My husband and I got married in Rome in April 2012. We had welcome drinks for our guests in the Cabria Bar of the Marriott just after we arrived in Rome. It was absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere was so perfect with a pianist in the background as we sipped prosecco and wine (which was constantly being topped up!) as got chatting to our guests. The food provided was absolutely delicious and was a fantastic opening to our wedding celebrations. The staff were so friendly and welcoming to all our guest and had a smile and something nice to stay to everyone. Our guests are still talking about the Food and Beverage Manager ?Franco? who is so funny, charming and obliging and along with Lavinia, who is his assistant. Both made organising our wedding reception so much easier.
We held a wedding reception for 55 two days later in the rooftop of the Marriott Hotel Grand Flora ? it was so romantic and absolutely perfect! We had our menu tasting in October and treated so well by Franco. From the beginning both Franco and Livinia made the reception planning so easy! They were fantastically efficient to communicate with and everything was ?no problem?. It definitely was the perfect venue for our reception.
On the wedding day after some earlier concerns due to rain (!!) thankfully the skies cleared and the aperitif was served on the rooftop terrace ? it was such a fairytale. I really couldn?t have wished for anymore. We were off having our photos taken but our guests were amazed at the amount of food and drink that was served? when we returned I told my uncle we were going inside for the meal now and he said he thought the aperitif was the meal they had got such a fabulous selection of food to eat ? I was delighted!
The food really was exquisite ? they served seconds for some courses and were so helpful and friendly throughout! The presentation of the tables was just as we had requested and was perfect! We sat at the top table and just took it all it, hardly able to believe it could have worked out so perfectly! Would definitely recommend the Marriott - they made our wedding celebrations perfect - I'd just love to be doing it all over again!!
