Dunmore East Golf Club Weddings

The second we arrived to check out the venue we fell in love with the view. Rain or shine, it takes your breath away and the best part of it all is that you look at that view all day as the restaurant has a wall of windows. The manager, Joe, made it so easy for us to create the day we wanted. The day itself went off without a hitch and flowed seamlessly from ceremony to reception, all of which we had on sight in the golf club. We didn't need to leave even for pictures as there are so many unique spots to get versatile shots not just of the amazing view. The food was amazing, we are still getting compliments from our guests about the quality of the food and the service from the staff. We could not have asked for a better day. I would not hesitate to recommend The Lighthouse Bistro and Golf club for a wedding, small or large.

We had our wedding in Dunmore East golf club on the 9th & 10th of June this year and it was everything we hoped it would be. Our venue search started 2 years previously and we started like most bride and grooms by attending all the wedding showcases hosted by the various wedding hotels that had been recommended to us.

The biggest thing for us as a couple was to have a venue that was exclusive to us for the weekend, somewhere all our friends and family could stay on site for the weekend "at a reasonable rate" and not have to worry about taxis etc. We had been to lots of weddings where you end up sharing the hotel with regular guests who are also staying for the weekend and for us personally that takes away from your special day.

We visited hotel after hotel hosting wedding showcases and while they offered beautiful venues we felt it was all the same thing with just different price points. We stumbled upon Dunmore east golf club and the lighthouse restaurant on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we instantly knew this is what we had been looking for. Picture stunning sea views looking out over to hook lighthouse and Peninsula, beautiful views of Dunmore east, a brand new bar and restaurant with a large outdoor space incorporating out door seating area and children's playground along with lots of holiday homes on site for our guests to stay and relax for the weekend.

From our very first meeting with the team in Dunmore east golf club to the time we left on Sunday afternoon everything was top class. The restaurant area was a little small for our guest numbers so we decided to go with a marquee in the large seating area to the side of the bar & restaurant and this worked brilliantly.

Most of our guests arrived Thursday evening and we had a great pre wedding evening, the team in Dunmore provided live music for the night and it went on later than expected lol, Friday morning some of the lads played a round of golf "it's a lovely course" while the girls got there hair and makeup done. With us having a marquee the bar and restaurant area was transformed into a chill out area where guests arrived back to after our ceremony, greeted by a classical guitarist recommended by the team in Dunmore they enjoyed a lovely canap?s and drinks reception. It really was a fantastic weekend we finished with a fantastic barbeque on Saturday evening followed by another band and DJ who the team in Dunmore helped us source.

The staff in Dunmore More East golf club headed by Joe, Alan & Grace pulled out all the stops to make our wedding weekend as special as it could be, we were their sole focus for the weekend and everything was beautifully presented. We all know weddings are expensive but we have to say we received fantastic value for money in Dunmore East golf club, so if your looking for something a little different than the normal hotel wedding, where your guests will be talking about the fantastic views, service and exclusive venue then I think you should give the team in Dunmore east golf club a call you won't be disappointed.
