dancing our socks off!

We were REALLY pleased with the music. You managed to play all of our favourites we had discussed and at the same time you were able to read the crowd and throw a good mix of other songs in too, which worked really well. It was so good it was actually hard to get a chance to sit down or to mingle as we didn't want to miss the top tunes! Our wedding music and entertainment was such an important part of our special day. What a good choice we made in choosing Irish Wedding DJ's.
Ruairi was not only a pure gentleman to deal with but also so professional! We sent Ruairi (though the company website) a list of the type of music we like and on the night wow did we dance! Our guests never left the floor...
Ruairi also provided the up lighting for our venue. He arrived early during the day ( when the venue were setting up the tables) and the room was illuminated in warm amber for dinner, that evening when the music started, the room was transformed in cool blue!! It was fab and created the party atmosphere we dreamt of.

My husband and I were a nervous about our choice to go with a DJ rather than an traditional band for the wedding entertainment but with Ruairi at the helm there was no need!! We met with Ruairi about 3 times before the big day and he really understood our personalities and listened to how we wanted to put our on stamp on things and gave his honest opinion when he thought our ideas would or wouldn't work. The dance floor was full all night long and the hotel staff mentioned that there was not a wedding like ours in a while and that has a lot to do with the atmosphere that Ruairi helped to create. Rob and I use the word "Boom" a lot when we talk and Ruairi had a playlist of a few "Boom" related songs, it is these little things that put a sparkle in your day. If you want someone that loves their job, will take the time to make your day special as oppose to using a tired play list and is really super easy to talk to then stop looking, you found it. Ruairi people are still talking about our night and it was in September 2013, you helped set the benchmark. Thank you so much.

Myself and my husband got married on Easter Saturday and we were lucky enough to have Ruairi as our DJ. Not only did he help me with my music for ceremony but he was extremely helpful with all our lighting for the day as well as the night which made all the photo's look awesome. The music played was so amazing that the dance floor was never empty so all our guests danced the night away to 3am. We had a really lovely ceremony and the music for evening made the party - thank you Ruairi you were worth every penny!

Well we can not say enough good things about Ruairi. Nothing was a problem for him from the initial contact to the end of the night..the lights were brill in the room made it look fab!!! The music played catered for everyone there and me the bride never mingled because I danced the whole night, people have not stopped signing your praises so glad we went for DJ for the evening! We really cannot express how great Ruairi is, I really hope I can use him again for another function just brilliant..

I organised my whole wedding from abroad, and relied totally on the internet and WOL to find my suppliers. Ruairi has such phenomenally good feedback that I was almost sceptical at first - but believe me, this guy will be the making of your night. He really is just awesomely good at his job.
My husband and I had always planned to have a "DJ only" night, both for budgetary reasons, and also because we really wanted to have some French music for the night (half our guests travelled from France). I had planned to buy the French music, but Ruairi did everything. He asked us for a list, and he then spent time getting the music, listening to every single song on that very long list in order to mix it into his existing music collection. On the night it was absolutely seamless, I had hoped we could have maybe five or six songs to keep the Frenchies happy, but it was almost 50/50.
We rocked Lisnavagh House to its foundations that night. Everyone, I mean absolutely EVERYONE, came up to tell me what a legend Ruairi is. My father-in-law (who never ever dances, but he did that night), my husband's uncles, my own family, just everyone. The dancefloor was never empty, and we had every type of music under the sun - I was jiving with my Dad, rocking out with the girls, 90s hip-hop dancing with my husband... And of course, the legendary French song "Les Lacs Du Connemara". We finished the night with La Marseillaise and Ireland's Call, which was brilliant craic (and Ruairi's suggestion).
Ruairi is a joy to deal with, he's a gentleman and a total laugh besides. He is an absolute professional as well, and went way above the call of duty for us - not only spending what must have been hours creating a seamless music mix for the night, but also arranging microphones etc for the speeches at quite a late stage when I realised the venue didn't have any.

We had Ruair? from Irish Wedding DJs at our wedding and from the first day we spoke to him we knew we had made the right choice. No song was to cheesy, no track was too hard to find. He played something for everyone from Crazy Nights to Lipstick, Galway Girl to In My Life - from 3 years to 73 years, they danced all night!!! For us, Irish Wedding DJ is the ONLY Wedding DJ. Book with them and you definitely won't be disappointed!! Ruair? even let our 6 year old flower girl sing her favourite song and had the recording of it for us before the night was over.

I just wanted to add some comments here, as we had booked Irish Wedding DJ for our wedding in September, they had contacted us well in advance to go over music preferences etc. It was the best night of my life, and the reason why is because the people around us were fab and the music was fantastic,looking back at our pictures the dancefloor was full all night long and everyone danced and danced and danced - what more could you ask for. The contact after we booked you was first class. the visit to the house was something that really won us over with the personal touch u invisaged on us. Your a true peoples dj by empowering the people with what they want for there day not what you want. I have to say you a man true to his word when we walked into our reception it was just as i imagined Perfect. You really entertained our guests from young to old. People are still talking about it 12 wks down the line. Im so delighted we got to meet because we definately made a friend for life.

I was the winner of Ruairi's competition last year so I got the DJ set for free (so he is a man true to his word). Well he was brilliant! We sent him a list of bands and music we liked before hand and he incorporated them all into his set. Everyone once again was dancing all night. We could not have asked for a better DJ! Before our wedding he was in touch to discuss our music preferences- he was both open to our suggestions and helpful with his own. On the night he was uber early, which meant no stress or panic. He was extremely tolerant of the many (drunken!) requests on the night, squeezing them all in as well as those we had agreed on in advance. Such a great mix was played that the dance floor was full all night. He played way beyond the official close time without complaint, and was a true gent and professional on the night. I don't even no where to start in terms of the praise I have for Ruairi! As a person who leaves everything to the last minute it was surprising that I booked him well in advance (he played at my sisters wedding and we had to have him) however it was not surprising that I never got round to actually phoning him to arrange anything dispite his efforts! I did manage to pick a couple of songs on his website for him to play (get system where u colour code songs to play or def don't play). However I knew I had nothing to worry about due to how good he was at my sisters wedding and I wasn't wrong. Ruairi was amazing as with minimal imput from myself he was able to give us our perfect wedding evening! The music was exactly what we wanted, floor full, guests happy, everyone enjoying themselves! which I knew he would be great it was more about the little details, on route to our hotel we received a text msg congratulating us on being an hour married and the best part was when I broke my foot dancing, not only did Ruairi help me a lot but he also managed to make it funny even dedicating footloose to me! I would have no hesitation in recommending Ruairi to anyone for any occasion as he is very talented at his job, takes great pride in it and goes beyond what is expected! Thank you Ruairi!

Given that it was our wedding some may say we are biased but Ruairi was one of the best wedding DJ's I have encountered. Will meet up with you to go through what you want from the day, plays whatever the people want to hear! Some DJ's just say "yeah yeah i'll play that when i get a chance" and never do", not this guy. He even tracked down a french pop song we asked for before hand for the in-laws.
You cannot find a nicer guy even our guests were singing his praises the next day. Buys you a drink and even gets in on some of your photos........if you are lucky enough!

Ruairi was superb as our DJ for our wedding. Everyone loved him and commented on how fantastic he was. He played the best music for all ages so everyone was on the dancefloor. Having Ruairi as our DJ was one of the best decision we made for our wedding. He was perfect and you can tell he absolutely loves his job which is so important. His friendliness and professionalism is outstanding. He even worked on our first dance song (which was Damien Rice's "the Blower's Daughter") so it was more appropriate for our dance. Ruairi met up with us in advance of the wedding to plan the music and then after seeing our wedding room came up with the most amazing lighting that just set the atmosphere and mood. Ruairi had the very difficult task of Dj'ing at my wedding, as it was a mixed race wedding of Irish and Indian. He did an absolutely amazing job of getting tracks before the wedding, communicating with myself and wife very clearly and also stayed very calm which in turn kept us calm. On the night he made everyone very happy and really was in tune with the crowd, to be honest anyone can turn and play a few songs but to read a crowd and play songs to keep the atmosphere going is another matter. He really made our reception run smoothly.

Sorry it has taking me so long to put up a testimonial but I can't recommend Ruairi enough. Everything we asked of him, he did above and beyond. The dance floor was full from start to finish and dealings with him were great from the time of booking right up until the end of the wedding reception. I loved how we could pick our songs from his online database, it seemed to make the night more personalised to us and our guests but also the little bit of background info Ruairi asks of you makes a big impact on the night as he gives more than the 'generic' DJ set we have endured at so many weddings. My legs were so sore the next day from all the dancing.
Overall I can't recommend Ruairi enough..if you don't believe me you can ask all our 170 guests that danced the night away!

Ruari played at our wedding in May, he was really fantastic. He arrived well ahead of time and was set up to begin as soon as the band finished. We had previously sent our selected music to Ruari via his website and he took his cue from our selections and added in a variety of songs to suit our tast and that were guarenteed to keep the dance floor full. Everyone was dancing so much we didnt even have a break for the evening food!!

We did alot of investigations into picking a DJ for our wedding in February 09. Ruairi came up trumps for us. The music on the night was excellent. Our guest are still talking about what a great DJ he was. He played all the music we had agreed in advance with him and gladly took requests from the floor. I would have no problems recommending him for any future weddings. He was extremly professional. If I was organising my wedding again, I'd skip the band and hire Ruairi for the whole night.
