Kathleen played the harp at our wedding ceremony and reception. Kathleen is an exceptional musician and a wonderful person to deal with. We greatly appreciated her patience and flexibility in helping us choose the music for our wedding ceremony. She played the harp beautifully on the day. Kathleen is very talented, knowledgeable, and approachable. We highly recommend Kathleen!

Harper Kathleen Loughnane is widely acclaimed for her arrangement and playing of the music of the Irish Harpers of the [phone removed]th and [phone removed]th centuries. Kathleen works as a solo harper, in duet with uilleann pipes, flute and whistle or in duet with uilleann pipes and violin. The moods in her playing range from the exhuberant life of her dance music to the haunting beauty of her slow airs. She has also a particular interest in European Baroque music. Kathleen's repertoire particularly suits the church or civil marriage ceremony, and she delights in contributing music appropiate to each individual couple's special day. Her performing career and recordings have brought her to many parts of the world, including the honour of accompanying both President Mary Robinson on her State visit to Paris and President Mary Mc Aleese on her state visit to Estonia, with the group Dordan. My latest recital was at the opening of the Celts Art and Identity exhibition at the The British Museum currently running until the [phone removed]st January.See website www.harpwest.com for further information.
