Spring Break, Europe’s premier good-time supergroup, are a six-piece act that play the most exciting US floor-fillers of the 1980s. Based in Dublin, and formed out of repeated encounters at the after parties of showbusiness events, this group have performed thousands of shows throughout the country and abroad since they set out in 2005.
Having played at hundreds of weddings, big and small, in more than 100 different venues including castles, hotels, marquees, restaurants, clubs, houses, barns and back gardens, Spring Break are prepared for any crowd in any setting. Their travels have taken them to every county in Ireland, all over Europe, to the Middle East, and also to Asia.
In 2017 Spring Break made international news when, having played at the 40th birthday party of Michael Fassbender, the actor took the time to discuss the “excellent” band with Jimmy Fallon on NBC’s Tonight Show. Proof, if it were needed, that this group are the best friend a good time ever had!
The perfect act for festival settings, Spring Break played 4 sets across the Electric Picnics of 2014 and 2017, in addition to shows at the 2015 and 2017 Groove Festival. Ever-presents at events like Taste of Dublin and the Rainbow Run, they have also twice headlined the Castlepalooza Festival and were part of the lineup for the inaugural Arthur’s Day. And to their delight, 2018 will see the band perform at more outdoor festival events than ever before.
Spring Break have also regularly played corporate shows for some of the largest companies and organisations both here and throughout the world. Namely: Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Apple, Twitter, Yahoo, Diageo, eBay, Vodafone, O2, Aldi, Pfizer, GSK, Nestle, Betdaq, Paddy Power, the IFTAs, RTE2, TV3, RTE Radio 1, 2FM, Phantom FM, Today FM, Newstalk FM, 98 FM, Spin FM, Irish Times, Irish Mirror, Airtricity, ESB, Eircom, Eirgrid, IRFU, Dublin GAA, Davy, PWC, KPMG, AIB, Bank of Ireland, the Central Bank of Ireland, and Accenture.
Known for bringing a light, humourous touch to live broadcasts, Spring Break have appeared on Irish radio numerous times in recent years. The band have chatted and performed live on shows hosted by Ryan Tubridy, Jenny Greene & Nicky Byrne, Tony Fenton, Tom Dunne, Rick O’Shea, Sean Moncrieff, Ray Foley, Bobby Kerr, John Murray, Joe Donnelly, and Michelle Doherty across RTE Radio 1, 2FM, Today FM, Newstalk FM, and Phantom/TXFM.
In addition to entertaining at parties, weddings and private events, Spring Break have also found the time to take their inimitable show public too. Over the years the band have performed over 30 sold out nights across Dublin’s Vicar St, Tripod, and Button Factory venues, as well as 15 sold out nights in the Belfast Empire.
With a firm reputation as the top party band in Ireland and beyond, Spring Break’s wealth of experience in live entertainment is now as vital a component of their show as the musical flair, work ethic, and eye for detail that made them so successful in the first place. This band really are the only show in town!
We had a lot of overseas guests who were utterly blown away by it all.
Thank you so much for making it such a memorable night.
