I cannot recommend Marie McElheron highly enough. She is not only an incredibly talented dressmaker, but also a wonderfully friendly, patient and kind lady. Although she stocks various beautiful designer dresses in her shop, Marie also designs dresses. Getting a dress hand made by Marie makes it so much more special and unique. Marie involved me in every single decision regarding my dress, from selecting the material to designing the tiniest details such as neckline, back etc. I could see that it really mattered to her. Making my dress wasn't just another a job to her - she really wants every bride to feel delighted with what they are wearing on their day.
My experiences with Marie were in direct contrast to my experiences in other bridal shops. Three other Dublin based bridal shops rushed me, and one Dublin 4 shop even had me in tears they were so rude to me. Marie, on the other hand, gave me all the time I needed, was utterly patient, and made me feel like the princess that every girl deserves to feel like on their wedding day. Selecting your wedding dress is always going to be an emotive experience - so having the personal attention and kindness of somebody like Marie really makes a difference.
I loved Marie's range so much that I also purchased beautiful bridesmaids and flowergirl dresses from her selection. All of the bridesmaids were delighted with their dresses and looked stunning. And my flower girl looked utterly adorable. I cannot thank Marie enough - not only for my beautiful and unique dress, but also for her kindness and support leading up to the big day.

I just wanted to say a quick thank you to Marie for all her help & advice in choosing a dress for my wedding day on September 25th. Despite having to cancel several appointments due to bad weather in January '10, I got lucky on the 3rd occassion & finally ordered THE dress at an Augusta Jones event. It was a pleasure to try on the beautiful and elegant dresses in Marie's shop. Marie offers the bride-to-be her undivided attention, as part of her one-to-one, personal service. Marie includes alterations in the dress price which is also something to consider. Marie's attention to detail and unhurried, personal service clinched the deal for me!!So if the idea of sharing a bridal shop with 5 or 6 other brides on a busy Saturday afternoon fills you with dread I would recommend making an appointment with Marie.
