Transport your guests back to the golden age of jazz, swing, soul and early rock n roll with The Gramophone Social, a one-of-a-kind vintage music experience featuring two original 1920s hand-cranked gramophones, curated 78rpm records and an atmosphere like no other.
From the moment guests arrive, they’ll be enchanted by the warm crackle of old records, the elegant visuals of our period setup and the authentic charm of host Trevor Gyves dressed in 1920s attire and spinning stories along with the tunes.
Genres include early jazz, swing, ragtime, soul, classical, bluegrass and more all played on original shellac records, just as they would’ve been heard 100 years ago.

Trevor was amazing! He was so lovely, set up was gorgeous and he had the most lovely song choice. He was wonderful with our guests and everyone is still raving about how special it was. My favourite was the old Christmas songs, they sounded magical on the gramophone! Thank you so much again!

Trevor played the gramophones during our meal and then a DJ set all night and was such a star from start to finish. He was so professional even in the emailing phase, and really made our wedding so special. Everyone was talking about the gramophones and the great DJing for ages after! Literally everyone was on the dancefloor right up until the last song which was completely down to Trevor because our families aren't particularly big dancers 😀 He was clearly really enjoying himself and I couldn't believe how much energy and all round good vibes he brought throughout the whole night, despite working for about 8 hours straight with barely a break! Such a sound, easygoing and generally amazing person. I would 100% recommend Trevor for your wedding, your guests will love it and you will not regret it ⭐

We had the pleasure of having Trevor from The Gramophone Social perform at our drinks reception at our wedding this past August. He was fantastic! I am a record collector myself and love old vintage things so to have something like this at our wedding was so special for me. Trevor's kindness and our shared enthusiasm for records made our interactions leading up to the wedding an absolute delight. He even allowed me to bring some of my own 78's to play on the day. He has a great fun presence on the day, you can tell he loves what he does. He is great with the guests that want to know more about the gramophones or old records, I saw him explaining things to some interested guests. Having the double gramophone setup with other vintage items on display is also a great photo opportunity and a unique talking point for people. His music selection was full of all the old great songs for the past. We had a lot of people coming up to us saying how great the music was. He is very generous with his time as our drinks reception ended up being a bit longer than we originally said but he was happy to stick around and play the entire thing. We are so happy we booked him.

Trevor was an absolute dream to work with. Everything was so easy, from communication, to set up. There's no stress. He set up on the day and entertained our guests with amazing tunes and even better vibes!
We would highly recommend him to bring a little ole school pizazz to your day, whether it be a wedding or otherwise!

We were so delighted we found Trevor and his wonderful Gramophones. Between Trevor himself happily chatting to our interested guests, and the incredible music, it really added a unique touch to our drinks reception. So many of our guests remarked at what a great idea it was, and how much they enjoyed experiencing the live music.
Trevor was so helpful, friendly and organised from our very first contact, he was an absolute pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for something a little bit different!
We will hopefully get to enjoy his music again soon at another event!

The gramophone social were the perfect vintage addition to our wedding drinks reception! Trevor was a pleasure to deal with and provided the most beautiful background music and atmosphere at our drinks reception. His gramophone set up provided the perfect backdrop for lots of unique photo opportunities and the guests loved his music!

Trevor was a real highlight of our day. Okie guests still talk about him ! He provided such a cool vintage vibe for our drinks reception, we had a fantastic soundtrack to our photos aswell. He was v professional and self sufficient and liaised with the venue himself.

We wanted something unique and different for our reception. And how often do you see gramophones at a wedding?! We are so glad we went with this option. The music set the tone for the day and it was a real conversation starter. Trevor has a great collection of records and it was just an amazing set! Trevor also did the rest of the music for our big day including the Panoramics and the DJ set. The man is a machine - he just kept going!

We were delighted to have Trevor play at our drinks reception in December 2021. It was a really great sound and the choice of music was exactly what we were looking for. It suited the venue really well!! Many of our guests mentioned to us how cool the sound was and really enjoyed it. Trevor is very easy to deal with and is very professional and courteous. We had the pleasure of Gramaphone Social play for our jazz themed lunch on the second day of our wedding celebrations. Trevor and his gramaphones were a real feature of the afternoon and set a wonderful mood for our afternoon. We got so many compliments on Gramaphone Social and it's uniqueness. If you want to WOW your guests and you're looking for something a bit different - look no further! The Gramophone Social played at our drinks reception and everyone LOVED IT! So upbeat, fun and energetic, it really got the party going as you couldn't help but bop along. Trevor is a pure gent and a class act, we're absolutely thrilled we chose to have him as part of our big day. Would book him again in a heartbeat!
