Debbie and the whole team were extremely helpful from day one. We had
a great day and all the guests commented on how relaxed it was. I am also celiac and the hotel ensured the food was gluten free for me. Would recommend the venue to everyone.

The Clayton hotel was so helpful when it came to planning our wedding. Debbie made is so easy and so relaxed for us. Nothing was to much hassle. Debbie is such a credit to this hotel. No words will ever explain how happy we were with our wedding and that was down to Debbie and the wonderful staff. I would highly recommend anyone to have there wedding in this hotel.

The Clayton Hotel, Galway was an outstanding venue to work with for our wedding and really pulled out all the stops for us on the day and in the run up. Debbie is fantastic at what she does; so facilitating, welcoming and willing to do whatever needs to be done to in order to fulfill the aspirations of the couple on the big day. I could not praise her highly enough for what she did for us, it was always a yes to any request we had. The food and service was amazing and we really felt looked after and prioritised throughout the day and night.

Vicky & I held our wedding at the Clayton Hotel in Galway,from day 1 they were so supportive,as in there wedding events coordinator Debbie,we viewed many other hotels but she offered us everything we wanted in our own heads what we wanted for our special day,from helping us pick some of our wedding vendors to helping us with the smallest but important touches to our wedding,we had our wedding on Friday the 15th of 2023,I told them I would be staying Thursday,Friday & Day 2 on the Saturday,the hotel catered for all my family & friends that travelled from Kildare for the 3 days I was there & the service was outstanding,attention to detail was down to a tee,we are both still over the moon nearly 6 weeks after with how we were looked after by Debbie,management,staff & chefs (they were real good feeders & quality food),
The only time we were told no to a question was when I asked them to do our wedding for free,of course we had a laugh to that,all our meetings pre wedding was always get the serious part of the meeting done & then we were made relaxed & just had great conversations,if anyone was looking for a recommendation I would easily pass on my recommendations to everyone that was involved in our special day.

We got married in the Clayton Hotel in August and had Debbie as our wedding co-ordinator. Debbie went above and beyond for us and was so obliging if we had any special requests to make our day special. She bent over backwards for us and took so much stress off us on the day. The food was absolutely fantastic on the day and everyone that attended still talk about that chicken voul-au-vont! I still dream about it! Service was impeccable and was so reasonably priced for a wedding! I'd highly recommend the Clayton for anyone's special day!

Debbie and her team at the Clayton couldn't put myself and my husband more at ease if they tried, from start to finish I didn't have to worry about anything. Due to bad weather the reception started a little earlier and the dinner a little earlier and it was all very easily managed someone was by our side right through the evening. I can not recommend The Clayton Hotel Galway enough . Myself and my husband Keelan got married at the Clayton on the 26th of May and it was out of this world. The food, the service, the staff were amazing and so friendly could not do enough for us all day . It wasn't just on the day the lead up was a dream. Debbie was absolutely amazing nothing was too big or small she helped us every step of the way in deciding what would be best for our special day and she went above and beyond our expectations. Debbie was so professional in every sense and you could email or get in contact with her anytime and she was back to you asap. Every single person commented on the top quality service and food. another special mention to Graham the bar manager he was brilliant himself and his bar team were top class on the day keeping us all hydrated! I can't even begin to explain how much Debbie and team made our day so special. From the small touches of the engraved Galway crystal glasses filled to the brim with champagne on our arrival to the amazing and smooth food service. Debbie was on hand with any small question through our 18 months of planning. Nothing was too small for her to help us with. I felt so relaxed the whole day and felt I had nothing to worry about because I knew I was in safe hands and I know not a lot of brides can say that. We had 55+ guests fly over from England and the all could not get over the rooms, the food, the venue and the craic. From beginning to end Debbie and her team at the Clayton hotel went above and beyond for us in every aspect of planning our wedding right up to the day of our wedding. Debbie was great for helping us think of all the little details we might have otherwise missed. The food was absolutely exquisite and even two weeks later we are still getting compliments from our guests about the food. They were so accommodating allowing us to mix and match with different items on the menu and even made a wonderful main course dish at our request that wasn't on their menu choice. They really couldn't do enough for us. On arrival to the venue, we were blown away by how amazing the place looked. Everything was just as we had imagined and better. Every member of staff working at our wedding was so professional and accommodating. Each time there was a new shift manager, they went out of their way to find us and introduce themselves to us and let us know that if we needed anything at all we could come directly to them which we thought was just an amazing personal touch. We had the most fantastic day and night and were once again so happy with our day 2 celebrations in the Clayton. The BBQ food was delicious and there was plenty to go around for everyone. We cannot recommend Debbie and all the wedding team in Clayton enough. They made our whole day magical and we will forever be grateful to them for that.

We have just had the pleasure of getting married at the Clayton Hotel.We must say we made a wonderful choice in going with this hotel.The staff were fantastic and Debbie the wedding coordinator went above and beyond and made our whole day extremely enjoyable and special,no wish or request was to much to ask or to much trouble and she went the extra mile each time for us and we honestly couldn't have wished for anyone better,she really did make the whole experience stress free.
The hotel on our wedding day was set up so beautifully and it truly amazed us how every little detail was taken care off. From start to finish you guys were all amazing and you in particular were there to answer any questions and provide recommendations from day one right through to the wedding day when you printed a last minute thing for me for the speeches!

The food was outstanding and our guests are still commenting on how lovely each course was, we really were well fed . The same goes for the food on day 2, the BBQ was delicious and everyone enjoyed it so much!

The hotel itself looked stunning and all the little details made the day so special, our favorite bits being the personalised Galway crystal glasses and the personalised sign on the flower wall

The Clayton is the perfect venue for a wedding. We dealt with Karina and Debbie, they were really easy to work with it. Any questions were answered and no requests was a big deal either. The food was great from tasting to our big day (pity I couldn't eat as much). The staff couldn't do enough for us from day 1. Highly recommend Clayton as the wedding venue.

We honestly don't know where to start in writing this review, so we may as well start from the beginning. From the minute we met Debbie in the Clayton she was an absolute dream. For the most part we connected over email as covid hit and we couldn't meet in person. But as soon as we got the chance to meet, we were so over the moon that Debbie was as nice in person as she was over email. She helped us with every little detail from chair covers to mood lighting to helping us with every little thing we needed on the day. She made us feel so relaxed and hassle free nothing was too big or too small for her and the team. They are a credit to the hotel and I couldn't recommend the staff any more highly than I can. All our guests said they had never been to a wedding were everything ran so smoothly from the get go. The food was spectacular and the portion sizes were huge. From our first visit to the Clayton we felt that it would be a great fit for our wedding. At the time
when we started wedding planning we had Corina as our planner as we are one of the Covid
weddings that was postponed numerous times but we were very lucky as we had Corina to help
us along the way with all the changes we made there was never an issue on her part and she
helped us as much as she could. As we finally came close to the final date of 26th August 2022 we
had the pleasure of working with Debbie, the wedding coordinator presently in the Clayton. She
was a huge help to us leading up to the big day, everything we asked for whether big or small
she didn't have a problem in helping. On the day, we couldn't of asked for a better hotel or team
as the food and service was incredible, we got many compliments on the venue, staff and service.

We got married in July 2022 in the Clayton Galway and from start to finish everything was perfect. With covid we had to organise alot of the wedding from abroad where we lived. Initially Karina helped us choose the perfect package, the clayton really are the best value we found in our searches considering all they include! Everything was thought of right down to the tayto sandwiches at the end of the night which went down a treat with our guests! Our guests kept telling us they had never been so well fed at a wedding, the food was fabulous. The rooms are second to none, the presidential suite was stunning and big enough to get lost in with an amazing wrap around balcony.

The staff were exceptional, Debbie and Amy made sure everything ran so smoothly! The ballroom was perfectly arranged to allow the band set up behind the scenes and allow the party to get started seamlessly after the meal. Special mention to Debbie who helped us with all the finer details, we would pop in to have "meetings" which really felt like a catch up with an old friend, she made everything so easy!!

We highly recommend the Clayton hotel Galway for your wedding, our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves with some requests for us to get married there on a yearly basis...we wish we could!!

I stayed in the hotel the night before our wedding and it was so chilled out the morning of our big day, which really helped!!

From the minute we arrived for our first meeting we knew the Clayton Hotel Galway was exactly where we wanted to get married. We were greeted by Karina who was so nice and friendly and took a genuine interest in our big day. She made us feel totally at ease and explained absolutely everything. We had attended a number of weddings previously in the hotel and each one was so different and so personal to each couple along with amazing food every time this is want stood out for us.
When Karina changed positions we were handed over to the most amazing wedding planner Debbie, when we were told we would be in very good hands we were not left disappointed. She had everything under control during the planning stages right through to the day itself, absolutely nothing was to much trouble and she was always just a phone call or an email away.
Our wedding day was even more special than either of us could have imagined, every little detail was looked after and included. Our meal was outstanding, we still have guests comment that it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding. The evening food and late night tayto sandwiches were a huge hit also. The waiting staff and bar staff are a credit to you with one more pleasant and helpful then the next. Our suppliers expressed how much of a dream the hotel was to deal with and I couldn't agree more.
We had a bbq at the hotel the next day and it was so delicious, we will definitely be booking this whenever we next have an event, again the staff and chef on the day were brilliant and so accommodating.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Clayton Hotel Galway to anyone for there wedding day you honestly won't find better.

We had planned our wedding pre-covid and covid changed everything including our original hotel chosen to yourselves. After being very sceptical choosing a new hotel as soon as I met Karina I fell so confident about having our wedding with yourselves and then as we had booked so far in advance Debbie came along and was so kind to meet me and reassure me nothing changed only added extra layers to the wedding team and how true was this. Debbie couldn't have done any more to support and help us and nothing was too big to ask. I have never worked with anyone so understanding and accommodating and this means so much to wedding couples for our special day. The day itself was magical and ran so smoothly. I still have neighbours and friends come up to my family and ourselves and speaking about the great day they had and especially mentioning all the beautiful food they enjoyed. My husband and I had our wedding in the Clayton hotel in May 2022. From the very beginning, we received wonderful service from the Clayton, with Debbie (our wedding co-ordinator) being extremely welcoming, flexible and supportive. Debbie was amazing and made us feel at ease when we first met. She is very genuine and clearly loves what she does. She was on hand to take calls, reply to our emails and meet with us whenever we needed.
She and the team (including Amy on the day) created a wedding experience which felt luxurious but relaxed, which was exactly what we were hoping for! There were surprising extra touches on the day (even personalised champagne glasses!). We received a beautiful red-carpet welcome on arrival, and the drinks reception was very enjoyable. The reception room was beautifully decorated, and we were extremely happy with the quality of the food and the very attentive service from the team. All of the guests who stayed overnight commented on the elegant and spacious rooms and the accommodating and welcoming staff that checked them in.
We also had our day two celebration in the Clayton and we really cannot thank the bar staff enough for their exceptional service and friendly banter.
A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Clayton for creating such a wonderful day for us and our guests.

We got married in May with just our parents and siblings. We were originally supposed to have the big wedding with all the trimmings but with covid we had to postpone. We eventually got sick of waiting and when I contacted Debbie to tell her our plans she laid out how our small day could be the special day we wanted. The staff were beyond helpful and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy on the day. Debbie was on the other end of the phone with any questions I had and was with me that morning getting ready which meant so much to me as my sisters couldn't travel to be there. The Clayton made rearranging our day effortless and I wouldn't change a thing!

We got married on the 22nd April 2022 and was the best day of our lives. Debbie and Karina was absolutely amazing. We've been to a few weddings here before and knew straight away where we wanted to get married. Debbie was fantastic when we met her . She gave us loads of ideas things we never even thought of. We had the ceremony there as well and wow is what went through my mind when I walked in. the place looked amazing. The wedding reception was flawless, food was amazing and the service was to perfection. Since our big day our guests are still talking how much they enjoyed the day. massive thank you to Debbie and the Clayton staff for giving us a unforgettable day.

I can't recommend the team at the Clayton enough. We live in Canada, so were planning our wedding from there, which is already hard as it is, but then throw covid in the mix and date changes etc. Debbie the wedding coordinator was more than helpful - there wasn't enough she could do. She answered my many questions and queries without a bother and gave me all the information i needed to be able to make decisions. The day itself was amazing, everything ran more than smoothly. The whole team were just amazing. We couldn't have asked for better service. The food was delicious and they made changes that we wanted for us. I am also gluten intolerant and that was not an issue - they had plenty for me to choose from. The wine was plentiful. The restrictions had just been lifted in time for our big day so we got to have the real wedding experience with the residents bar, which went down a treat for guests that hadn't been out late in quite sometime!! We cannot recommend Debbie and the team enough.

We wholeheartedly recommend the Clayton Hotel to all couples planning their wedding! The hotel was highly recommended by many family and friends. After our first meeting, we knew that this would be the venue for us! It is very important to note that we postponed our wedding from December 2020 to December 2021. This was a time of uncertainty at the beginning of the pandemic and we will be forever grateful to the Clayton Hotel and the wedding co-ordinators Karina and Debbie for the kindness and compassion they showed us. Every time we visited the hotel we were always made feel very welcome by all staff. All guests complimented on the amazing food, service and warm atmosphere of the hotel. Coming up to the wedding, the wedding co-ordinator Debbie was amazing; offering us so much advice and support. Debbie and all the staff at the Clayton Hotel, Galway made our wedding a very special day for us.

When we booked our wedding we were introduced to the brilliant Karina. Karina went through everything with us and we felt as if we were in safe hands and could really start enjoying the fact that we had booked our wedding after many years!! The we got an email saying that Karina was moving department and that Debbie was taking over, to be honest we were a little nervous but after talking to Debbie for the first time we knew she was amazing.
As this was the first time either of us had got married we were new to the game but Debbie and the team knew all the tips and trick to help us. The night of our menu tasting we had booked into the hotel, this had been the first night away and we were looking forward to making the most of it, but the food was amazing and we eat so much we were in bed before midnight!!
Debbie was always available especially the week leading up to the big day. The room was set up beautiful and we had a memory table that you could see that thought was put into setting it up, which meant the world to us.
The waiting staff and the bar staff were brilliant and so friendly. And once again I'm talking about the food, our friends and family are still taking about it.
We have two teenagers and they ware treated like superstars throughout the whole process and really enjoyed the day.

We could not commend Clayton Hotel and their team any higher for how they planned and handled our special day. They treated us with such compassion when we had to change our wedding date at last minute due to COVID restrictions.
We had originally planned to get married in March, 2021, but two weeks before the wedding, it was announced we would be limited to six people. Within minutes of emailing Clayton, we were given three new dates later in the year to choose from, and were told that no matter what, Clayton were going to make sure we were accommodated for and would get to celebrate the day how we wanted to. We eventually got married in October 2021, and thanks to the expert help of our wedding coordinator, Debbie Foot, the day went down without a hitch! We had met with Debbie in the months leading up to the wedding, and she went through the whole day, start to finish with us. She put a very detailed and professional plan in place, everything from the timings of the various parts of the day, to the colour schemes, decor, lights, etc, Debbie had a note on everything. On the day, there wasn't a thing out of place, the rooms looked incredible. The food was delicious, and tables were well serviced, and we didn't have to worry about a thing on the day as Debbie had everything under control. We got great compliments throughout the day from our guests, and ever since, but we couldn't take any of the credit for it. The whole team at Clayton Hotel were responsible for ensuring our guests were looked after and had a great experience. We would have no hesitations recommending Debbie and the rest of the team at Clayton Hotel for any couples looking for a venue to celebrate their special day! Everyone of the team members is friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, the function room is accommodating for weddings of all sizes and can be customised to suit any type of wedding. Most importantly, Debbie will make sure to take the stress and worries away on the day!

The most amazing hotel. We got married here on Saturday and oh my god, Debbie went above and beyond for us. I just don't know how to recommend this hotel enough!! Our day was so magical and ran so smoothly and with restrictions in place- with the staff in the Clayton you wouldn't even know restrictions were there. We had our wedding at Clayton Hotel just over a month ago, and we could not recommend them enough. Debbie was a joy to deal with, and made everything so easy. She was so easy to contact, and took care of everything with a smile on her face. The hotel itself was fabulous, and we got some lovely pictures In the lobby area and in the bridal suite. All of our guests were talking about how lovely the food was and our chef, Joe, was so nice to deal with. We met with him at our tasting, on the wedding day and again the morning after, which just shows the level of care they offer. We had such a great day. Thanks to all at Clayton Hotel, we can't wait to visit again!

Debbie listened to us from the very start, all our desires were taken on board and Debbie made sure on the day that all our wishes were carried out to the highest standard, she was very professional with a friendly and warm approach. The day ran like a fine oiled machine, not one glitch was had, Debbie made our day very easy and stress free. We feel that the attention to detail, to us as a couple and our guests made our day extra enjoyable not just for us but for all of our family and friends too, she really is an asset to the Clayton. We are still having amazing feedback from family and friends. We write this review almost 3 weeks after our wedding and we can honestly say it is still a major point of conversation with family and friends. The help we were given and the service provided were outstanding, especially during the pandemic. No ask was to big or to small, and they assured us the day would go ahead whether we had 6 or 100 guests. The staff went above and beyond what we had expected and helped to make our day truly special. We are extremely grateful for how easy they made the organizing of the day and would happily recommend them to any one. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated like royalty and we are excited to return to celebrate our first anniversary. Guests also commented on the lovely rooms and delicious food, the day couldn't have gone any better.

While we had a covid-19 wedding Karina and her team did everything they could to ensure our day was special, memorable and as normal as possible. We have amazing memories of our wedding and would highly recommend the food, service and staff at the Clayton Hotel Galway.

We had our wedding on 10th of April 2021. From the moment we met Karina back in 2019 we knew we were in good hands. Although due to the pandemic our numbers were cut significantly Karina reassured us that our day would still be perfect, and she was right. From beginning to end our wedding day was like a fairytale. Karina and all the staff at the Clayton looked after us and our family so well. The food was absolutely fabulous and our glasses were never empty. We cannot thank you enough Karina and team and can't wait to catch up with you when we can. For any couples who are in two minds about whether to go ahead or not, just do it! The memories you will make with your immediate family will last a lifetime.

We had our wedding in Clayton hotel on the 30th December 2019. Karina and her team were amazing. From our very first meeting with Karina we knew we would be well looked after and this gave John Gerard and I great confidence. On the day of our wedding expectations were exceeded by the professionalism and the attention to detail that we received. Everything was perfect we could not fault one single thing. Amazing wedding day!

I don't even know how to start. We were lucky enough to have picked the Clayton to have our wedding at. It was honestly the best decision we have ever made. We got married on the 16th October in the middle of the pandemic. The staff at the Clayton could not have done more for us. I have to mention especially Karina Duffy!I cannot praise this lady enough She was constantly with us through this extremely tough year. Constant emails and encouraging texts through out the constant new legislation and changing restrictions. We ended up having a smaller wedding than we had planned but it was honestly the best day of our lives. I have to mention Noel as well, we had our tasting with him and again we were made feel so welcome and all our fears and questions were answered quickly and professionally. I honestly don't think these ppl get paid enough! There was also a lovely blonde lady who greeted us when we arrived and seemed to be running the show, I didn't get her name but as with all our experience of the Clayton staff we were made feel at ease and special. The Perfect October Wedding.

Myself and my husband had our wedding reception with the Clayton Hotel Galway in October 2020. We had originally planned on having the full big Irish wedding but of course with all the restrictions we had an intimate wedding instead. We have to say, we did not feel at all deprived or like we were missing out in any way, shape or form. Karina and her team gave as much effort and attention to our small wedding of 40 guests as she did back when it was 180. We had the best weekend of our lives. The food was DIVINE! We all danced the night away and had the best craic, it was absolutely magical and so, so special. The wedding team were so accommodating and no request or question was too much for them. Any specification or request we had when it came to dancing, food, vendors, decorations, music, or anything at all was - without haste - met with enthusiasm. They even helped organise a screening of small video compilation from family members and friends who couldn't make it, completely unbeknownst to us! I just want to say that we have no regrets in sticking with our original date with reduced numbers. Our guests were absolutely delighted to have something to look forward to and really enjoyed the night out. It felt so special and intimate, and we were absolutely blown away with the entire experience. I just know that these memories will last a lifetime; and the Clayton Hotel, in no small part, played a big role in this. Their team adhered to the guidelines absolutely perfectly and we were able to have an enjoyable wedding and a great time without feeling like we were in anyway at risk. They have the balance of safety and hospitality down to a tee. Both of us would absolutely recommend the Clayton as a venue for your wedding. Their wedding coordinator Karina Duffy is a treasure and a credit to the hotel. Also, in terms of accommodation, the Presidential suite is just something you have to experience! Thank you!

We had our wedding on the 19th September having previously postponed from May. I would highly recommend the Clayton, Karina and the staff. We met with Karina a few weeks before to talk about the restrictions and she put us at ease straight away. Even though it was a smaller wedding than was originally planned we had a great day and all the guests enjoyed it. The way the room was set up was perfect we didn't feel like we had less than 50 people there. For anyone that's having doubts or between two minds about a smaller wedding I would say go for it, it was a great day. We decided on the Clayton Galway as our venue in 2019 after meeting with Karina. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and down to earth. We got married in August 2020 having cancelled our original date in March 2020. Given the situation at the time, we had to cancel our March date with only a week's notice due to Covid-19 and had to reduce our numbers for our August date. Karina and The Clayton were extremely understanding and accommodating, they made an already stressful time so much easier. Anything they could do to help, they did. Karina was in constant contact and put us at ease. We rescheduled for August and thankfully it was able to go ahead with 50 guests. We?re delighted we went ahead with it, the smaller wedding meant we got to speak to all the guests and spend time with them.

Karina had lots of ideas and suggestions and was a great sounding board to test our own ideas for the day. We were apprehensive about how the celebrations would go given the restrictions, but looking back now we honestly feel that it had little or no impact. All the guests felt safe and reassured which allowed everyone to enjoy themselves fully. Everything went even better than planned, it was an amazing day and more than we could have ever hoped for. All of the guests had a brilliant time and are still full of praise for the hotel and how the celebrations went. It was the first wedding in the hotel after reopening and they were incredible. They were determined to make it a memorable day for us, and they certainly did that. It was a big success. The ballroom was beautifully decorated, careful attention paid to lighting, chair coverings and minute details I?d never even think of. In terms of accommodation, the rooms are modern and spacious, and the Presidential suite had to be seen to be believed.

The food was exceptional and plentiful, it really was fine dining. We had a number of guests with specific dietary requirements (allergies, vegetarian, vegan) and all of these were catered for without issue. Guests still comment to us about the lovely food and a number of them have already been back for an overnight stay and meal in The Clayton. The service was fantastic, all of the staff were friendly and efficient. Special mention to Carmel, she was so kind and helpful, always available for any queries and overseeing the service to ensure everything was running smoothly. There was nothing we could fault or would wish to change about the day. The staff at the Clayton made it, they?re incredible. Everyone we met was friendly, polite and professional. Karina is a credit to the hotel, she went above and beyond and it was an absolute pleasure dealing with her. Karina always made us feel so calm and relaxed no matter how manic or hectic things were, and nothing was too much trouble. We couldn't compliment or thank her enough for making it the most special day for us, it was far beyond any of our expectations, we?re very grateful.

We celebrated our wedding in March 2020 just as localized restrictions were being put in place and all the possible headaches were dealt with in an instant by the Clayton Hotel Galway, specifically their excellent wedding coordinator Karina.

Up until the week to our wedding, the planning of the wedding was effortless with Karina handling everything to do with the reception that we asked. She provided timely reminders when we had to decide on certain elements and never made the experience feel overwhelming.

Even with the last minute changes due to restrictions, everything was handled with ease and professionalism. We thoroughly enjoyed every element of the day and really have to thank the Clayton Hotel Galway, Karina and all the staff who made the day an absolute pleasure.

Karina and all the staff really made the whole aspect of planning our big day effortless from the outset and we can't thank them enough for all they did for us.

WE GOT MARRIED ON THE 14TH MARCH 2020 (RIGHT IN THE MIDST OF THE COVID PANDEMIC WHEN IT ALL BEGAN), WE WENT FROM HAVING 180 GUESTS TWO DAYS BEFORE OUR WEDDING TO 100 GUESTS WITH LESS THAN 48 HOURS TO GO DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS.

WHEN THE RESTRICTIONS WERE ANNOUNCED THE PANIC AND DISMAY WE FELT WAS SO OVERWHELMING. WE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHETHER TO PROCEED WITH THE WEDDING OR CANCEL BUT THE CALMING REASSURANCE OF KARINA IN THE CLAYTON WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED!

KARINA, OUR WEDDING COORDINATOR, MET WITH US ONLY A FEW HOURS AFTER THE MEASURES WERE ANNOUNCED AND HER SMILE AND WARMTH AND REASSURANCE EASED OUR ANXIETY STRAIGHT AWAY. SHE MADE US FEEL IT WASN'T ALL DOOM AND GLOOM AND OUR WEDDING CAN STILL GO AHEAD EVEN WITH LOWER NUMBERS AND THAT WE WOULD HAVE THE DAY WE ALWAYS PLANNED.

EVERY MEMBER OF STAFF FROM THE RECEPTIONISTS TO THE WAITRESSES AND BAR STAFF IN THE CLAYTON HOTEL MADE US FEEL SO SPECIAL. THE CLAYTON MADE US AND OUR GUESTS FEEL SO SAFE EVEN WITH THE NEW COVID RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE AND MOST OF ALL EVERYONE WAS SMILING AND LAUGHING AND COVID19 WAS A DISTANT MEMORY (FOR THE DAY AT LEAST).

THE FOOD WAS IMPECCABLE, THE SERVICE WAS INCREDIBLE, THE D?COR OF THE VENUE WAS AMAZING BUT WHAT MAKES THIS VENUE THE PERFECT CHOICE FOR WEDDING IS NOT JUST THE FOOD AND THE ATMOSPHERE BUT IT'S AMAZING STAFF AND HOW THEY MAKE YOUR WEDDING DAY AS THEIR NUMBER 1 PRIORITY.

We had the joy of celebrating our wedding on 26th October 2019 in the Clayton Hotel. While the Clayton is a beautiful establishment and perfectly located, it was not either of these things that made our day so prefect. As you see, like a house that is beautifully designed and well located, it is not these things that make it a home, It is the people who live in that house that make it a home. The Clayton Hotel can to be likened to this. It was the staff that made our day, so special. We first met the staff of the Clayton the year previously at my brother's wedding. Their effortless way of keeping the whole day running smoothly was amazing. They were so pleasant to all their guests and spend the day ensuring that not only the bride and groom had a great day, but that every guest did. This was our first time at a wedding in the Clayton and it was on this experience that we booked our wedding there within days of my brother's wedding. Upon first meeting Karina, I knew that this lady knew her job inside and out, and most importantly for us, she was not doing a sales pitch. She got to understand what type of people we are, so she could fully understand what we wanted for our day. She really wanted to ensure we got what we wanted for our day, not what she thought we needed. Throughout the year, I called on her for advice, which was invaluable. On the day, it was her and Carmel Walsh we saw first at the hotel to greet us, and not with a wave or a hand shake, but with a genuine hug, that made me know that they were really happy for us. It was like we were the first wedding they ever had there, as their excitement and enthusiasm was evident, which is so important as they made it all about us. Both of these ladies could not do enough for us and were so mindful of us all day.

The guests are still raving about the quality if the food, and the endless amounts of seconds. They too could not complement the staff enough.

We can't recommend the Clayton Galway enough for weddings. We got married there the 19th of July 2019 and they went above and beyond. Karina was exceptional to deal with thought the whole planning process. She was always quick with her responses and I asked a lot of questions! She made us feel as if it was truly our day from the very beginning. We felt at ease with her from our first meeting. Everything we asked for was done. The food and service for the dinner was excellent. We found all the staff friendly and professional. They made our day so special for us. It is the perfect place to have a wedding in Galway especially if you want to do it your way! We can't thank all the staff enough!

We got married in the Clayton hotel and
we are so happy with everything. The venue was beautiful and all my guests commented on how lovely the food was and how much finger food was at the reception. There was such a selection of food and loads of it. The meal was gorgeous and piping hot. The staff Karina and Carmel were so helpful on the day and before the wedding also.
The bridal suite is the nicest I have seen and it was a treat to have two nights staying in this. Overall we are so happy with how our day went and delighted that we chose the Clayton for our big day.

One of the best hotels, I would recommend everything, especially in terms of organizing wedding. One just need to choose the venue the hotel and the wedding coordinator Karina Duffy will take care of everything. She makes sure everything will go error less. It's an amazing place to stay and to celebrate any important event. My husband and me celebrated our wedding at this hotel and it was absolutely amazing. My husband and I celebrated our special day at the Clayton Hotel in Ballybrit on 14th of April, 2018. Our first meeting with hotel staff, was with Karina. We were highly impressed with the standard of service that we received from Karina throughout. She allayed any fears that we had about having to organise our wedding reception from abroad. Karina's help and attention to detail made the process of organising the day from Scotland a lot easier than initially anticipated! Karina was always available to contact and she was willing to help in any way she could. We are thankful to the Clayton staff for making our Wedding day so memorable and relaxed for all. The day was seamless from start to finish. The food, the service and the ballroom exceeded all of our expectations. The staff were noted by us, our friends and family for their friendly, helpful and kind disposition. They went above and beyond for everyone. All of our guests, many who had travelled from other countries thoroughly enjoyed the day and thought the level of service was exceptional. We stayed at the Clayton for a few days after our wedding and the level of service was just as exceptional during these days as it was during our wedding day! TOP CLASS!! We fell in love with this hotel 5 years ago when my brother got married. There was no talk of getting engaged any time soon but we decided then and there that when the time came the Clayton Galway was the one for us. We got married Friday the 17th of November and the Clayton couldn't do enough for us. Karina you are some women, nothing was ever an issue and the day flew. You and the team were just amazing and we just can't say enough! John and David such gents and everything was accommodated. The reception staff were super stars. Everyone of our guests raved about the hotel, the rooms, the food and the staff and we're only delighted to pass on that feed back. We're sad it's over but any time we have anything on in Galway ye are our go to hotel! Wishing you continued success and hopefully see you all soon again!

My wife and I were planning our Civil Wedding for 10th Nov 2017 and thankfully chose the Clayton Hotel. We had an initial meeting with Karina Duffy explaining our needs for 30 guests. We selected our package and from that point on Karina and her team took charge. We were kept Up-to-date with everything regarding our special day and were treated as if we had 400 guests. On the day itself, the ceremony room was laid out beautifully, the food was excellent and the guest rooms especially the Presidential Suite offered to Bride & Groom was breath-taking.
The Clayton Hotel staff ensured a seamless transition from beginning to end and were on hand throughout. I can't speak highly enough about Karina, her team and the hotel staff who made our special day truly special.

From start to finish the service provided by the entire team at the Clayton Hotel Galway was second to none. Karina was on hand to answer any questions, big or small, we had in the lead up to the wedding - nothing was ever too much trouble. Karina you were a pleasure to work with and thanks for all your support and assistance on the led up to our big day. This hotel was the first hotel we viewed and we knew straight away that we did not need to look any further. The staff are all so friendly and their laid back approach made us so relaxed on our wedding day. When we arrived at the hotel on the day everything was beyond our expectation, from flower arrangements to center pieces, everything was wonderful. Many of our guests commented on the fabulous food, from canapes to the main meal, there was plenty to drink and eat. Our little guests loved the candy cart!

Karina's reputation as wedding coordinator extraordinaire preceded her and having had the pleasure of dealing with her on many occasions over the past year it's a well deserved title. From the first day we met her we knew we would be well looked after on our big day by the Clayton Hotel Galway. No request was too big or too small and every member of staff we dealt with were true professionals and a credit to the hotel. As well as Karina, in the run up to the big day so many of them helped us - Sarah who was on hand to deal with the room booking queries, Joe, Anne and Alex who looked after us for our menu tasting and Noel who so willingly took us through the ceiling light options so we could decide on our colour scheme. On the day itself we were greeted at the front door by Karina and treated like royalty and this continued until we checked out two days later. Carmel, Davy and all the banquet staff took fantastic care of us and our guests during the meal and the ballroom was set up so beautifully with such attention to detail. We are still receiving compliments about the fabulous food, high quality service, cleanliness and welcoming nature that everyone received. We can't recommend the Clayton Hotel Galway highly enough to anyone planning their wedding. Thank you all for taking such wonderful care of us and making the day so memorable.

On a rainy St Patrick's Day Stephen and I celebrated our wedding at the Clayton Hotel and choosing the Clayton was the best decision we could have made. We can't fit in all the good we have to say about our experience with you guys. From the moment we met Karina we knew we would be having our wedding in the Clayton Hotel. We wanted to do things a little different with food and service, Karina understood our vision and said no problem when other hotels dismissed the idea. From the planning of different menus to the tastings and help from Roy the chef nothing was too much trouble, and their advice and guidance was outstanding when creating the perfect menu for us. The food and service on the day was superb and our guests are still talking about it. We also held our ceremony and first look in the hotel, Karina was amazing at finding the perfect place in the hotel for this to work and it sure did work it was just magical. We felt like we were the most important people in the hotel for the few days we were staying there. From the first minute that we walked into the Clayton Hotel in June 2014 we knew the Clayton Hotel in Galway was going to be our wedding venue. From the outset the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. That welcome was extended to us each and every time we visited in the run up to the wedding. We always experienced a hotel that had a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, yet one that was also really professional. Of course, we had attended weddings in the Clayton prior to our visit so this wonderful environment came as no surprise to us.

The main person in the hotel for us is the wedding co-ordinator, Karina Duffy. From the moment we met her we knew she was going to make our day so special. She was a huge support to the two of us throughout the two years and was always at the end of the phone, or answering an email, whenever we needed her, no matter what the question was! She works so hard to make your day so special and personal. She became a friend to us throughout the entire time of the wedding preparations.

On our wedding day Karina and the staff of the hotel could not have done enough. They followed our requests to the last, and even added in lots of special surprise touches for us on the day, little touches that really made our day even better. We could not recommend the Clayton Hotel enough to any couple looking for a wedding venue. Our guests are still talking about the excellent service, unbelievable meal, speed of service (especially notable considering we had a big wedding), comfortable bedrooms and friendly staff that they experienced at the Clayton Hotel.

We would sincerely like to thank you all in the Clayton for making our day so special. We had attended a number of weddings in the Clayton over the last few years and we knew it was an amazing venue. When we started looking at venues for our own wedding, we were delighted that the Clayton had an available date that suited us and therefore, we did not hesitate to book the Clayton for our wedding celebrations. From then onwards it was an absolute delight and pleasure to be dealing with Karina and all the team. Karina generously shared her expert knowledge with us and gave us extremely useful advice and tips that helped us with all the planning.
Paul and the staff on the day of our wedding were professional, attentive, welcoming, efficient, friendly and very accommodating. Our guests were very pleased with the service and of course the food, everyone relayed to us how tasty and delicious the food was. The room was decorated fabulously and the Christmas decorations created a welcoming and cosy atmosphere. So now all the hype has settled down myself and Barrie would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of the Clayton hotel Galway where we had our wedding 2 weeks ago. Everything from the bedrooms to the food to the friendly staff was just perfect. I swanned in on the Friday eve not a care in the world knowing that wedding co- ordination Karina Duffy had all in hand. All details were fine tuned and the room where we had our civil ceremony was so beautifully decorated considering I don't like flowers it was done to perfection with candles, ribbons and of course the red carpet. We were treated like royalty and we have never felt so famous as we did that weekend. All our guests were delighted with everything which was all we wanted. Before and during dinner Paul was back and forth making sure we wanted for nothing and we totally relaxed. I would highly recommend the Clayton for any event and thanks a million for making our day/weekend so special.

I was trying to think about the best way to express in words how grateful we are both to you and everyone at the Clayton for all that you did for us on the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. Everything was just perfect and there is not one thing that we would have changed about the whole day. You definitely deserve the awards that you have received for weddings. All of the guests that I have spoken to have also reiterated how perfect everything was on the day and how much they enjoyed everything, most importantly the food. Our photographer Alan Hunt, took some great photos in the hotel and I have attached them for you as I think they show the hotel to the high standard that it is presented in.

They made sure all the guests were happy and even before the head waiter who was severing the top table left for the evening he checked in with us to see if there was anything we needed and also to let us know he was leaving for the night. This was huge compliment to me and my husband.

It can be a very daunting thought to try and plan a Wedding when you're living in another country. These thoughts were soon quashed once we sat down with Karina. Karina is a perfectionist and we felt this was wholly reflected throughout our day. She has to be one of the most conscientious, hard-working individuals ever and was always on hand to answer any questions or queries that we had. She continually went above and beyond for us to ensure our Wedding day was the most relaxing, stress-free, enjoyable day ever. We had the absolute pleasure of hosting or wedding at the Clayton Hotel Galway, and I cannot thank the entire staff enough for making it such a remarkable day. Prior to the day itself, Karina Duffy was so helpful and gave us solutions to anything we thought might be a problem on the day, and sound advice on things we hadn't even contemplated, she truly is a valuable asset to the hotel.
If you are planning a wedding, save yourself the hassle of scouting other hotels prior to the Clayton as this was a huge waste of our time. The minute we walked into the Clayton we liked it and no other hotel in Galway came close to the hospitality and welcome we received, when we actually met with Karina and she gave us the full tour we were ready to sign anywhere to insure or date would be secure. Karina also introduced us to key staff members that we would be dealing with on the day, and it was nice to actually know who we would be dealing with before the big day.
On the day itself the lobby and the ballroom could not be faulted it looked absolutely amazing, we had an amazing welcome from the staff and we got the party started. The staff called us in and we had an amazing meal, all of our guests were so happy and comfortable and really enjoyed the day.
It truly was the little things that the staff did and for their generosity towards us on the day, and on previous visits that made us feel so special i.e. whenever we visited a cup of coffee was always handed to us and something to keep our son occupied whilst we met with Karina, and on the day we were greeted with a lovely gift from the hotel, we forgot to have someone assigned for the prayer before our meal, but again the staff had that sorted in a matter of minutes and it was beautiful. Of course to some this would all seem like little things but everything else was so perfect these were the things that stood out, they truly have an amazing team at the Clayton and they will do their utmost best to help you prepare for your fantastic day, we have beautiful photos to remind us of our special wedding day, it's just too bad we can't experience it all again.

After our first meeting with Karina we knew we would be looked after to the highest standard and from that day until we left the hotel as Mr & Mrs Kelly nothing had changed.

Karina was always on hand to answer any questions we had throughout the planning, from accommodating any additional requests we had to making suggestions for all the decisions that went into making our day so special.

Valerie never seems to stops smiling and nothing we wanted was ever a hassle for her.

Cathal's easy going nature put us and our wedding party completely at ease on the big day itself and steering us through all the formalities of the day.

Since the wedding we have heard nothing but positive things from our guests about the Hotel. The food and drinks on arrival was thoroughly enjoyed by all and the meal was just amazing. Everyone has complimented the service, the beauty of the hotel and the beautiful guest rooms.

We knew after our first meeting that we would be having our wedding in the Clayton, and that is simply because of Karina. We couldn't have asked for anyone better.We were delighted with everything she did for us. It was fantastic to have someone so professional looking after us, you put our minds at ease and made everything easy for us. The floor Manager Cathal also did a fantastic job on the day of the wedding and was extremely pleasant and professional in any dealing we had with him.Matt, the rest of the kitchen staff and all of the bar and waiting staff too were Fantastic. The day went well and everything was perfect for us and our guests, we had no complainants from anyone. They were all very complimentary about everything especially the food.

We had our wedding in the Clayton in May 2015 and could not have been happier with the service we received. From the first moment we met Karina she put us at ease and we knew our wedding was in good hands. Nothing was too much trouble or not possible for them. Karina was truly a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Any query no matter how small she answered promptly and gave us great advice with many other aspects of the wedding. All of the other staff were also extremely helpful in particular Valerie who was another God send! When I had a little issue with the train of my dress Valerie and Karina were on hand to help out. With their help I was able to dance the night away and had a fantastic time.

Having a wedding at the Clayton hotel really helps reduce the stress of wedding planning as they are so helpful in taking on tasks that other hotels would shy away from. Things like their beautiful sweet cart to helping with the table plan. The food was absolutely phenomenal. All of our guests complimented the delicious foods and how abundant it was from the lovely snacks on arrival to the generous portions during the meal. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they ever had.

If you want a beautiful hassle free wedding that has amazing food and staff then the Clayton hotel is the only place to go!!

When we decided to get married we went around to a lot of hotels meeting people and were showed around rooms etc. All lovely but when we went into the Clayton and met Karina (the wedding coordinator) we just knew - I know it sounds silly but she is REALLY good at her job! She showed us around the hotel, talked us through the packages and gave us all the information we needed, what really decided it for us though was how much she focused on us as a couple and what was important to us for the most important day of our lives!
With our decision made we started thinking about what we wanted and no matter what little thing we asked there was absolutely no problem - from sunflowers on the menus to the shape of the top table there was no problem in doing anything we asked.
It was so comforting to be able to email Karina about the little things - she could not do enough for you and suggested so many lovely ideas that we were thrilled with!
The day of wedding was perfect, the room looked amazing, our guests & families were blown away by the reception they got when they arrived, from the candy cart, to the finger food to the friendly staff there was not one thing they didn't think of!
When it came to the meal - it was fabulous! Nearly a month later and our guests are still complimenting the meal, the speed at which they got it and how lovely the staff were! Praise indeed as everyone knows its hard to please everyone! The food was amazing, everything went like clockwork thanks to the organisation of Valerie & Cathal - also the speeches went without a hitch!
The band have the option to set up during the day as the stage is behind the fairy light backdrop in the function room - another plus!

from a personal meeting with their head chef to ensure all our concerns were heard, to Sean
their local pianist playing our favourite songs, to our county colours been display on the outside
of the hotel.

Our guests were made feel welcome from the minute they arrived. The staff were fantastic.
They went above and beyond to make our day enjoyable and also relaxing.

Just one example of this would be: One of our guests was unable to sit through the whole meal
as she had her newborn with her. So Cathal brought up each course as we got it to her in her
room. She was also given his mobile number just in case she needed anything at all. This kind of
service isn't seen anywhere else. They really are at the top of their game.

The hotel, food and music was second to none. Everybody commented on the huge portions of
food and the free flowing wine. It was perfect from start to finish.

We would recommend any couple getting married to contact Karina. You will not be
disappointed. She has great patience and enthusiasm for her job. As we said before the
Clayton Hotel is great value for money with all requests taken on board.

My husband and I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the staff at the Clayton Hotel for helping to make our wedding last month so special.
From the moment we met Karina it was as if we had known her for years. On that first day and over the months of planning in the lead-up to our big day she was always bubbly and passionate about her job and a pleasure to deal with. She was also the only wedding coordinator who asked ?what do you want from your wedding??.

The hotel catered to all our requests without question, even going to the bother of hiring in an extra fairy light backdrop for the ballroom to accommodate our demands!
Even at our menu tasting we felt like VIP's with a personalised menu and a waitress assigned to us for the night. The chef was happy to take our suggestions on board, down to even removing the tomatoes from my salad and providing us with an alternative sauce for the starter. It was little things like that which made all the difference in the wedding preparations and reinforced the reason why we picked the Clayton.
On the day everything was perfect, from the beautiful flower and candle arrangements lining the stairs to the elegant set up of the ballroom. We could not have asked for more. And those who stayed in the hotel only had positive things to say about the quality of the bedrooms ? including ourselves ? the bridal suite was fab!!
The food was simply delicious, from the tasty jam scones and cookies at the welcoming reception to the dinner itself - large portions, hot and well timed, and those roasted vegetables were the best I've ever had! Nobody could have complained that they were hungry afterwards.
While our main point of contact was Karina, we know there were so many others behind the scenes who worked to pull everything together, in particular Cathal, Valerie and Nora. Indeed all the staff looked after our guests like they were family and we were so happy with not only their warmth and enthusiasm but the professionalism shown at all times. The one comment that kept coming through from our guests was ?they could not have done enough for us?.

We have no hesitation in recommending the Clayton to any couple who is looking for a wedding venue. You will be hard pushed to find a team who is so willing to work with you and the hotel's top notch service.

Both of us would like to thank everyone at the Clayton hotel for making our wedding day on
23rd August 2014. In particular, we would like to thank the wonderful Wedding & Events
Executive, Karina Duffy. Before the wedding, she helped us organise our perfect reception and
she was very accomodating to our wishes. As we live in the UK, she was excellent at
organising everything via email, skype and telephone. On the run up to the day, Karina
advised us on the last minute things and any issues that came up.

On the day, the staff at the Clayton were excellent. They helped us get a last minute birthday
cake for one of our guests who was allergic to eggs! Several members of staff ensured that all
the stresses were taken off our hands, allowing us to enjoy the day. The reception was
wonderful, the food was excellent and is something people are still commenting on. The rooms
at the Clayton are wonderful, as was the service.

Overall both us and our guests were blown away by the friendliness and professionalism of all of
the staff. We would both highly recommend the Clayton and could not have had our wedding
reception anywhere else. Thank you so much.

The Clayton Hotel Galway, what can I really say except ?our big day, the Clayton way?. I have
to say that the Clayton hotel was the first and last hotel we visited in our search for a venue/hotel
to host our wedding reception and know now it was not only our first choice but the right
choice. From our initial meeting with Karina the Wedding and Events Executive we were put
at ease as we explained what we wanted and the way we wanted it. Our wedding was to be by
no means conventional and had reservations as to how she and her colleagues may react
however she was completely understanding and totally accommodating to all our requests.

Karina's competency coupled with her speedy replies to any questions or queries we had was a
breath of fresh air. As time went on and the big day came near naturally nerves set in however
we were reassured to ?enjoy ourselves and they would take care of the rest? and they did, they
went above and beyond in my opinion.

I cannot complement the Clayton Hotel enough on the way in which everything ran so smoothly
and coming from a Hotel and Catering background years ago I was taken aback at the clear
lines of communication and the genuine friendliness of all the staff and the efficiency at which
everyone knew what was going on and what role they had to play, something which is often a
challenge in a large organisation.

On 4th June we had the best day of our lives and a massive part was played by the Clayton
Hotel and we were in awe of our red carpet, our champagne and piano reception and the way
in which they had decorated the hotel reception for us and our guests, it was like a dream come
true.
When it was time for us to dine again they were most accommodating in that I had a surprise for
my groom and wanted a special track to be played as we were announced and again there was
no fuss and no losing it or anything like that they had it spot on and my husband was really,
really impressed with this, it made my day to see him even happier than I had all day ?.
The fairy light back drop, place settings and overall decoration of the room was simply only
what I had dreamed of and if I had done it myself could not have been any better!.
When it came to dining with our guests again they exceeded expectations as every guest
commented that the food was nothing but first class and that they were anything but hungry!.
Coupled with this we were impressed by the way in which it was clearly handled with two of
our guests having dietary requirements. At no stage did any of the staff have to double check
any aspect of our day with us, most impressive indeed.
Our honeymoon suite was beautiful and it was the little finishing touches like petals on the bed
and a note to wish us well that really made it a memorable experience and with a view and
balcony around the hotel, it was breath-taking to wake up to the morning after not to mention
our champagne breakfast!.

Overall it was ?our day, our way, the Clayton way? and if I had to do it all over again would not
change a single thing and cannot recommend the Clayton Hotel, all the staff and especially
Karina and Cathal enough for making our day an absolutely fabulous one. I want to extend a
huge THANK YOU to them for all their help, consideration and hard work leading up to and
on our big day. In my mind it is thee one and only venue to hold a wedding reception in
Galway. A, 5 stars*****.

Wow, what can I say except all our guests were blown away by the standard in the hotel,
bedrooms, the function room, the food and the level of service. We had guests from USA, UK,
United Arab Emirates who were all so impressed.

We were truly treated royalty by all your teams. Nothing was too much to ask.

Our room was sooo fab, out of this world and loved the crystals and petals in the room. We
didn't see much of it..it was 7am before I hit the bed, sign of a great night!

Feedback from our guests was unreal, the food was amazing and they felt a real presence from
hotel team in the room and they were always checking on the tables.

My friend who herself married recently in Mayo was totally blown away and didn't realise the
hotel ,in her words? was so perfect for weddings? and she would totally recommend the hotel
for weddings.

Both Luke and I want to sincerely thank the Clayton Hotel for making the 7th
December such a special day for us and we cannot praise Karina Duffy our wedding
co-coordinator highly enough. From the welcome on arrival, to the fabulous reception,
the gorgeous meal, to the super friendly service and the amazing late night entertainment,
thank you so much for making our wedding the most effortless and carefree day we could
have possibly imagined. All our guests were wowed by the friendliness and courtesy of
everyone who looked after us. We would also like you to extend our thanks to the entire
kitchen staff for the wonderful food on the day, which people are still congratulating us
on.

Overall the entire staff were absolutely amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better
hotel to host our wedding.

From our very first meeting, Karina put us at ease & we knew that our day would be well
catered for, with no detail overlooked. That took so much pressure off us coming up to
the big day. The hotel was one thing we didn't have to stress over thanks to Karina
Duffy who is in a class of her own when it comes to wedding coordinating

Her communication skills are second to none and if I had any query or requests they were
responded to and answered quickly and efficiently. Her calm and relaxed demeanor made

We had our wedding on the 11th of December 2013 in the Clayton. The Clayton Hotel far
exceeded our wedding expectations.

Our day was simply amazing and we put that down to the
professional approach of the staff at the Clayton. From original booking, all the way through to
the ceremony and the reception we felt we had the benefit of a personal wedding co-coordinator
as their wedding co-coordinator Karina helped us out with so much detail. They advised on the
best places to get flowers, make-up, bands etc. Myself any my husband booked our wedding
through Karina. We decided to have both the ceremony and reception at the hotel. Karina's
insight and knowledge was amazing! She included little extras for us that we would not have
thought of.
We also coordinated with Matt (the head chef). Some of our guests had special dietary
requirements and they were all taken care of with no fuss. I am a vegetarian and I am used of
getting not so great meals at weddings. The meal Matt prepared for me was one of the best
ever! All of the guests have commented to us and/or our parents on the quality of the food and
service they got on the day.

Cathal (manager) was also a pleasure to deal with. He made sure the day ran smoothly and that
all of our guests were well taken care of. One of the children in attendance was sick. Its Mom
sent me a message in the days afterwards to say she was blown away with how attentive the
staff were when they knew her son was unwell and sent him up drinks / colours / books / tissues
etc to the bedroom to help out.

The suite we were given for the night before and the night of our wedding was simply beautiful.
It has a fabulous balcony that wraps around the suite (great for photographs). It has a separate
living room and bedroom which was great as we hosted a mini party for my family in the room
before the ceremony. The bedroom has to be experienced to be believed! Wide screen TV in
each room, fabulous shower room, double hand basins, I could go on and on!

To top it all off, on the day Karina had organised a special bicycle as a prop for us for our
photographs. I had mentioned it to her in passing the day before the wedding (I had spotted it
outside a florists on the way to the hotel) and to my surprise when I went down to the lobby on
the day of the wedding she had it in the lobby!

Karina, Cathal, Matt and all the staff at the Clayton made our wedding experience very special
for us. We spent a couple of months comparing venues in Co Galway and Roscommon for our
wedding. We narrowed our choice down to 3 contenders based on a price point we were
comfortable with and also the star rating of the hotel. We then organised to attend wedding
fairs at all three hotels.

On meeting Karina at the Clayton we quickly eliminated the other two as we felt her approach
was so professional. She listened to our needs and adopted their offerings to meet our
particular needs. On the day the hotel far exceeded our expectations. The level of detail they
went to with decorating the room (it was amazing!!), the quality and quantity of flowers, the
quality of service all of our guests received, the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff all
made our day flow without any problems.
We felt throughout that we were being listened to. We felt that it was equally as important to
Karina (the wedding coordinator) as to us, that our day ran smoothly.

We look forward to our next family celebration and will definitely be returning to the Clayton
many times in the future! I know that some of our guests have booked mini breaks there this
year as they were so impressed with the level of service.

Things are a great with us. It is so hard to believe a year has nearly gone by, but it has been
such a busy time for both of us.

We would be delighted to recommend the Clayton Hotel to any prospective bride and groom. The staff were lovely and Karina really made us feel that whatever we wanted the hotel would provide. This initial meeting with her made us feel that the Clayton was the place for us. The guests flying in from other countries and driving from other parts of the country found the hotel very easily as it was so close to the motorway exit. All our guests complimented the rooms, the beds, and the friendliness of the staff. The customer service was genuine and warm rather than the text book variety that you often find these days. And the setup with the band and dj was great as all the equipment was on site

We have got so much compliments on both food and the staff.

Having had a small family wedding in Kerry, we returned from our honeymoon three weeks later and were lucky to have the opportunity to celebrate (again) our wedding with friends at the Clayton in Galway.

We can not say enough to commend their staff!! Karina & Valeries' confidence and experience ensured that we knew all angles would be covered beforehand. On the night they, and Cathal, were ever present and were able to guide us effortlessly in all events (room, food, musicians). Any minor hiccups (people showing up unexpectedly!!) were easily dealt with and didn't impact at all to our & our guests' enjoyment. The night flew and it was hard to believe we were signing out & saying goodbye to the wonderful Clayton staff at noon the next day!
