The Wild Turkeys Ireland are an award winning Trad band. We are delighted to have been awarded the coveted Wedding Musician of the year 2022.
Available for church and civil ceremonies, drinks receptions, dinner, after dinner ceili and Day 2 entertainment. As a versatile group we can offer groups as small as 3 musicians for your wedding or up to 8 musicians depending on your needs. With over ten years of experience the Turkeys will be sure to have the perfect package for your needs.
All of the members of the group are professional musicians and have high profile careers including performing An Chualainn live on RTE for the 100 years Dail celebrations, performing with Riverdance and international traditional superstars like John Spillane, Orla Fallon, Luka Bloom, Sharon Shannon, Gerry O Connor, Michael O Suilleabhain, Michael Buble, U2, Kila, DeDannan, and Zoe Conway.
We are always delighted to create bespoke ceremony music with each individual couple and are very happy to arrange a couple of songs especially for your wedding day free of charge. We have arranged songs like One Day Like This, What a Wonderful World, Blackbird, and Pachelbel Canon for previous weddings.
Although primarily an instrumental group we are happy to offer a selection of songs throughout our set including Follow Me up to Carlow, Whiskey in a Jar, Marie's Wedding, Mursheen Durken, Tell Me Ma, Raggle Taggle Gypsy and Galway Girl. We can offer you an acoustic set or a fully micd up set at no extra cost.
We now are delighted to announce one of the members of our group is a traditional Irish dancer and she is amazing!!!! She is also delighted to organise a Ceili for you and your guests. We had The Wild Turkeys for our day 2 event of the wedding and they were absolutely perfect! We had 5 piece band for a full irish trad experience and could nit recommend them enough! Amazing voices! Unbelivable performance

We had the wild turkeys for our ceremony and pre reception drinks and they were nothing but fantastic. They really kicked off the day and set vibe for the rest of the day. Such sound lads, brilliant vocals and just so incredibly talented. So fortunate they were available for our wedding!

The Wild Turkeys were absolutely brilliant . We had them for afternoon music for our Day two after lunch . Everyone was up dancing and they were so happy to play the requests from some of my mad family members (we love a good aul C?ili) Everyone commented on how amazing and fun they were and were definitely a big hit ! Would definitely recommend them for any occasion ??.

Lynda and the rest of the band were super easy to work with from the start. Very responsive and did everything we ask asked for without any resistance whatsoever. The music was so beautiful and exactly what we wanted, our guests all commented on how good they were and we couldn't recommend them highly enough. Thank you Wild Turkeys!

Simply fabulous. The Wild Turkeys played at our pre-wedding celebration and were fantastic. Our guests loved it and many commented about The Wild Turkeys in particular. Lynda O'Connor, our primary contact was extremely professional and responsive (she also played violin in the church the next day and at our drinks reception as part of a trio with Orla Fallon - harp & vocals and Paula Hughes - cello). The Wild Turkeys music selection and performance got the crowd going on night one. Moreover I was privileged that they let me play bodhran with them on a couple of tunes and accommodated another of our guests who played on their guitar. We simply cant speak highly enough about them. If trad is what you are looking for at your wedding, your search ends here.

The Wild Turkeys played at our church ceremony and at our drinks reception and were absolutely amazing! They are such talented musicians! They added such a lovely touch to the day. So many of our guests are still complimenting them. Lynda was fantastic and so professional to deal with when organising the music and was so kind and patient! Absolutely delighted that these guys were available for our day! Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for beautiful trad music to be a part of their day!

Couldn't recommend The Wild Turkeys enough! They played at our church ceremony and also at the reception drinks in the hotel. They provided such an lively mix of traditional Irish music and traditional church music! We received so many compliments from our guests about how excellent they were. In addition, they were super responsive by email, regularly checking in and providing us with a huge selection of songs to choose from. They were so professional and a dream to work with! They added the perfect Irish vibe to the wedding and were a hit with young and older guests ????

We?d seen the wild turkeys at a friends wedding a few years ago and when we decided to have trad at our wedding, reached out to them immediately. They were extremely responsive and flexible and incorporated all the songs we wanted into our ceremony. They were lovely and upbeat and perfect for the drinks reception afterwards. People had great fun with them and really loved the music! Couldn't have asked for more!

We had booked the wild turkeys for our wedding last month on 19.05.23. They played in the church and the foyer in the hotel after. Words cannot explain how brilliant this band are they were so flexible as i wanted some trad, some classical, some holy/religious, some pop (I had such a random mixture of music chosen for the church) They played so beautifully and elegantly in the church and when we got to the hotel they were so lively and joyful and really played for the crowd. Every is still taking about them and how good they were. I'm so happy we chose them to do both the church and the drinks reception i will 100% recommend this band to anyone of any music taste as they can do it all. Also in terms of communicatioon leading up to the wedding i cannot praise them high enough. Lynda is the person who replied to all the emails and she is so supportive and takes on board all suggestions however she also has a lot of knowledge and experience with trad and classical music and had a lot of suggestions which i took on board and it turned out to be the best decision. Love this band and can't wait until i have another event so i can book them again.

The Wild Turkeys played at our Day 2 celebrations in Durty Nellie's pub and were absolutely brilliant! The guys were so good we had to convince them to play for an extra hour, which they very obligingly did! Excellent musicianship, which inspired a lot of singing & dancing. Brilliant trad band.

We booked the Wild Turkeys for our day 2 garden party for our wedding. They were excellent. The music was lively and got everyone dancing. It included a fantastic rendition of Raglan Road that was just a magic moment. We would definitely recommend the band

The Wild Turkeys played for our day 2 barbecue and they did a fantastic job! They were very easy to liaise with coming up to the day and Lynda was extremely responsive to all of my messages.
The music was just perfect, lively and the ideal tone for the day! The musicians were so talented and were clearly enjoying themselves, many of our guests asked who they were!

We booked The Wild Turkeys for our wedding pre Covid and when it got cancelled twice, I was so so grateful that this band stuck with us all the way. They finally played at our wedding this year and the were amazing!
In the run up to the wedding Lynda could not have been more helpful, she was so lovely to deal with and really went out of her way to help us.
We had their three piece band play after the wedding dinner and the guys were brilliant. They are such talented musicians and they created such a great atmosphere in the bar. Those who wanted to dance could and those who wanted to relax and chat could do that also. It was the perfect balance.

The contact and organisation was always friendly, helpful and efficient. On the day, the guys were such a pleasure to have as part of our special day. They had us all singing along. The Wild Turkeys played at our wedding on our night before bbq, they were fantastic and even let my dad up on stage to play a few tunes with them. Many of our guests had never been to Ireland before and loved the trad music, it was a great way to start our wedding weekend and welcome people. They are fantastic musicians, really easy to communicate with, arrived on time and were just lovely people. If you're looking for some trad music on your wedding day - I would 100% recommend them.

The Wild Turkeys played at our reception drinks in December for our Christmas wedding. The music was fantastic and all of our guests enjoyed! I also asked the guys if they wouldn't mind playing for an additional 15 mins as I had pushed the reception drinks out by 15mins and this was no problem at all. Would highly recommend ????

The Wild Turkeys played as a three piece (fiddle, banjo and guitar) at the church ceremony and drinks reception for our wedding in October. Their music was genuinely one of the highlights of the day. We wanted mainly traditional music songs for the ceremony and the guys had a huge list of songs to choose from and were happy to facilitate our requests. They then played a great set of tunes at the drinks recpetion mixing instrumental trad, ballads and modern tunes. Couldn't have asked for more from them on the day, the lads were a great and our friends and family thought the music and singing was fantastic.
Special thanks to Lynda for being a pleasure to deal in organising on the run up to the wedding and being extremely responsive on all our queries.

The Wild Turkeys played for us on day 2 of our wedding. We were so delighted with the them it was perfect for our casual day two setting. I also found Lynda very professional to deal with all throughout our planning , she was extremely flexible and responsive and nothing was an issue, even with some last minute changes. The Wild Turkeys played at our wedding ceremony and drinks reception in September and I can honestly not recommend them enough! From start to finish Lynda was so lovely to deal with, advising on what instruments worked best together and how long to play for etc. They were really responsive compared to other suppliers which was a god send when trying to postpone and rearrange the wedding during covid. Lynda was also able to play during our wedding ceremony as she is classically trained which was fantastic.
Our guests loved the music and it was a really nice touch to keep them entertained while we were off getting pictures taken. I would use them again in a heartbeat! X

We were so happy that The Wild Turkeys got to play our reception drinks. They added the perfect atmosphere to the occasion and it was lovely to hear the music float around the gardens of the venue while we had our pictures taken. Lynda is wonderful to deal with and couldn't have been more accommodating to us despite having to reschedule our day.

Brilliant musicians and fantastic singers, the Wild Turkeys were the perfect accompaniment to our wedding ceremony in Smock Alley Theatre. They also entertained our guests during our drinks reception and all our guests loved them, we received great feedback all day. Very easy to deal with and very helpful, they even learned to play the songs we wanted for our ceremony music. I cannot recommend enough.

Amazingly talented musicians and excellent at setting up the fun atmosphere for a wedding. We had their 3piece set up which was perfect for our small wedding at the end of August, they played during our Wedding drinks reception but would of worked equally well for after dinner, especially during these covid restrictions.
Linda was helping us organise what would suit us on the day and was so helpful and friendly to deal with.
I would book them again for any other occasion in the future for sure!!

This group of talented musicians played the music for the ceremony at our wedding. We had a beautiful mix of classisal pieces, both instrumental and voice and to mix it up they also played some lively traditional pieces which was a real treat for everyone on the day.
